Cam Miller QB | MIA
Cam Miller: Cut by Las Vegas
Miller was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday.
Miller played in all three preseason games, completing 20 of 37 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing an interception. With the team trading for Kenny Pickett on Monday, Miller no longer had the chance to potentially open the season as the backup quarterback behind Geno Smith. Miller will likely end up with the Raiders' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Sam Hartman QB | WAS
Sam Hartman: Let go by Washington
Hartman was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official website reports.
Hartman saw action in all three of Washington's preseason contests, completing 25 of 46 passes for 207 yards, but he also threw four interceptions. The 26-year-old spent the majority of the 2024 campaign on the Commanders practice squad, and he appears potentially destined to rejoin their practice unit ahead of 2025.

Sam Ehlinger QB | DEN
Sam Ehlinger: Let go by Broncos
The Broncos cut Ehlinger on Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Ehlinger lost the backup quarterback job to Jarrett Stidham. A 2021 sixth-round pick, Ehlinger last threw a regular-season pass during the 2022 season when he played four games (three starts) and completed 63 percent of his passes for 573 yards (5.7 YPA), three touchdowns and three interceptions. He'll be a practice-squad candidate.

Jason Bean QB | IND
Jason Bean: Let go by Indianapolis
The Colts waived Bean on Tuesday, Amanda Foster of the team's official site reports.
Bean entered training camp as the underdog against Riley Leonard for the QB3 job behind Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson. Bean didn't do much to close the gap, completing 14 of 24 passes for 144 yards, one touchdown and one interception across two games while rushing for 28 yards on six carries. Assuming he clears waivers, Bean could remain in Indianapolis as a member of the Colts' practice squad.

Will Grier QB | DAL
Will Grier: Released by Cowboys
Dallas released Grier on Tuesday.
Grier spent time on the Cowboys' and Eagles' practice squads last season, but he last logged regular-season snaps back in 2019 with the Panthers, his rookie year. He may be on the short list to re-sign with Dallas as a member of the practice squad.

Seth Henigan QB | IND
Seth Henigan: Doesn't make Jags' initial roster
Jacksonville waived Henigan on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
After four collegiate seasons with Memphis, Henigan signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in April. He got a good look during the preseason slate, completing 27 of 38 passes (71.1 percent) for 178 yards, though he threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns. Pelissero states that Henigan will likely join the Jaguars' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Shedeur Sanders QB | CLE
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Beginning season as No. 3 option
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Tuesday that Dillon Gabriel will work as the top backup to Joe Flacco to begin the regular season, leaving Sanders in the No. 3 role, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
It's still conceivable that both rookie signal-callers get chances under center at some point during what could be a rebuilding campaign for Cleveland. The team traded Kenny Pickett (hamstring) to the Raiders on Monday and cut Tyler Huntley on Sunday, leaving Sanders and Gabriel without further competition as depth options.
-
Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE
Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Named No. 2 quarterback
Gabriel will begin the regular season as the No. 2 quarterback behind Joe Flacco, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders will operate as the emergency No. 3 option. A hamstring injury forced Gabriel to sit out the Browns' preseason opener, but he returned for the team's final two exhibition matchups and looked solid, completing a combined 25 of 37 passes for 272 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Shifts to reserve/PUP list
The Browns placed Watson (Achilles) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Kelsey Russo of the team's official site reports.
Watson will have to miss at least the first four games of the regular season as a result of the transaction, although it wouldn't be a surprise if he stayed on the PUP list as long as possible so the team can avoid further crowding its QB room. He spent all of training camp and the preseason sidelined after undergoing a second Achilles surgery in January. The Browns will open the 2025 campaign with Joe Flacco starting under center and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders behind him on the depth chart.

Devin Leary QB | BAL
Devin Leary: Let go by Ravens
Baltimore cut Leary on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Leary spent all of last season on the Ravens' practice squad, so he could resurface in a similar role for the 2025 campaign. The 2024 sixth-round pick is still looking for a chance to make his regular-season debut.
