Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Panthers' Kyle Allen: Likely starter moving forward
Allen is expected to serve as the Panthers' starting quarterback for at least the remainder of the regular season after the team placed Cam Newton (foot) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Allen has acquitted himself well in his first six starts this season, completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 6.8 yards per attempt to go with a 9:4 TD:INT. With Newton not progressing from his Lisfranc injury as quickly as hoped, the 5-3 Panthers will cast their lot with Allen as the team looks to stay in the thick of the playoff race. Newton is technically eligible for reinstatement from IR during the postseason, but if Allen continues to play well and guides the team to the playoffs, coach Ron Rivera would likely have a tough time justifying a quarterback change.

Gardner Minshew QB | ARI
Jaguars' Gardner Minshew: Headed back to bench
Minshew will return to the backup quarterback role following the Jaguars' Week 10 bye after coach Doug Marrone announced Tuesday that Nick Foles (collarbone) would return from injured reserve and reclaim the starting role Nov. 17 against the Colts, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Minshew performed admirably over the first nine games of the 2019 campaign, completing 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,285 yards and a 13:4 TD:INT. The rookie picked a poor time to have the worst outing of his young career in Sunday's loss to the Texans, as his four-turnover performance was likely enough to convince Marrone to hand the job back over to Foles, who inked a four-year, $88 million deal this offseason. While Minshew presumably won't play in the immediate future, he at least proved himself to be a capable insurance option if Foles should struggle upon his return to action or succumb to another injury.

Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Two fumbles in defeat
Jones completed 26 of 41 passes for 210 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Monday night's 37-18 loss to the Cowboys. He also rushed six times for 54 yards and lost two fumbles.
Jones threw a one-yard touchdown to Cody Latimer to start the second quarter, but otherwise struggled to get the Giants in the end zone, as they kicked two field goals from within the 10-yard line in the first half. He also had a deep ball intercepted just prior to intermission, and coughed it up on New York's second series in the second half. Jones also ended the game with a fumble that was returned 63 yards for a touchdown, giving him a league-high eight lost fumbles. On the bright side, Jones actually led his team in rushing, posting a career-best total on the ground. He should find the going easier in Week 10 versus the Jets.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Tosses three touchdowns in win
Prescott completed 22 of 35 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Monday night's 37-18 win over the Giants. He also rushed three times for 12 yards.
Prescott got off to a poor start, throwing a pick on his very first pass, but would rally to put together an otherwise strong showing. His 42-yard touchdown to Blake Jarwin got the Cowboys going before halftime, and then his top two wideouts made similarly special plays in the second half. Michael Gallup acrobatically leapt into the end zone on a 15-yard reception to start the fourth quarter, before Amari Cooper raced 45 yards untouched to effectively close the game out on the next drive. Those scores gave Prescott his third outing with at least three touchdown tosses this season, putting him in a good place ahead of Week 10's visit from the Vikings.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Retains starting role
Trubisky will continue as the Bears' starting quarterback, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Matt Nagy noted that many people are involved in the offensive struggles, not just Trubisky. However, after completing 67 percent of his passes with a 24:12 TD:INT in 2018, he's fallen to 63 percent and 5:3 in seven games this season, and his performance has been one of the main problems with the Bears' offensive performance. That said, with a 3-5 record and a playoff berth extremely unlikely, it may not make sense to make a move to Chase Daniel unless the organization was convinced they need to go in a different direction next year at quarterback. Trubisky's status likely will be a weekly topic of discussion for the rest of the season.

Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Week 10 status TBD
Though Mahomes (knee) is trending in the right direction, the Chiefs will continue to proceed deliberately this week while they assess the QB's chances of returning to action Week 10, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
There's an obvious downside to rushing the star QB back to action, so if there's any concerns that he's not quite ready, or might be more susceptible to a setback should he return in haste, it wouldn't surprise us to see the team err on the side of caution. Additionally, Matt Moore's solid play in relief of Mahomes makes such an approach even more feasible. We should get a better idea of Mahomes' odds of returning this weekend once it's revealed who takes first-team QB reps at practice Wednesday.

Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Panthers' Kyle Allen: Sticking as starter in Week 10
Coach Ron Rivera confirmed that Allen would remain the Panthers' starting quarterback for the Week 10 game against the Packers, Max Henson of the team's official site reports.
After a three-turnover outing in a loss to San Francisco in Week 8, Allen bounced back in Sunday's win over the Titans, completing 17 of 32 attempts for 232 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the victory. With Cam Newton (foot) progressing slowly in his rehab and speculation mounting that he'll eventually move to injured reserve, Allen looks poised to continue starting for the Panthers beyond Week 10.

Gardner Minshew QB | ARI
Jaguars' Gardner Minshew: QB decision looming
Coach Doug Marrone will decide during the Jaguars' Week 10 bye whether Minshew or Nick Foles (collarbone) will work as the team's starting quarterback, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
The rookie quarterback has played exceptionally well since Foles fractured his left clavicle in the season opener, but he was unable to cement his starting role in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Texans. Minshew had his worst outing of the season, completing 27 of 47 passes for 309 yards with two interceptions and two lost fumbles, with all four turnovers coming in the fourth quarter. The rookie-sixth round pick has played well enough this season to justify keeping him as the starter, but his fumble issues (11 total and seven lost) could end up costing him in the long run. Foles should return from injured reserve for Week 11, but Marrone has yet to tip his hand about who will be under center. The head coach expects to inform the quarterbacks of the decision next weekend after taking this week to deliberate.

Jacoby Brissett QB | ARI
Colts' Jacoby Brissett: MCL sprain confirmed
Brissett suffered a sprained left MCL in Sunday's loss to the Steelers, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
Per the report, the Colts are still waiting for Brissett's full MRI results and have not yet ruled the quarterback out for the Week 10 game against the Dolphins. At this stage, however, it looks like there's a solid chance that Brian Hoyer will start that contest.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Delivers three scores in upset win
Jackson completed 17 of 23 pass attempts for 163 yards and a touchdown while rushing 16 times for 61 yards and two more scores in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Patriots.
This was actually one of Jackson's worst rushing games this season from an efficiency standpoint (3.8 yards per carry), but the Patriots were not able to stop him from breaking the plane of the end zone on two occasions. The sophomore gunslinger hasn't become the polished pocket passer we thought we were witnessing following a five-touchdown performance back in Week 1, but he doesn't need to be if he continues to post fantasy totals akin to running backs on a weekly basis (79.6 rushing yards per game and five total rushing touchdowns). Jackson gets a tasty matchup against the Bengals (who rank in the bottom third against both the run and the pass) on Sunday.
