  • Sam Bradford QB | MIN

Vikings' Sam Bradford: Likely dealing with bone bruise

Bradford (knee) is believed to have a bone bruise, and the Vikings will re-evaluate him after seeing how his knee responds to an injection, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.

Bradford missed Sunday's 26-9 loss to Pittsburgh while dealing with pain and swelling in the same left knee that needed ACL repair surgery in 2013 and 2014. It sounds as if the current issue may not involve the same ligament, though the Vikings' doctors reportedly had a tough time evaluating last week's MRI because Bradford has so much scar tissue built up around the ACL. His availability for Week 3 and beyond still seems to be totally up in the air.

  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Throws for 343 yards in loss to Falcons

Rodgers completed 33 of 50 passes for 343 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 34-23 loss to the Falcons. He added eight rushing yards on two carries.

The Packers offense entered the game without either of its starting tackles and consequently, Rodgers seemed to be hurried and on edge all night. It certainly didn't help that he lost two of his top three receivers in Jordy Nelson (quadriceps) and Randall Cobb (shoulder) before game's end. The health of all aforementioned players is critical to not only Rodgers', but the entire team's success. If the bunch isn't able to go in Week 3, Rodgers could have trouble finding a rhythm against a Bengals defense that's allowed 125 yards passing or less per game through the season's first two weeks.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Raiders' Derek Carr: Efficient with 28 attempts

Carr completed 23 of 28 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 45-20 win over the Jets.

All three touchdowns went to Michael Crabtree, who has long been Carr's favorite target near the end zone. The fourth-year quarterback has been highly efficient on modest volume through two weeks , attempting just 60 passes as the Raiders have won their games by a combined 35 points. Carr has another solid matchup Week 3 in Washington, but he'll then have to face the Broncos (Week 4) and Ravens (Week 5).

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Struggles in loss to Broncos

Prescott completed 30 of 50 pass attempts for 238 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 42-17 loss to the Broncos. He also gained 24 yards on three carries.

Prescott struggled in the face of the Denver pass rush for much of the game and wound up posting a subpar 4.8 yards per attempt. He connected with Dez Bryant and Jason Whiten on touchdown passes, but he also turned the ball over twice, including a pick-six to Aqib Talib with little time left on the clock. Prescott actually led the team in rushing despite just three attempts, but that speaks more to the effectiveness of the Broncos at taking away Ezekiel Elliott. He will look to bounce back next week against the Cardinals.

  • Bryce Petty QB | MIA

Jets' Bryce Petty: Locked in as No. 2 QB

Jets coach Todd Bowles said Petty will serve as the team's No. 2 quarterback for the foreseeable future, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Despite thoroughly outplaying Christian Hackenberg during the preseason, Petty was inactive for a Week 1 loss to the Bills. He then took over as the top backup for Sunday's loss to the Raiders and is now expected to hold the role indefinitely. It means the Jets likely will turn to Petty instead of Hackenberg if/when Josh McCown is benched.

  • Trevor Siemian QB | ATL

Broncos' Trevor Siemian: Throws four touchdowns

Siemian completed 22 of 32 passes for 231 yards, four touchdowns and a pick in the Broncos' 42-17 win over Dallas. He also added 14 yards and a fumble on the ground.

Siemian looked to be in a groove for much of Sunday's game, picking the Cowboy's defense apart with short timing passes - particularly on pivot routes that both C.J. Anderson and Emmanuel Sanders used to their advantage. Spreading the ball out and throwing underneath plays to Siemian's strengths and the potency of the Broncos' running game thus far this season will prevent defenses from pressing up on receivers. Siemian has accounted for a surprising seven touchdowns through two games, but Denver's coaching staff will surely ask him to cut down on his three turnovers as four of the five touchdowns Denver's defense has given up this season have been off turnovers. Siemian's fumble on Sunday was tough to avoid with quick pressure, but his interception was ill-advised and appeared to be the result of miscommunication with Demaryius Thomas.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Rams' Jared Goff: Comeback bid falls short

Goff completed just 15 of 25 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's overtime loss to Washington.

Goff once again spread the ball around connecting with eight different receivers Sunday, and it was also encouraging to see him led the Rams back from an early 16-0 deficit. However, he's now thrown for just two touchdowns through the first two weeks of the season. Goff and the Rams' offense is still a work in progress, and while the sophomore quarterback has the upside to be a go-to fantasy asset, he's not there yet. Next week's matchup against San Francisco could be a telling indication of whether Goff can be relied on against favorable opponents moving forward.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Pulls out victory in home opener

Wilson completed 23 of 39 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 12-9 victory over the 49ers. He also carried 12 times for 34 yards.

It wasn't pretty, but Wilson ultimately pulled out the victory Sunday thanks in large part to his Houdini-like ability to escape dangerous situations. He won the day on a characteristically-elusive play midway through the fourth quarter during which Wilson escaped at least two potential sacks to find WR Paul Richardson for the game-winning touchdown from nine yards out. Although the rest of Wilson's day could be considered erratic and underwhelming, most of the offense's struggles seemed to belong to the offensive line. Not to mention, Wilson's stat line could've looked much prettier if not for a pair of end-zone drops by C.J. Prosise and Tanner McEvoy.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Redskins' Kirk Cousins: Throws for just 179 yards

Cousins completed 18 of 27 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-20 overtime win over the Rams.

After turning the ball over three times in Week 1, Cousins took care of the football against the Rams and led the Redskins to the overtime victory. While it was another poor fantasy showing from Cousins, this could prove to be a buy-low spot. Washington has the weapons to succeed, and next week's matchup against Oakland could turn into a high-scoring shootout.

  • Brian Hoyer QB | LV

49ers' Brian Hoyer: Shut down in Seattle

Hoyer completed 15 of 27 passes for 99 yards and one interception during Sunday's 12-9 loss to the Seahawks.

Hoyer's interception was particularly demoralizing, as it didn't even appear to be on target and instead went right into the hands of Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner. If there's any silver lining to Sunday's events, it's that RB Carlos Hyde remained productive and efficient (124 yards on 15 carries) and offers hope the 49ers' passing game could open up more for Hoyer in coming weeks should opposing defenses stack the box more often.
