Allen is being evaluated for head injury during Sunday's game against the Patriots, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Allen was forced from the contest after absorbing a helmet-to-helmet hit. In his absence, Matt Barkley has taken over at QB for the Bills.

Keenum was pulled from Sunday's road game against the Giants for rookie signal-caller Dwayne Haskins, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Keenum directed four drives before his removal, throwing an interception before the Redskins punted on the next three possessions. Overall, he completed six of 11 passes for 37 yards and the aforementioned pick. It remains to be seen if the change from Keenum to Haskins will last into Week 5 and beyond, as Colt McCoy is back to full health but was a healthy scratch Sunday.

McCoy (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday at the Giants.

McCoy got through a full week of practice for the first time since early August, but the Redskins won't test their luck with the veteran quarterback. Earlier in the week, there seemed to be a chance he'd get a spot start with Case Keenum in a walking boot, but Keenum himself ditched it and will continue to lead the offense. Behind Keenum, rookie Dwayne Haskins is serving as the team's backup signal-caller.

Stafford (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Stafford dealt with hip discomfort that grew worse as Week 4 prep went on, resulting in a limited practice Friday and questionable designation for this contest. Schefter's source further relayed, "This is the closest he's probably been to not playing, but he's planning on going." The statement is referencing Stafford's consecutive start streak, which reaches 132 on Sunday.

Darnold, who has been dealing with a case of mononucleosis, is slated to undergo tests on his spleen Monday, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.

Per the report, if the test results are favorable, the QB can resume practicing and working out. If that's the case, Darnold, whose physical activity has been limited through his recovery, will have a chance to return to action as soon as Week 5's contest against the Eagles.

With no missed games since 2010, Stafford has developed a reputation as one of the NFL's toughest quarterbacks, so it's fairly notable that sitting out Week 4 was even viewed as a consideration. According to Schefter, the pain in Stafford's hip has worsened since he first popped up on the Lions' injury report Friday, which could leave the quarterback susceptible to additional aggravation while he plays on this weekend. Barring any major in-game setbacks, however, Stafford is expected to take every snap under center while the contest is competitive.
