  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Not expected to start Sunday

Darnold (foot), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, isn't expected to start but will go through a pregame workout before his status for the contest is determined, sources tell Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Jets are tentatively planning to go with Josh McCown under center for a third straight game, though things could change if Darnold gives the coaching staff more faith in his health by turning in a quality workout beforehand. After missing the past two contests, Darnold returned to practice this week as a limited participant, but there's apparently still some concerns from the Jets that he's not 100 percent recovered from the strained right foot. Effectively out of the playoff picture entering Sunday with a 3-8 record, the Jets probably won't be inclined to take any unnecessary risk with the No. 3 overall pick, making it more likely than not that Darnold will be included on the inactive list that is released 90 minutes prior to the 4:05 p.m. EST kickoff. If that's the case, Davis Webb would serve as the backup to McCown.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Practices fully all week

Tannehill (shoulder) logged full practice participation Wednesday through Friday ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.

Even though he avoided an injury designation heading into last weekend's 27-24 loss to the Colts, Tannehill's practice reps were still limited coming off a five-game absence. After turning in a quality outing against the Colts with 17 completions on 25 attempts for 204 yards and two touchdowns, Tannehill reported no issues coming out of the contest. That was essentially supported by his lack of restrictions in practice this week, which should give fantasy managers an added measure of confidence in rolling with him in lineups over the final quarter of the season. While health considerations shouldn't be much of a factor with regards to his Week 13 outlook, Tannehill may have a tough time producing useful numbers while matching up with a Buffalo defense that has limited opposing passers to 6.4 yards per attempt (second in the NFL) and an 84.2 rating (fourth) this season.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Set for third straight start

Jackson will remain the Ravens' starting quarterback for Sunday's game in Atlanta with Joe Flacco (hip) listed as doubtful for the contest, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

After failing to log any on-field activity the previous two weeks and being ruled out ahead of wins over the Bengals and Raiders, Flacco returned to practice Thursday and Friday, but was visibly limited during both sessions. Flacco will most likely be inactive or available only in an emergency Sunday while he remains hobbled by the right hip injury, clearing the way for Jackson to make his third straight start and first career nod outside of Baltimore. Though Jackson's 61.4 percent completion rate, three interceptions and two fumbles (one lost) over his first two starts leave much to be desired, he's thus far directed a productive offense largely through his own work on the ground (37 attempts for 190 yards and a touchdown). The threat Jackson presents on zone-read plays has also had a positive effect on running back, with Gus Edwards (40 carries for 233 yards and a touchdown) finding success alongside the quarterback. If Jackson can continue to help the Ravens put points on the board in Week 13, he could keep the starting job moving forward even once Flacco receives clearance to play again.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Still doubtful after throwing

Coach Matt Nagy said Trubisky (shoulder) did some throwing at Friday's practice, though it wasn't enough to prevent the Bears from listing him as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Chase Daniel is expected to get another start Sunday, with Trubisky then expected to return for a Week 14 home game against the Rams on Sunday Night Football (Dec. 9). The 24-year-old quarterback has been listed as a limited practice participant throughout the week, but there hadn't been any report of him throwing passes prior to Friday. His progress at the end of the week suggests he could have a fairly normal practice schedule next week.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Doubtful to face Giants

Trubisky (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Reportedly dealing with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder, Trubisky was listed as a limited participant throughout the week, but there hasn't been any indication his practice regimen included throwing passes. Barring a miraculous last-second recovery, Chase Daniel will get another start while Trubisky turns his attention to Week 14 against the Rams. It will be awfully difficult for the Bears to land a first-round bye in the playoffs if they don't defeat the Rams on Dec. 9 in Chicago. On that note, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network relays that Trubisky is expected back for Week 14.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Deemed questionable for Week 13

The Jets are listing Darnold (foot) as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans, Dennis Waszak Jr. of the Associated Press reports.

According to Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record, Darnold practiced in a limited fashion Friday for the third consecutive day, which was enough to make him a 50-50 proposition for the weekend. Josh McCown (thumb/back), meanwhile, upgraded to full participation Friday after back-to-back limited showings, putting him in line to start Sunday if Darnold is unable to return from a two-game absence. Per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, coach Todd Bowles said he wouldn't announce a Week 13 starter until gameday, so those planning on using either Darnold or McCown in lineups should monitor news regarding the Jets' plans leading up to the 4:05 p.m. EST kickoff. It's possible that Darnold could be active and dress as the backup signal-caller if the Jets aren't yet fully comfortable with his health.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bengals' Andy Dalton: Surgery goes as planned

Dalton underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and said he expects to be ready to go for the Bengals' offseason program, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The Bengals placed Dalton on injured reserve Monday, ending his season after 11 games. The 31-year-old completed 61.9 percent of his throws for 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and 7.0 yards per attempt, figures that all ranked in the middle to back end among all qualified passers. Jeff Driskel will step in as the Bengals' starting quarterback for the remainder of the campaign, but Dalton, who is under contract through the 2020 season, should reclaim the top spot on the depth chart once healthy next spring.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Turns in efficient outing

Prescott completed 24 of 28 passes for 248 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Cowboys' 13-10 win over the Saints on Thursday. He also rushed five times for 22 yards and fumbled twice, recovering one.

Prescott was razor sharp in terms of completion percentage and averaged a solid 8.9 yards per attempt. He also managed to stay interception-free for the fourth straight game. However, he was sacked seven times and couldn't hold on to the ball on two of them, with the second one transpiring with 2:42 remaining at the Saints' 15-yard line. Cameron Jordan forced and recovered a fumble on a jarring hit of the Dallas quarterback, but the potentially-costly mistake was neutralized by a Jourdan Lewis interception of Drew Brees just two plays later. Prescott has now posted a completion rate of over 70.0 percent in three of his past four games, and he once again displayed impressive chemistry with Amari Cooper, hitting the receiver on eight occasions for 75 yards. Prescott will look to curb his fumbling issues and help the Cowboys to their fifth straight win in a Week 14 divisional showdown against the Eagles on Dec. 9.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Dealing with short-term issue

Trubisky said Thursday that his shoulder injury is a short-term concern, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports. "I feel good," Trubisky stated. "It's not something that's going to [restrict] me in the long term."

Trubisky wouldn't elaborate on specifics regarding the injury, but it consistently has been reported to be an AC joint sprain in his right throwing shoulder. As he told Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Trubisky is going to "do as much as they [the Bears' training staff] let me," which so far has not including throwing. It wouldn't be a surprise if the team exercises caution with the 2017 first-round pick, especially after his replacement Chase Daniel performed well against the Lions on Thanksgiving. Trubisky's activity level Friday will go a long way toward the Bears' decision-making process for Sunday's road game against the Giants.

  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Another limited practice

Darnold (foot) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.

While it doesn't appear Darnold took a major step forward in his recovery from a right foot strain after he was limited for the second straight day, the fact that he was able to participate in back-to-back practices offers hope he might be available Sunday in Tennessee. Because Darnold hasn't appeared in a game since Week 9, the Jets may want to see the rookie put in a full practice Friday before signing off on his return. Josh McCown (back/hand) was also limited in practice for the second straight day, but his health appears to be on less shaky ground than Darnold's heading into the weekend. McCown would draw a third consecutive start if Darnold isn't cleared to play.
