  • Tyrod Taylor QB | NYJ

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Sees first action since Week 8

Taylor completed two of four passes for 13 yards Sunday in a Week 15 loss to the Saints.

Taylor was activated off IR ahead of last week's contest against the Packers, but he didn't get on the field in New York's victory. Tommy DeVito worked behind center in that contest and did so again against New Orleans on Sunday, but Taylor got a chance to run the offense near the end of the first half after DeVito was injured on a scramble. Taylor managed to complete two passes to get the Giants deeper into Saints territory, which was key with punter Jamie Gillan taking over for the injured Randy Bullock (hamstring) as the team's placekicker. Gillan converted a 40-yard field-goal to end the half, but that was the extent of Taylor's opportunity, as DeVito was able to return after halftime. Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed after the loss that DeVito will remain New York's starting quarterback moving forward, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic, so Taylor will continue to work as the undrafted rookie's backup.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Enters concussion protocol

Coach Doug Pederson said after Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Ravens that Lawrence has entered the NFL's concussion protocol, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Lawrence took a big hit at the end of a scramble on Jacksonville's last possession. He finished the game but was evaluated for a concussion after the game and has subsequently been placed in concussion protocol, which implies that the post-game evaluation confirmed a concussion. If Lawrence is unable to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in time to face the Buccaneers in Week 16, backup C.J. Beathard would be in line for his first start of the season in a pivotal game for the 8-6 Jaguars.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Improved play despite taking loss

Lawrence (ankle) completed 25 of 43 pass attempts for 264 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for 41 yards and losing two fumbles in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Ravens.

Lawrence started his second game since suffering a high-ankle sprain -- an injury that usually takes anywhere from four to eight weeks to fully heal -- and the results were a step forward from his three-interception dud a week ago. The 24-year-old showed good pocket movement on his lone touchdown pass in the third quarter when he smoothly executed a fake handoff before planting his feet and delivering a deep dime to Jamal Agnew. Lawrence did get charged with two turnovers after failing to recover either of his fumbles Sunday. With another week free of setbacks under his belt, Lawrence should be good to go against Tampa Bay next Sunday even if he is limited during team practices.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Modest passing numbers in win

Jackson completed 14 of 24 passes for 171 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 23-7 win over the Jaguars. He added 12 rushing attempts for 97 yards.

Jackson finally broke through late in a low-scoring first half with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely, which made up for an interception on the previous drive and put the Ravens up 10-0 with 1:12 remaining before halftime. The mobile quarterback and second-year tight end combined for another key play in the third quarter, as Jackson escaped a sack attempt and uncorked a 26-yard pass that Likely caught over two defenders at the 4-yard line. Jackson led the Ravens in rushing yards, but he was held to fewer than 200 passing yards for the fourth time in the last seven games. Up next for Jackson and the Ravens is a Week 16 Monday Night Football clash with the 49ers, who boast an 11-3 record identical to Baltimore's.

  • Tommy DeVito QB | NE

Giants' Tommy DeVito: Roughed up by NO

DeVito completed 20 of 34 pass attempts for 177 yards with no touchdowns or turnovers while rushing for 36 yards on four attempts in Sunday's 24-6 loss to New Orleans.

The Giants' entire offense struggled to generate much of anything on the road against one of the league's top defensive units. DeVito felt the brunt of Sunday's thrashing, getting sacked seven times and absorbing a late hit on one of his four rushing attempts that left the quarterback laid out and needing medical attention. New York's popular undrafted rookie was able to return and finish the contest, but the end result was a mediocre fantasy line in a losing effort. Assuming DeVito suffered no ill effects from the borderline dirty hit, he will likely be back under center for another tough matchup against the Eagles next Monday.

  • Commanders' Jacoby Brissett: Provides spark in relief

Brissett completed eight of his 10 passes for 124 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Rams. He added two rushes for nine yards.

Brissett entered the game in relief of Sam Howell midway through the fourth quarter with the Commanders down 28-7. He provided an immediate spark to the team's offense, leading a five-play, 67-yard drive that ended in a 29-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin. Brissett had similar success on Washington's next possession, which concluded with a three-yard touchdown toss to Curtis Samuel. Despite Brissett's performance, coach Ron Rivera announced after the game that Sam Howell will remain the team's starter moving forward, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post.

  • Sam Howell QB | DAL

Commanders' Sam Howell: Will remain starter

Howell completed 11 of 26 passes for 102 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Rams. He also rushed the ball three times for 22 yards.

Howell turned in his second straight horrific game as a passer, as he was limited to only 3.9 yards per attempt and displayed poor accuracy. One of the few bright spots of the performance came midway through the third quarter on a 19-yard touchdown pass to the back corner of the end zone to Curtis Samuel. Howell was ultimately benched early in the fourth quarter in favor of Jacoby Brissett, though coach Ron Rivera stated after the game that he was protecting his quarterback and that Howell would remain the team's starter moving forward, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Mixed results bookend brief exit

Murray completed 26 of 39 pass attempts for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while adding 49 rushing yards on six attempts in Sunday's 45-29 loss to the 49ers.

Murray missed a brief period of action early in the contest after taking an elbow to the midsection, but he was cleared to return shortly thereafter, according to Cardinals' beat reporter Darren Urban. The results on the field were mixed for Arizona's starting QB, as he helped his team to an early lead over the favored 49ers before throwing a pick-six towards the end of the first quarter that shifted momentum back to the road team. In positive news, Murray's injury had nothing to do with the surgically repaired knee that cost him the first nine games of the season. Given that fact -- in addition his speedy return Sunday -- we can expect Murray to be available for next Sunday's matchup against the Bears.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Very efficient in victory

Stafford completed 25 of 33 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Commanders.

Stafford continued his second-half resurgence, recording multiple touchdowns and topping 250 passing yards for the third consecutive game. He connected with Cooper Kupp for a 62-yard score just after halftime -- his longest completion of the day -- and followed that with a 23-yard touchdown toss to Demarcus Robinson early in the fourth quarter to clinch victory for the Rams. Stafford has also avoided mistakes in the midst of his hot streak, as he has not turned the ball over in three consecutive contests heading into a key Week 16 matchup against the Saints.

  • Bailey Zappe QB | NYJ

Patriots' Bailey Zappe: Tough sledding in Week 15 loss

Zappe completed 23 of 31 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 27-17 loss to Kansas City.

The second-year QB was efficient but not very productive Sunday, and Zappe wasn't able to build on last week's three-touchdown performance. His ability to move the ball in the second half may have been hurt by the loss of his favorite option, tight end Hunter Henry (knee), who Zappe had hit for a 16 -yard TD in the second quarter prior to his exit. The Patriots have a real shot at landing the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but Zappe is playing for a job next season and isn't likely to let up in Week 16 against the Broncos.
