Kenny Pickett QB | CAR
Steelers' Kenny Pickett: To have surgery, avoid IR
Pickett (ankle) will undergo ankle surgery Monday but is not expected to be placed on IR, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Pickett is expected to miss extended time due to the right ankle injury he suffered during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Cardinals, but by not placing him on IR the Steelers are leaving a window open for him to return earlier than Week 18. While Pittsburgh hasn't yet officially ruled Pickett out for Thursday's matchup against the Patriots, that announcement currently seems all but inevitable. Mitch Trubisky will start under center for the Steelers until Pickett is deemed healthy.

Derek Carr QB | NO
Saints' Derek Carr: In concussion protocol
The Saints have placed Carr in the concussion protocol following Sunday's 33-28 loss to the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Carr was carted off the field during Sunday's loss, and in addition to sustaining a concussion he was evaluated for back and shoulder injuries. This is his second time in the concussion protocol in a three-game span, a fact that casts significant doubt on his chances of returning to the lineup in time to take on the Panthers in Week 14. Jameis Winston would be in line to start for New Orleans if Carr misses time.

Davis Mills QB | HOU
Texans' Davis Mills: Enters for two snaps
Mills completed his lone pass attempt for 18 yards in Sunday's 22-17 win over Denver in Week 13.
Starting quarterback C.J. Stroud was ordered to the sidelines for evaluation following a quarterback sneak during the fourth quarter. Mills was needed for two plays before Stroud reentered the contest. Mills handed off to Dameon Pierce then fired an 18-yard strike to Nico Collins. He's played just three snaps all season.

C.J. Stroud QB | HOU
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Briefly leaves game
Stroud was checked for concussion symptoms and missed two plays during Sunday's 22-17 win over the Broncos, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Stroud was a bit wobbly after being helped up following a 3rd-and-1 quarterback sneak during the fourth quarter and left the game to be checked. Davis Mills replaced him under center for two plays before Stroud re-entered the contest. It was the second time this season that Stroud was checked for symptoms, but he's missed just three plays. Mills handed off to Dameon Pierce and completed an 18-yard pass to Nico Collins before heading back to the sidelines. Stroud took a number of shots Sunday, as the Broncos sacked him three times and delivered eight quarterback hits overall.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Tosses three TDs in Week 13 win
Stafford completed 22 of 37 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 36-19 win over the Browns.
The veteran quarterback lit up a Cleveland secondary that was missing top corner Denzel Ward (shoulder), with a 70-yard TD to Puka Nacua in the first quarter setting the tone for the afternoon. Stafford had thrown more than one touchdown in a game only once this season prior to last week, but over the last two games he's erupted for seven TDs against just one INT. His surge could come to an abrupt halt in Week 14 on the road against the Ravens, however.

Joe Flacco QB | CIN
Browns' Joe Flacco: Solid numbers in 2023 debut
Flacco completed 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
Seeing his first game action since Week 18 of last season, Flacco provided the Browns with some stability at quarterback as he tossed a 24-yard TD to Jerome Ford in the first quarter and an eight-yard score to Harrison Bryant in the fourth. The 38-year-old QB played well enough to potentially stick around on the roster, but per Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, coach Kevin Stefanski declined to name a starter for a Week 14 clash with the Jaguars, suggesting that rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) is still in the mix if he clears the league's protocol before next Sunday.

Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Struggles continue in loss
Levis completed 16 of 33 passes for 224 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Colts. He added two rushes for five yards.
Levis had one of his better performances from a statistical perspective, topping 200 yards for the first time in his last three starts. However, that didn't come without struggles as he completed less than 50 percent of his pass attempts and was also sacked six times, which led to three fumbles. Overall, Levis has now failed to record multiple touchdowns in four of his six starts and has reached 200 yards on only three occasions.

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Quiet in win over Carolina
Mayfield completed 14 of 29 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Panthers.
It wasn't a productive day for the 28-year-old quarterback, but he did connect with Mike Evans for the longest TD of the receiver's career, a 75-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter that put Tampa Bay in the lead for good. Mayfield's fantasy ceiling remains low -- he has just one 300-yard game this season, and only one with more than two passing touchdowns -- but given the state of the QB landscape in 2023, his stability has some value heading into a Week 14 matchup with the Falcons that could have a big impact on the NFC South title race.
-
Bryce Young QB | CAR
Panthers' Bryce Young: Another rough outing
Young completed 15 of 31 passes for 178 yards and an interception in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Buccaneers. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
The rookie quarterback had a chance to put together a game-tying or game-winning drive on the Panthers' final possession, but Antoine Winfield picked off a pass intended for Adam Thielen on fourth-and-one. It's the fifth straight game in which Young failed to reach 200 passing yards and his fourth straight with a completion rate below 60 percent, and Carolina's coaching changes didn't have much impact on his performance. Young will take a disappointing 9:9 TD:INT through his first 11 NFL games into a Week 14 clash with the Saints.

Patrick Mahomes QB | KC
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Struggles at Lambeau
Mahomes completed 21 of 33 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers. He added four rushes for 26 yards.
Mahomes had only 83 yards in the first half as the Chiefs were limited to only 23 offensive plays. His volume picked up across the final two quarters as Kansas City tried to catch up on the scoreboard, though the end result was uninspiring. Mahomes has now averaged under seven yards per attempt in four of his last five games, and he's failed to record multiple touchdowns in two of those five contests. He also threw a key interception late in the fourth quarter, uncharacteristically putting the team in a bad position in its comeback effort. Mahomes will look to bounce back in a pivotal Week 14 matchup against Buffalo.
