  • Bryce Young QB | CAR

Panthers' Bryce Young: Tosses first TDs of season

Young completed 24 of 27 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Broncos. He added six rushing yards on three carries.

In his return to the starting lineup, the second-year quarterback put together his best performance of the season. Young connected with Xavier Legette on a six-yard score in the first quarter for his first TD pass of the year and then found Jalen Coker for a 15-yard strike in the fourth quarter. His 224 passes yards also were a season high. Young's two INTs highlight how far he has to go to be viewed as a reliable option under center, but Sunday's effort at least was something he'll be able to build on if he gets another start for the injured Andy Dalton (thumb) in Week 9 against the Saints.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Titans' Mason Rudolph: Fades after hot start

Rudolph completed 22 of 38 passes for 266 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 52-14 loss to the Lions. He added four rushes for 29 yards and an additional touchdown.

Rudolph looked prepared to match Jared Goff and the Lions, as he overcame an early interception to lead the Titans to a pair of touchdown drives by early in the second quarter. He found himself in the end zone to conclude both, first on an 11-yard scramble and then with a five-yard toss to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Rudolph and the Titans faded quickly from there, however, as he competed nine of 15 passes for only 46 yards across the final two quarters. He has offered a modest improvement in production for Tennessee's skill-position players, but it seems likely that the Titans will turn back to Will Levis (shoulder) once the latter is healthy.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Two TDs in failed comeback bid

Prescott completed 25 of 38 passes for 243 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the 49ers. He also rushed once for minus-1 yard.

Prescott's first-half numbers weren't pretty (110 passing yards and an interception), but the Cowboys nonetheless took a 10-6 lead into the locker room. San Francisco's offense woke up in the third quarter while Dallas' remained dormant, as the 49ers scored 21 unanswered third-quarter points while Prescott threw for only six yards and his second interception of the night. He finally heated up in the fourth quarter with touchdown passes of seven and 20 yards to CeeDee Lamb before logging four consecutive incompletions on Dallas' final possession. After throwing a league-high 36 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions last season, Prescott has a pedestrian 10:8 TD:INT heading into a Week 9 road game against the Falcons.

  • Brock Purdy QB | SF

49ers' Brock Purdy: Leads SF to victory on SNF

Purdy completed 18 of 26 pass attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown while rushing eight times for 56 yards and another score in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Cowboys.

Purdy carried San Francisco's offense on a night where two key players -- Deebo Samuel and Jordan Mason -- left the contest early due to injury. The 24-year-old Purdy pitched a clean outing with two touchdowns and no turnovers, the second time he has accomplished that feat in the last three weeks. The Iowa State standout is averaging 262.6 passing yards per game this season with 12 touchdowns to nine turnovers. The status of multiple star players on offense -- including running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) -- will determine whether Purdy will be a good or great fantasy play coming out of San Francisco's Week 9 bye when the team visits Tampa Bay on Nov. 10.

  • Raiders' Gardner Minshew: Looks good against Chiefs

Minshew completed 24 of 30 passes for 209 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. He added two rushes for six yards.

Minshew returned to a starting role with Aidan O'Connell (hand) sidelined and managed to average 7.0 yards per attempt for the first time since Week 1. He didn't push the ball down the field aggressively, instead distributing the ball to short areas of the field while allowing his skill-position players to rack up yards after the catch. Minshew managed to play mostly mistake free, though he did lose a costly fumble that ultimately led to the game-winning score for the Chiefs. Overall, it was a decent performance for Minshew, and he showed some rapport with Jakobi Meyers.

  • Caleb Williams QB | CHI

Bears' Caleb Williams: Struggles against Commanders

Williams completed 10 of 24 passes for 131 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Commanders. He added 10 rushes for 41 yards.

After several strong performances in a row, Williams was unable to find a rhythm in Sunday's loss. He was consistently under pressure and was arguably harmed by the team's run-heavy offensive scheme early in the game, as he attempted only eight passes at the half as opposed to 18 team rushing attempts. While his fantasy performance remained underwhelming, it was positive to see Williams lead two effective drives late in the fourth quarter, highlighted by long completions of 27 and 22 yards to DJ Moore and Keenan Allen, respectively. The offensive line and scheme could continue to hamper Williams, but he showed signs of promise even in a relatively poor performance.

  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Walk-off win against Bears

Daniels completed 21 of 38 passes for 326 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 18-15 win over the Bears. He added eight rushes for 52 yards.

It was a mild surprise that Daniels was active after he sustained a rib injury in Week 7 and went on to practice just once in a limited capacity during the week. He still managed to be active on the ground, highlighted by a long gain of 13 yards, and he was also effective on passing attempts down the field. Daniels completed five passes of at least 20 yards with a long of 61 to Terry McLaurin that set up a field goal later in the first quarter. However, the highlight of the day came on the final play of the game, when Daniels launched a Hail Mary that landed in the arms of Noah Brown after a deflection for a 56-yard score to win the game. That padded Daniels' stat line in an unsustainable way, but he still put together a solid performance given the combination of his injury and a tough matchup against the Bears.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Throws two TDs to stay underfeated

Mahomes completed 27 of 38 pass attempts for 262 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while rushing six times for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Raiders.

Mahomes got back on track after failing to throw a touchdown in consecutive games. The star quarterback threw a pair of touchdowns for the first time since Week 3 against Atlanta, giving fantasy managers something to hang their hats on as we approach the middle of the fantasy season. Head coach Andy Reid stated after the win that Mahomes had his ankle rolled up on but indicated that the quarterback was and will be okay moving forward, Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports reports. Mahomes could be in store for another healthy stat line as the Chiefs prepare for a potential shootout against the Buccaneers next Monday.

  • Jake Haener QB | KC

Saints' Jake Haener: Steps in during during second half

Haener completed 9 of 17 passes for 122 yards during Sunday's 26-8 loss versus the Chargers.

Haener took over after rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler was benched with the Saints down 16-5 midway through the third quarter. The second-year signal-caller has been the No. 2 quarterback while usual starter Derek Carr (oblique) has been sidelined for the past three weeks, but he's now taken over during the second half of back-to-back losses for New Orleans, completing 12 of 21 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown. Haener hasn't brought much more efficiency than Rattler, and there's no reason to imagine that either will have much success given the current state of New Orleans' offense. However, this may not ultimately matter since Carr is expected to be back for next week's game versus the Panthers on Sunday, Nov. 3.

  • Saints' Spencer Rattler: Pulled early in loss

Rattler was 12-for-24 passing for 156 yards during Sunday's 26-8 loss against the Chargers.

Rattler remained ineffective during his third consecutive start in place of injured QB1 Derek Carr (oblique). The rookie signal-caller's longest completion was a screen pass that running back Alvin Kamara took 37 yards in the second quarter. Rattler was eventually benched when the Saints were down 16-5 midway through the third quarter, leaving Jake Haener to finish out the game under center. Carr is expected to be back for next week's game versus Charlotte. Even if the Saints' QB1 is not available, it seems like Rattler still may have lost his job as the temporary starter to Haener moving forward.
