Justin Fields QB | KC
Bears' Justin Fields: Doubtful for Week 7
Coach Matt Eberflus confirmed Monday that Fields suffered a dislocated right thumb in Sunday's loss to the Vikings and is "doubtful" for Week 7 against the Raiders, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Eberflus noted that it's all going to come down to "grip strength" when discussing Fields' timetable. Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent won the Bears' QB2 job after a surprising preseason and came in in relief of Fields on Sunday. Bagent lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown on his very first snap and finished 10-for-14 passing for 83 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Chicago also could opt to start veteran Nathan Peterman versus Las Vegas.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Raiders' Jimmy Garoppolo: Set for more tests Monday
Garoppolo will undergo more tests Monday to determine the severity of the back injury he suffered in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Garoppolo was injured midway through the Week 6 win and was taken to a Las Vegas-area hospital for evaluation. According to Schefter, the Raiders are of the belief that it's too soon to speculate about his availability for the team's Week 7 game against the Bears. Brian Hoyer was active as the No. 2 quarterback against New England and came in to replace Garoppolo, but it was rookie Aidan O'Connell who drew the start in Las Vegas' Week 4 loss to the Chargers when Garoppolo was out with a concussion. As a result, it's unclear which of the two signal-callers might be first in line to fill in for Garoppolo should he sit out Sunday.

Malik Cunningham QB | DET
Patriots' Malik Cunningham: Plays six snaps in Week 6
Cunningham played six of the Patriots' 60 snaps on offense and didn't record any statistics in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Raiders.
With Will Grier inactive and Bailey Zappe listed as the Patriots' emergency third quarterback Sunday, Cunningham -- who also has been seeing work in practice as a wide receiver -- headed into Sunday's contest as the team's No. 2 option behind starter Mac Jones. While the versatile rookie didn't throw a pass or record a carry versus the Raiders, he was sacked once. The Patriots plans for Cunningham moving forward haven't been outlined, but now that he's been signed off the practice squad, he could see his role expand to some degree as the season progresses.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Getting more tests on shoulder
Allen will undergo further testing on his right shoulder Monday, but he's not believed to not be dealing with a serious injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Allen briefly excited Sunday's 14-9 win over the Giants due to a potential head injury before being cleared to return. He still required X-rays on his shoulder after the game, but initial indications are that Allen hasn't suffered a major injury. Fantasy managers nonetheless will want to monitor the situation closely, with an update likely to come later Monday or Tuesday once Allen's testing is complete. The Bills have a road matchup with the Patriots on Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence QB | JAC
Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Considered day-to-day
Lawrence (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday but is currently considered day-to-day, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Jaguars are cautiously optimistic that Lawrence has avoided a serious injury. The third-year QB faces a quick turnaround ahead of a Thursday matchup against New Orleans, but Rapoport reports that Jacksonville hopes he will be able to suit up. If the knee injury he sustained during Sunday's 37-20 win over the Colts causes Lawrence to miss time, C.J. Beathard would be the next man up to start at quarterback.

Tyrod Taylor QB | NYJ
Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Comes up short in spot start
Taylor completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 200 yards with no touchdowns or turnovers while adding 24 rushing yards on five attempts in Sunday's 14-9 loss to the Bills.
Taylor stepped in for injured starter Daniel Jones (neck), finishing with a rather poor fantasy line in the narrow loss. The veteran quarterback also made an uncharacteristic mental blunder with the ball on the Bills' goal line with seconds left in the first half, audibling to a Saquon Barkley rushing attempt that was stuffed for no gain. The Giants did not have any timeouts left, so the clock expired and the Giants came away with no points -- something which played heavily into the team's decision-making on their final drive of the fourth quarter, when they needed a touchdown to win and not a field goal. Jones' status for Week 7's matchup against Washington is still up in the air, and the 34-year-old Taylor might offer a little more fantasy upside in a more favorable matchup if he were to get the start.

Josh Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Josh Allen: Roughed up in gutsy win
Allen was examined for a potential head injury after taking a hit in the second quarter of Sunday's 14-9 win over the Giants. He was cleared to return following the brief exit and finished the game with 19 completions on 30 pass attempts for 169 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while notching two rushes for 11 yards.
Allen was fortunate to evade injury so that he could overcome a quiet first half and orchestrate two fourth-quarter touchdown drives. It is worth noting that the star quarterback was taken in for X-rays following the hard-fought win, but the medical staff examined only his shoulder before returning Allen to the Bills' locker room, ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg reports. While shoulder issues are concerning for quarterbacks, it sounds like this was more of a precautionary move after enduring a physical battle. Allen's strong play to close out Sunday night's win bodes well for his availability for next Sunday's tilt against New England.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Picks apart Tampa Bay secondary
Goff completed 30 of 44 passes for 353 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Buccaneers. He added three yards on two carries.
The Lions have been content to allow their defense and run game to earn victories early this season, but Goff was impressive on his way to a season-high 44 pass attempts. As has been the case, he showed the ability to connect with his pass catchers for big plays, as he completed six passes of more than 20 yards -- the longest of which was a 47-yard touchdown toss to Jameson Williams. Through six contests, Goff has recorded either 300 passing yards or three touchdowns on three occasions.
-
Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Struggles against Lions
Mayfield completed 19 of 37 passes for 206 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Lions.
Mayfield failed to throw a touchdown for the first time as a Buccaneer, and he suffered from an overall poor performance during which he averaged 5.6 yards per attempt. He still displayed some ability to make big plays, tallying three completions of over 20 yards -- two of which went to Trey Palmer. Mayfield has performed adequately as a game manager in relatively easy matchups, but he's now struggled against both Philadelphia and Detroit.

Bryce Young QB | CAR
Panthers' Bryce Young: Another inefficient showing
Young completed 23 of 38 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Dolphins.
Young got the Carolina offense on track early, leading touchdown drives on two of the team's first three possessions. On those two drives, he accounted for 74 yards and appeared to be showing signs of progress in his fifth career NFL game. Things stalled from there, however, as Young ended up averaging only 5.7 yards per attempt. Positively, he didn't turn the ball over for the first time in his rookie campaign and has now topped 200 passing yards in three consecutive contests.
