  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Avoids injury scare Sunday

Mahomes completed 24 of his 33 pass attempts for 272 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Bears. He added 28 rushing yards on three carries.

Mahomes had fantasy managers holding their collective breaths after he rolled his ankle under a defender on the Chiefs' final drive of the first half, as reported by

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Struggles continue in Week 3 loss

Wilson completed 18 of 36 passes for 157 yards while rushing once for one yard in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Patriots.

Wilson threw for only 29 yards in the first half as the Jets took a 10-3 deficit into the locker room. He came alive with 79 passing yards on a fourth-quarter touchdown drive capped by a one-yard Nick Bawden touchdown run, but Wilson failed to produce a first down on New York's next two possessions. He got one last chance as the Jets got the ball with 16 seconds left, and Wilson almost pulled off the miracle comeback, as his Hail Mary on the final play bounced off Randall Cobb's hand after a 29-yard pass to Garrett Wilson and spike. Wilson showed some flashes of potential with the Jets in desperation mode in the fourth quarter, but he was putrid before then. Despite Wilson's struggles, coach Robert Saleh said after the game that the 2021 second overall draft pick will remain the starting quarterback in Week 4 against the Chiefs, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Emergency QB for Sunday night

Rudolph (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Raiders.

For the third straight week, Rudolph will be the emergency quarterback. Rudolph's role as the No. 3 quarterback is seemingly solidified with Mitch Trubisky serving as the backup to Kenny Pickett.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Lights up Vikings

Herbert completed 40 of 47 passes for 405 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Vikings.

There has been no sign of the Chargers' run-heavy game plan from Week 1 of late, as Herbert topped 40 pass attempts for the second consecutive game. He also topped 400 passing yards for the first time in his career, highlighted by eight completions of at least 20 yards -- one more than he had on the season entering Sunday's contest. New offensive coordinator Kellen Moore promised more downfield passing this offseason, and it certainly appears that he's willing to put games into Herbert's hands.

  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Saints' Derek Carr: Injury likely isn't season-ending

Carr (shoulder) is believed to have avoided a severe injury following his early exit from Sunday's 18-17 loss at Green Bay, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. There's a chance Carr misses time with what is believed to be an AC sprain, per Rapoport, but it doesn't seem to be a season-ending concern.

After he was taken down by Packers pass rusher Rashan Gary in the third quarter, Carr eventually was ruled out with what was called a shoulder issue. Carr later underwent additional testing at a Green Bay-area hospital to check for internal injuries. Per Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, Carr was able to join his teammates on the flight back to New Orleans, but the Saints now will take a wait-and-see approach to determine if he'll be sidelined beyond Sunday. If Carr needs to sit out, Jameis Winston will handle quarterback duties for the team, with Taysom Hill also on hand to take the occasional snap.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Saints' Jameis Winston: Relieves injured Carr in loss

Winston completed 10 of 16 passes for 101 yards during Sunday's 18-17 loss to the Packers.

Winston took over under center after Derek Carr sustained a right shoulder injury on a sack in the third quarter. With their starting quarterback forced out for the remainder of the game, the Saints turned to Winston to protect their 17-0 lead with just over a quarter-and-a-half remaining. Winston didn't manage to pass his team's own 40-yard line on his first three drives of the second half; however, the 29-year-old completed four of six passes for 45 yards to set the Saints up for a game-winning field goal on their final offensive series before kicker Blake Grupe missed wide right on his 46-yard attempt. Winston started 10 games over his first three seasons with the Saints, and his experience in this offense should help keep the unit afloat if Carr, who underwent X-rays before being taken to a local area hospital for further evaluation, is forced to miss any time moving forward.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Accounts for two touchdowns

Goff completed 22 of 33 passes for 243 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Falcons. He also rushed for a three-yard touchdown.

Goff found rookie tight end Sam LaPorta on a 45-yard touchdown during the second quarter, marking his longest play of the campaign thus far. Although he was picked off during the second half, Goff responded by scoring on an unexpected read-option keeper on his next drive. The signal-caller only completed passes to four players, but Goff again connected with top wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown for over 100 yards. He'll now face a quick turnaround before Thursday night's game against a Packers secondary that was without No. 1 cornerback Jaire Alexander (back) in Week 3.

  • Mac Jones QB | SF

Patriots' Mac Jones: Modest numbers in low-scoring win

Jones completed 15 of 29 passes for 201 yards and one touchdown while rushing four times for 13 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Jets.

Jones found Pharaoh Brown behind the defense for a 58-yard touchdown to take a 10-0 lead in the second quarter. That was the only touchdown New England mustered, but it was enough to get the Patriots into the win column for the first time in 2023. After throwing for 316 yards with three touchdowns in the season opener, Jones has failed to throw for 250 yards or multiple touchdowns in either of the next two games, and reaching those thresholds won't be easy on the road against Dallas in Week 4.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Big game as rusher

Jackson completed 22 of 31 pass attempts for 202 yards and no touchdowns in Sunday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts. He added 14 rushes for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Jackson completed his pass attempts at a high rate, though he wasn't aggressive in pushing the ball down the field. Instead, his explosive plays came on the ground as he accounted for both of the Ravens' touchdowns with his legs, scampering into the end zone from eight and 10 yards away. It was expected that Baltimore's passing attack would be improved under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and while that has yet to occur, Jackson still has multiple touchdowns in two of his first three games this season.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Broncos' Russell Wilson: Over 300-yard mark in record loss

Wilson completed 23 of 38 passes for 306 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Broncos' 70-20 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Wilson authored what could arguably be the quietest 300-yard performance in history within the context of the game setting it transpired in. The veteran signal-caller was naturally overshadowed by numerous individual standout efforts on the opposite sideline, and by Miami's team-record 70 points overall. However, zooming in on Wilson's performance reveals a second straight encouraging body of work from the recently maligned multi-time Pro Bowler, who connected with seven different targets on the afternoon and tossed a 12-yard touchdown to Courtland Sutton in the first quarter. Wilson now has a 6:1 TD:INT through his first three games and back-to-back 300-yard efforts for the first time since Weeks 3 and 4 of the 2020 season, sending him into a Week 4 road matchup with the Bears with plenty of momentum.
