Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Officially inactive Thursday
Trubisky (shoulder) is inactive for Thursday's game at Detroit, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The Bears, namely coach Matt Nagy, expressed optimism Trubisky would be able suit up early in the week, but the tone surrounding the quarterback's availability changed when he woke up Wednesday with less range of motion in his right throwing shoulder than expected, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The development caused Trubisky to be listed as doubtful for this contest, paving the way for Chase Daniel to start for the first time since 2014. With Trubisky officially in street clothes Thursday, Tyler Bray will serve as Daniel's direct backup.

Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Not starting Thanksgiving Day
Trubisky (shoulder), who is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Lions, will cede starting duties to Chase Daniel this week, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Bears haven't officially ruled Trubisky out for the contest while he contends with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder, so the possibility remains that he could dress as the backup to Daniel. It seems more likely than not that he'll be included among the team's inactives, however, especially after the Bears called up Tyler Bray from the practice squad Wednesday to provide additional depth at quarterback. While Trubisky is in line to miss his first game of the season, the Bears appear confident that his injury won't put him at much risk of further absences. The expectation remains that Trubisky will be back under center in the Bears' subsequent game Dec. 2 against the Giants.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: No longer using crutches
Garoppolo (knee) was spotted at Wednesday's practice walking about without the assistance of crutches, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
It's another milestone for Garoppolo as he works back from Oct. 3 surgery to repair a torn ACL. While Garoppolo has thus far avoided any setbacks as he approaches the two-month mark in his recovery from surgery, the 49ers probably won't have a definitive feel for how healthy he is until reassessing him during OTAs.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Limited practice participant
Tannehill (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Coach Adam Gase has already named Tannehill as the Dolphins' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Colts, and with no reported setbacks since that announcement, it's assumed that his limitations were simply maintenance-related. According to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com, Tannehill looked to be throwing normally in the open portion of Wednesday's practice, which validates the notion that he hasn't experienced any setbacks.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Logs full practice
Allen (elbow) was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday.
According to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com, coach Sean McDermott wouldn't fully commit Wednesday to Allen taking back the starting role in Week 12, though it would be a major surprise if that didn't happen. So long as the rookie incurs no setbacks with his right elbow in practices Thursday and Friday, the Bills should clear him to play for the first time since Oct. 14. Though Matt Barkley led the Bills to a 41-10 win over the Jets in Week 10, Buffalo is more incentivized to use what remains of its 2018 schedule to get Allen meaningful in-game reps.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Trending toward another start
Jackson appears to be the leading candidate to start Sunday's game against the Raiders after Joe Flacco (hip) failed to practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Flacco still has two more opportunities to prove his health in practice before the Ravens decide on his status for the weekend, but there doesn't seem to be much early optimism for his availability. Jackson led the Ravens to a much-needed victory over the Bengals in Week 11, with coach John Harbaugh utilizing a ground-heavy game plan that took advantage of the rookie's impressive wheels. Jackson passed only 19 times -- completing 13 for 150 yards and an interception -- and added 117 yards on the ground on 27 carries, the most attempts of any quarterback during the Super Bowl era. Subjecting Jackson to wear and tear on that level doesn't seem like a sustainable long-term plan, so it wasn't surprising Wednesday that the rookie suggested that he's planning to throw more frequently in Week 12. "I know I can throw," Jackson said. "Hopefully, I'm going to start throwing the ball more. The game plan is coming up. We're going to be throwing the ball. They're going to see."

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Progressing, but not practicing yet
Darnold (foot) was in uniform for Wednesday's practice but was listed as a non-participant on the team's injury report, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
While Darnold is said to be making some progress from his strained right foot, his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots remains unclear. At this stage, he's not ruled out for the contest, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. If Darnold ends up being held out again this weekend, Josh McCown would be in line for another start.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Labels self as day-to-day
Mariota (neck) said Wednesday that he only threw during the individual period of the Titans' practice and considers himself day-to-day in advance of Monday's game against the Texans, Travis Haney of The Athletic reports.
Perhaps more notably, Mariota shed light on the specifics of his neck injury, which he said is unrelated to the nerve issue he dealt with in September that impacted his ability to throw and grip the football. Mariota supported that statement by completing his throws Wednesday without the aid of a glove, per John Glennon of The Athletic, which the quarterback hadn't been able do while playing through the previous injury. Though Mariota's availability for Week 12 hasn't been confirmed, he's optimistic that the extra day between games will provide sufficient recovery time.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: On field for practice
Mariota (neck) was present for the open portion of Wednesday's practice and was seen throwing short passes to a team trainer, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.
Blaine Gabbert was the only Titans quarterback that threw to receivers during individual drills, but Mariota's presence on the field in any capacity can be taken as a good sign after he was diagnosed with a stinger coming out of Sunday's loss to the Colts. Since the Titans will travel to Houston to face the Texans on Monday Night Football in Week 12, Tennessee won't unveil its first practice report until Thursday. The extra day off between games should help Mariota's chances of being available this week.

P.J. Walker QB | SEA
Phillip Walker: Let go from practice squad
Walker was released from the Colts' practice squad Wednesday.
This marks the end of Walker's fourth stint with the Colts' practice squad. With Andrew Luck enjoying solid health this season and Jacoby Brissett locked in as the backup, Walker was primarily thought of as an emergency option. Walker could find his way back to the Colts' practice squad if the team promotes other members to the active roster at a later time.
