Justin Fields QB | KC
Bears' Justin Fields: Strong fantasy performance
Fields completed 17 of 23 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns while adding 60 yards and another touchdown on the ground In the Bears' 49-29 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.
Facing one of the best defenses in the league, Fields was frequently on the move as both a runner and passer, which allowed him to keep the Bears competitive through part of the third quarter. Although he's yet to throw for more than 208 yards this season, he's posted at least 47 rushing yards in five straight games. In addition, he's accounted for multiple touchdowns in two straight games, the first time this season he's accomplished that feat. He's quickly moving toward becoming a player who can be started in fantasy lineups in most leagues.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Falcons' Marcus Mariota: Throws three touchdowns in win
Mariota completed 20 of 28 passes for 253 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions during Sunday's 37-34 win over the Panthers. He also rushed six times for 43 yards.
Mariota's second pass of the game was intercepted, but he bounced back and submitted an efficient performance through the air en route to a season-high 253 passing yards. The quarterback's dual-threat ability was also on display again as he rushed for at least 30 rushing yards for a fourth straight game, totaling 185 rushing yards during that stretch. Mariota's first touchdown was a well-designed play that left Kyle Pitts wide open for a two-yard score, but his second and third scores were nice throws that turned into big plays with great efforts from Tyler Allgeier and Damiere Byrd. Sunday's performance marked the veteran's best performance of the season, and he'll look to build off his success against the Chargers in Week 9.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Efficient with 27 passes
Prescott completed 21 of 27 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 49-29 win over the Bears. He added five rushes for 34 yards and an additional score.
Prescott opened the scoring with a seven-yard touchdown on the Cowboys' first offensive possession, and he also added a 25-yard scamper in the second quarter. Though Chicago didn't keep the game close enough to push Dallas into a pass-heavy approach, Prescott made strong use of his limited pass attempts by averaging 9.3 yards per attempt and tallying touchdowns of 21 and one yards. In two games since returning from a thumb injury, Prescott has combined to record 457 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Three total TDs in win
Cousins completed 24 of 36 passes for 232 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Vikings' 34-26 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also rushed four times for 22 yards and another score and lost a fumble.
Cousins had one of his trademark efficient efforts, averaging a modest 6.4 yards per attempt against a Cardinals defense that had done a good job of limiting the production of top receivers this season. The veteran was under a fair amount of duress and took three sacks overall, one of which resulted in a fumble at his own 24-yard line that helped lead to an Arizona field goal. However, he made up for it with touchdown passes of one and five yards to Johnny Mundt and K.J. Osborn, respectively, the latter of which came just before the halfway point of the fourth quarter and proved to be the difference in the game. Cousins also had a 17-yard touchdown scamper to open the scoring on the afternoon, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 9 road matchup against his old Commanders team.

Jalen Hurts QB | PHI
Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Four touchdowns in easy win
Hurts completed 19 of 28 passes for 285 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 35-13 win over the Steelers. He added two rushes for 10 yards.
Hurts was exceptionally efficient and showed rapport with A.J. Brown, connecting with his star receiver for three touchdowns of 39, 27 and 29 yards. He capped off his big performance with a 34-yard score to Zach Pascal before being pulled early in the fourth quarter. Hurts tallied multiple passing scores for the third time this season -- he has multiple rushing touchdowns in an additional two matchups -- and continues to excel even with limited passing volume.

Mac Jones QB | SF
Patriots' Mac Jones: Controversial flag erases pick-six
Jones completed 24 of 35 passes for 194 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 22-17 win over the Jets. He added 19 yards on seven rushing attempts.
Jones benefited from a quintessential Jets-Patriots moment late in the first half, as a controversial roughing the passer penalty erased a would-be pick-six that would have put the Jets up 17-3. New England instead got its second field goal on that drive to take a 10-6 deficit into the locker room. On the preceding possession, a questionable Jets unnecessary roughness penalty helped New England drive down to New York's 21-yard line, but Jones threw incomplete on 4th-and-1. Jones got a far better result on 4th-and-1 early in the third, finding Jakobi Meyers for a five-yard touchdown to take the lead. New England's defense led the way from there as the Patriots improved to 4-4. Jones was more lucky than good in this one, but he likely did enough to keep backup Bailey Zappe on the bench in Week 9 against the Colts.

P.J. Walker QB | SEA
Panthers' PJ Walker: Late 62-yard TD wasted
Walker completed 19 of 36 passes for 317 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to Atlanta. He added a 20-yard scramble on his only rushing attempt.
Walker was dreadful in the first half, completing only six of 15 passes for 67 yards and throwing a pick-six in the final minute before halftime. He heated up in the second half and appeared to produce the game-winning play by finding DJ Moore for a 62-yard Hail Mary touchdown with 12 seconds left. Carolina subsequently missed the game-winning PAT attempt and a game-winning field-goal try in overtime, wasting Walker's bounce-back effort before Atlanta converted the game-winning kick. Despite coming up short in this one, Walker likely did enough to maintain the starting job in Week 9 against the Bengals.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Comes up short despite big numbers
Murray completed 31 of 44 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Cardinals' 34-26 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed six times for 36 yards and fumbled once but recovered.
The Cardinals played from behind throughout the contest, so Murray was able to put together a solid performance via sheer volume and some solid runs after catch from his receivers. He unsurprisingly focused the most on DeAndre Hopkins, whom he connected with on 12 of 13 targets for 159 yards and a six-yard, second-quarter touchdown. Murray's other scoring tosses went to Zach Ertz (eight yards) and Rondale Moore (38 yards), giving the star signal-caller his first three-touchdown tally through the air this season. Murray's 300-yard effort was his first since Week 3. and despite the fact he couldn't put Arizona in position to tie the game when he was sacked on back-to-back plays on the Cardinals' final possession, he'll have some momentum going into a Week 9 NFC West clash against the Seahawks.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Eclipses 300-yard mark in loss
Goff completed 27 of 37 passes for 321 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Lions' 31-27 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed once for three yards.
Goff and the Lions offense opened the game hot with a pair of first-quarter scoring drives, the second which the veteran quarterback capped with a seven-yard pass to D'Andre Swift. That would end up being Goff's only touchdown toss of the day, but his yardage total was his second highest of the campaign. Goff also couldn't successfully complete a deep pass to Josh Reynolds on 4th-and-1 from the Dolphins' 35-yard line with 2:59 remaining, and he never got another opportunity with the ball due to his defense failing to force a punt from Miami. Goff will look to build on his strong production in a Week 9 home showdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Zach Wilson QB | NO
Jets' Zach Wilson: INTs overshadow 355-yard outing
Wilson completed 20 of 41 passes for 355 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots. He added two rushing yards on one attempt.
Wilson set up a first-quarter field goal with a 54-yard deep ball to Garrett Wilson, then gave New York a 10-3 lead in the second with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Conklin. He threw a costly interception with New York driving in the final minute of the first half, as that play coupled with a Jets pick-six erased by a shoddy penalty call allowed New England to cut New York's lead to 10-6 heading into halftime. Wilson was intercepted two more times in the second half as the Patriots began to pull away from the demoralized Jets, and his nine-yard touchdown pass to Conklin late in the fourth was too little too late. It was encouraging to see Wilson throw for a season-high 355 yards after totaling 231 yards over the previous two games, but he'll need to cut down on the turnovers to give his team a chance in Week 9 against the AFC East-leading Bills.
