  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Stinger not major issue

Head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that while Allen is sore after suffering a neck stinger on the final drive of Buffalo's win over the Patriots on Sunday, the quarterback's practice schedule this week or availability for this weekend's regular-season finale in Miami isn't likely to be affected, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.

The Bills are playing for the the AFC East crown in a huge primetime matchup Sunday, and even if enough things break their way ahead of the NFL's final regular-season game to ensure they are guaranteed at least a wild-card spot, a loss to the Dolphins would cost the team home playoff games and significant seeding. As such, it's hard to picture a scenario in which Allen won't play, setting the stage for him to be one of the better fantasy options in a week where several starting quarterbacks will be rested or are already hurt.

  • Dresser Winn QB | LAR

Dresser Winn: Joins Rams' practice squad

The Rams signed Winn to their practice squad Tuesday.

The Rams cut Winn from their practice squad back in early November, but they've now decided to bring him back into the fold ahead of Week 18. Assuming Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz remain healthy, Winn will probably remain on the practice squad for the rest of the season.

  • Kenny Pickett QB | CAR

Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Gets full listing Tuesday

Pickett (ankle) was listed as a full participant on Tuesday's estimated injury report, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

This marks Pickett's first full listing since undergoing surgery on his right ankle Dec. 6. The Steelers held a walkthrough to begin Week 18 prep, though, so his activity level in ensuing practices likely will help the team determine whether or not he's set to serve as Mason Rudolph's backup Saturday at Baltimore. If healthy, Pickett seems like the better bet to do so over Mitch Trubisky, but coach Mike Tomlin has yet to make a decision.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Could start again in Week 18

Coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that Tannehill would start Sunday versus the Jaguars if Will Levis (foot) is unable to suit up, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.

The veteran QB started in Week 16 when the rookie was absent due to a sprained right ankle, and Tannehill subbed in again when Levis exited early from this past Sunday's loss at Houston. Over those two performances, Tannehill completed 34 of 46 passes for 320 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions while taking two carries for 37 yards.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Practice status TBD

Coach Mike Vrabel was non-committal about Levis (foot) taking part in Wednesday's practice, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

The Titans plan to evaluate Levis this week after he made an early departure from this past Sunday's loss to the Texans, with Vrabel adding that the rookie quarterback has improved since then, per Jim Wyatt of the team's official site. Levis' ability to play Sunday against the Jaguars likely will be contingent on him logging some on-field work before week's end, but if he's unable to suit up, Vrabel plans to roll with Ryan Tannehill under center, according to John Glennon of NashvillePost.com.

  • Joe Flacco QB | CIN

Browns' Joe Flacco: Could be limited in Week 18

Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team is still "working through" the possibility of sitting Flacco and other starters for all or part of the Week 18;game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Medina Gazette reports. "It's important for us to finish strong, so that's what we're going to do, and then we'll get as healthy as we can going into the next season," the coach said. "We'll have a plan moving forward. I'll update you guys as we get going through the week."

The Browns are locked into the No. 5 seed and a road game against the AFC South champs in the wild-card round, so the team's decision-makers will evaluate what's best for individual players and the team as a whole. Flacco, who turns 39 this month, has been terrific since being named the starter, but it's easy to see him being removed at some point during the game or even rested entirely. Other skill players, like Amari Cooper (heel) and Elijah Moore (concussion) may benefit from an off week, which could impact Flacco's production if he does play. PJ Walker and Jeff Driskel are the options to take Flacco's place under center.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: In line to play Sunday

Coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that he's not worried about the availability of Tagovailoa (shoulder) for Sunday night's game against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Following the Dolphins' Week 17 loss to the Ravens, Tagovailoa noted that his shoulder was a little sore, but it appears as though the QB is in no danger of sitting out this Sunday's contest, which will decide which team claims the AFC East. That said, it wouldn't surprise us to see Tagovailoa's name on Miami's injury report this week.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Neck soreness deemed minor

Allen suffered a stinger in Sunday's win over New England and has some neck soreness Monday, but the issue isn't expected to impact his practice availability, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

The stinger came late in Sunday's victory, and Allen was replaced by Kyle Allen with Buffalo needing only to run down the clock with a pair of kneel downs. Despite the fact that the former was experiencing lingering neck soreness Monday, head coach Sean McDermott said "not that I'm aware of" when asked if the starting quarterback's practice status would be affected by the issue. The Bills can win the AFC East title by beating Miami on Sunday evening, and Allen is fully expected to be behind center for the matchup.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Showing improvement

Lawrence (shoulder) is improving and is considered day-to-day ahead of Week 18's contest against Tennessee, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Lawrence "is definitely improving" but added that the team will wait to see how the quarterback feels Wednesday to evaluate his chances further of suiting up Sunday against the Titans. Jacksonville could potentially have wideout Christian Kirk (groin) back for that contest as well, as the team is expected to open his 21-day practice window Wednesday, per Mark Long of the Associated Press. There's a lot on the line for the Jaguars on Sunday, as they can clinch the AFC South title with a victory. If Lawrence is ultimately deemed unable to suit up for the game, C.J. Beathard would remain the team's starting signal-caller for a second straight week.

  • Falcons' Taylor Heinicke: Could miss Week 18 with ankle issue

Heinicke still is dealing with an ankle injury but will try to be ready to play Week 18 against New Orleans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site, Heinicke was pulled in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to Chicago because he aggravated the ankle injury that limited him in practice throughout the week. Head coach Arthur Smith said the quarterback "will do everything he can to play" against the Saints this Sunday, but there appears to be some doubt about his ability to suit up for that contest, and the team is planning to prepare Desmond Ridder to play "just in case." Heinicke's level of activity during Week 18 prep should provide more insight about his chances of taking the field against New Orleans in a contest the Falcons must win to have a chance at a postseason berth.
