David Blough QB | DET
David Blough: Joins Detroit's taxi squad
Blough signed with the Lions' practice squad on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Blough was let go by the Cardinals on Tuesday after losing out on a roster spot to Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune. He'll now operate on the Lions' practice squad and prepare for a promotion should Jared Goff or backup Teddy Bridgewater miss time.

Josh Johnson QB | CIN
Ravens' Josh Johnson: Re-signs with Ravens
Johnson re-signed with the Ravens on Thursday, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
With Tyler Huntley's (hamstring) status for Week 1 uncertain, Johnson's addition to the active roster indicates he beat out Anthony Brown for the Ravens' No. 3 quarterback role. Still, the Ravens are unlikely to activate three QBs for their opening game versus the Texans, so Johnson's status for that contest will likely hinge on Huntley's availability.

Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Returns to practice
Levis (thigh) is practicing Thursday, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.
Levis has missed some time due to the injury during training camp, including the team's final preseason contest against the Patriots on Friday. However, the 2023 second-round selection appears to be healthy once again. which is good news for the Kentucky product, although it's still unclear whether he or Malik Willis has earned the No. 2 quarterback role behind incumbent starter Ryan Tannehill.

Nathan Peterman QB | ATL
Bears' Nathan Peterman: Re-signs with Bears
Peterman signed a contract with the Bears on Thursday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Peterman did not make it through the Bears' initial final roster cuts but has rejoined the team after clearing waivers. He served as the team's primary backup in 2022, but he was competing with Tyson Bagent for that role during training camp. It looked like he lost the job when he got cut, but Chicago is now rolling with three quarterbacks on its roster. More clarity should be gained on the situation when the team releases its first depth chart next week.

Matt Corral QB | MIN
Patriots' Matt Corral: Claimed by New England
The Patriots have claimed Corral off waivers from the Panthers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Corral, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, missed his entire rookie campaign after suffering a left foot injury during the preseason, but after being let go by Carolina, he'll now have an opportunity to work behind New England starter Mac Jones. Also in the team's signal-caller mix is 2022 fourth-rounder Bailey Zappe, who was added to the Patriots' practice squad Wednesday.

Shane Buechele QB | BUF
Shane Buechele: Joins Buffalo's practice squad
Buechele was added to the Bills' practice squad Wednesday.
Buechele spent his first two seasons on the Chiefs' practice squad after going undrafted in 2021. He never actually suited up for a game during his stint in KC and will now look for a fresh start in Buffalo. He finished his five-year collegiate career with 11,660 yards and 87 touchdowns to go along with 478 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground for both Texas and SMU.

Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Bills' Kyle Allen: Currently No. 2 behind Josh Allen
Allen is expected to open the season as Josh Allen's top backup after Matt Barkley (elbow) was placed on injured reserve, Zach Dimmitt of SI.com reports.
The Bills will likely bring one more quarterback into the fold, but the organization may be looking for a signal-caller to add to the practice squad rather than the 53-man roster. Barring the addition of a more experienced option, Allen looks like the clear-cut backup to Josh Allen heading into the season, a distinction that could give the former some fantasy appeal in the event the latter misses time at any point. The Bills offense once again profiles as one of the NFL's top units and features plenty of talent at the skill spots.

Will Grier QB | CAR
Will Grier: Joins Bengals practice squad
Grier agreed to sign with the Bengals' practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Grier's eventual release from Dallas was made clear after the Cowboys acquired Trey Lance via trade, but the team allowed him to have an audition in their final preseason game. The quarterback shined by completing 29 of 35 passes for 305 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. His addition to Cincy's practice squad is interesting, as Joe Burrow's (calf) status for Week 1 is uncertain at this time. Jake Browning is the only other quarterback on the Bengals active roster.

Tyler Huntley QB | BAL
Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Works out Wednesday
Huntley (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday but worked out on an adjacent field, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Huntley has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the preseason opener but isn't expected to begin the regular season on injured reserve. Although he didn't participate in the Ravens' practice session Wednesday, he was still able to do more work than he had been doing recently. The 25-year-old has a week and a half to recover before the Ravens' regular-season opener against Houston on Sept. 10.

Matt Corral QB | MIN
Matt Corral: Time up in Carolina
Corral was waived by the Panthers on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The 2022 third-round pick missed his entire rookie season while recovering from Lisfranc surgery, and by the time Corral recovered, the Panthers had already made a commitment to another young quarterback in 2023 first overall pick Bryce Young. It's possible that another team will take a chance on a healthy Corral's potential and scoop him up, but it's more likely that the former Ole Miss quarterback will have to settle for a practice-squad spot somewhere after clearing waivers.
