Second-year Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will start Sunday night's Hall of Fame Game and play 10 to 15 plays, coach Joe Philbin told NFL Network. Starting receivers Mike Wallace (groin) and Brian Hartline (calf) won't play, according to NFL Network.

Rams tight end Jared Cook has been working with quarterback Sam Bradford since arriving this offseason and have been hooking up routinely in training camp. Their rapport is compared to that of Bradford and Danny Amendola, who left for New England this offseason.

NFL.com reports the Rams' coaches are excited about Cook's ability to catch anything and everything Bradford throws at him. 

"Jared has a giant receiving radius," coach Jeff Fisher said. "With Sam's accuracy, Sam can put the ball out of frame to complete it. And they work really well together." 

Cook's career highs are 49 catches for 759 yards and four scores. Bradford's career highs are 3,702 yards passing and 21 passing touchdowns. If they continue to work well together they could both exceed their career-best marks.  

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has begun to look like the best among the three passers in Philadelphia thus far, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. 

On Thursday, Vick was the no-doubt-about-it best passer on the field, hitting DeSean Jackson for a pair of touchdowns while dominating first-team reps (24 to Nick Foles' 13). 

Per the report, it's clear Matt Barkley is a "distant third" in the competition. 

It's also worth noting the leadership role Vick took in the wake of Riley Cooper's racially insensitive comments this week. Vick spoke to the team and to the media about it, something typical of a starting quarterback. 

Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was able to get into team drills after it first looked as if he'd miss his third straight day.  

Gabbert twisted his ankle when an offensive lineman stepped on his foot in practice earlier this week. He will resume his camp battle with Chad Henne for the starting job. 

While Michael Vick and Nick Foles continue to split reps for the Eagles' starting quarterback job, rookie Matt Barkley is "a distant third," reports the Newark Star-Ledger.

Since the start of training camp, Vick and Foles have split all the first and second-team reps. Barkley has done all his work with the third team. Dennis Dixon has appeared for less than a handful of snaps per day.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill continues to improve as training camp moves along, reports ESPN. 

The report says Tannehill "has hit his stride in the past week" and has been much more efficient and accurate. Tannehill threw three touchdowns in Monday’s scrimmage and hasn't thrown an interception in more than a week.

"I definitely think I am improving, and that's what you want to do," Tannehill said. "You want to come out here, improve every day, learn from your mistakes, don't make the same mistake twice. I think, not only myself but the quarterbacks in general, we’re doing that."

Geno Smith may have gained a "slight edge" over Mark Sanchez in the Jets' quarterback battle, ESPN New York's Rich Cimini said on NFL Live. "If Mark [Sanchez] has more days like this," Cimini said, "we could see a changing of the guard at QB."

With Jaguars quarterback <player idref= sitting out with an ankle injury, <player idref= Chad Henne got more snaps than usual. In 30 snaps Wednesday, Henne hit 14 of 19 throws, reports the Florida Times-Union.

Gabbert hopes to practice Thursday.

Quarterbacks Luke McCown and Seneca Wallace have gotten equal reps with the Saints' second unit as they vie to be Drew Brees' backup, reports the Times-Picayune. McCown's reps might increase now that Wallace is dealing with a minor groin injury.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton doesn't have competition for playing time, but he still faces questions about his future as the team's franchise quarterback, reports ESPN.

Dalton has been to the playoffs twice and has 47 touchdown passes in 32 games. But he's 0-2 in the playoffs and has looked shaky in training camp.

The report says Dalton went from having a rhythm in the first two days to forcing throws into coverage over the next couple of practices. The Bengals, though, remain supportive.

"The way he's commanded the offense, he knows it's his team now," receiver A.J. Green said.
