Cousins will sign his non-exclusive franchise tender Thursday, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports 1 reports.

After he was extended the tag Tuesday, Cousins will be able to participate in the entire offseason program, while simultaneously working on a long-term deal. After setting career highs in every major category in his first full season as a starter, a happy medium is likely desired from both parties.

The Eagles have signed Bradford to a two-year contract extension, NJ.com reports.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Bradford's new deal with the Eagles is a two-year, $36 million pact, that includes $26 million in guaranteed money. Bradford, who was acquired in a deal with the Rams in advance of the 2015 season, threw for 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 14 games during his first year with Philadelphia. Now further removed from his second torn left ACL (suffered in August of 2014), Bradford will look to flourish under new head coach Doug Pederson and offensive coordinator Frank Reich, while continuing to build upon his rapport with the likes of wideouts Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor, as well as tight end Zach Ertz.

Cousins will receive the non-exclusive franchise tag from Washington on Tuesday, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan D.C. reports.

Cousins' representation and Washington brass have been negotiating for some time on a long-term contract, but by placing this franchise tag on the quarterback before Tuesday's 4 PM ET deadline, the team will receive compensation in the form of two first-round picks if another organization swoops in and hands him an offer that he can't refuse. If the two sides are unable to reach terms of a deal by July 15, he'll play under the franchise tender of $19.953 million in 2016 and then be eligible for free agency next March. Setting career highs across the board last season, Cousins completed 69.8 percent of his passes for 4,166 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions en route to the NFC East title.

The Eagles have reportedly upped their contract offer to Bradford, NJ.com reports.

It remains to be seen if the Eagles' current push will result in re-signing the QB before the start of free agency, but it does appear clear at this stage that retaining Bradford -- who logged a 19:14 TD:INT ratio over 14 games in his first year with Philly -- is the team's preference.

Cousins may become subject to the Redskins' transition tag, NFL.com reports.

Cousins and the Redskins haven't found an agreement in contract negotiations yet, so Washington may opt to use its transition tag on the quarterback. By doing that, Cousins would receive a one-year tender offer worth the average of the top 10 quarterback salaries. Additionally, the Redskins would be guaranteed the right of first refusal to match any offer extended Cousins' way by another team. While it remains to be seen which route the Redskins will ultimately take with regards to Cousins, it appears the transition tag is the latest option under serious consideration.

Dalton (thumb) should be healthy for the beginning of the Bengals' offseason program in April, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Dalton's fractured thumb may have crushed the Bengals' title hopes in 2015, but it shouldn't be an issue for the upcoming season. With Hue Jackson now serving as head coach of the division-rival Browns, Dalton will be working under first-time offensive coordinator Ken Zampese, who served as Cincinnati's quarterbacks coach for each of the past 13 seasons.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy expects Rodgers (knee) to be ready for OTAs in April, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Rodgers had arthroscopic surgery Jan. 16 to address a lingering issue in his left knee. He played golf at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am two weeks ago and should be fine for Green Bay's offseason program.

Bethel-Thompson is signing with the Eagles, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.

With Mark Sanchez under contract through 2016, Bethel-Thompson will likely compete for the No. 3 quarterback role. The 27-year-old former UDFA has spent time with a slew of different organizations over the last five years, but he's never made an appearance in a regular-season game.

Cousins and the Redskins have broken off contract talks and don't have anything further scheduled, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

It comes as no surprise that the two sides are far apart, but it still seems highly likely that Cousins will return to Washington in 2016. If no long-term agreement is reached before March, the team could opt to use the franchise tag as a bridge to continue long-term negotiations. Washington might even allow Cousins to play out a full season under the tag, as his performance before 2015 was largely unimpressive. He was good enough last season that the team will take a massive PR hit if he leaves, but the hesitance to pay him like a top-15 quarterback is still understandable.

Bradford is not expected to receive the franchise tag, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The tag for quarterbacks will cost around $20 million, which is quite a bit more than what Bradford would command in average annual value on a long-term contract. The Eagles are still interested in bringing him back, but the team is probably hesitant about making a significant long-term commitment, and Bradford may want to explore his other options.
