Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: No practice Wednesday
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Jones (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. "He's just a little bit sore, and that's to be expected," LaFleur added. "Hopefully, we can ramp him up and get more snaps out there."
In his second appearance since straining his left hamstring Week 1, Jones was contained to 23 offensive snaps this past Sunday in Denver and handled 11 touches for 57 yards from scrimmage. Meanwhile, fellow running back AJ Dillon logged 36 plays and had 17 touches for 95 total yards. Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Jones stretched with teammates before heading indoors Wednesday, so his absence isn't much of a surprise. Jones will have two more chances to mix into drills this week ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup with the Vikings.

Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: No practice Wednesday
Mitchell (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Mitchell received his first regular-season snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Lions, but he injured his hamstring along the way and now is considered week-to-week. He's unlikely to practice this week or play in Sunday's game at Arizona.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Panthers' Miles Sanders: Logs full practice Wednesday
Sanders (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Sanders wasn't able to practice during Week 6 prep due to a shoulder injury and sat out the Panthers' Oct. 15 loss to Miami, but with the benefit of a Week 7 bye, he was able to handle every on-field rep in the first session of Week 8. With his health seemingly back to normal, he should continue to split work with Chuba Hubbard out of Carolina's backfield, which amounted to 76 touches for 271 yards from scrimmage and one rushing score for Sanders in the first five games of the campaign.

Roschon Johnson RB | CHI
Bears' Roschon Johnson: Full practice, still in protocol
Johnson (concussion) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
Johnson's activity Wednesday marks his first practice participation of any sort since he suffered a concussion Oct. 5 at Washington. Head coach Matt Eberflus told Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com earlier Wednesday that Johnson has "one more hurdle" to pass before he'll clear the five-step concussion protocol, likely indicating that the running back needs to meet with an independent neurologist. Once that step is behind him, Johnson should be good to rejoin the Bears backfield, but considering D'Onta Foreman has put together 187 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns over the last two games with Khalil Herbert (ankle) on injured reserve, it's unclear what kind of workload will be available to Johnson.

Jerome Ford RB | WAS
Browns' Jerome Ford: Expected to avoid IR
Ford (ankle) is responding well to treatment and may miss only a week or two of game action, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
The right high-ankle sprain Ford suffered in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Colts isn't considered severe, so Cleveland is hopeful he'll avoid a stint on injured reserve, which would keep him out for a minimum of four games. Ford is still in line to miss at least the Browns' Week 8 game in Seattle, leaving Kareem Hunt (thigh) and Pierre Strong as the likely leaders of Cleveland's backfield.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Not spotted at start of practice
Mostert wasn't on the field for the media-access portion of practice Wednesday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
He may be dealing with a minor injury, though no prior reports surfaced after Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Eagles that Mostert got hurt during the contest. Miami's healthy backfield options behind Mostert are Salvon Ahmed and Jeff Wilson, a duo that combined for only four touches Sunday.
-
Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Not at practice
Moss isn't practicing Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Moss and Jonathan Taylor worked in a near-even split for the second straight week in Sunday's 39-38 loss to the Browns. The distribution of the snaps and touches between the two backs may look different this Sunday against New Orleans, however, with Taylor coming off his best game of the season (120 total yards) and Moss perhaps nursing an injury. The Colts will release their first official Week 8 injury report later Wednesday, when an explanation for Moss's absence will be provided.
-
Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Chase Edmonds: Activated to roster
The Buccaneers activated Edmonds (knee) from injured reserve Wednesday.
Edmonds was designated for return at the beginning of the week and listed as a full practice participant both Monday and Tuesday. He appears ready to play Thursday at Buffalo, though it isn't quite clear what his role will be given that starter Rachaad White has been better on passing downs than running downs and thus seems to have strengths that overlap with Edmonds'. Ke'Shawn Vaughn has been Tampa Bay's No. 2 back of late, mostly subbing in for White on early downs and taking a handful of carries per game.
-
Nate McCrary RB | GB
Nate McCrary: Joins Browns' practice squad
Cleveland signed McCrary to its practice squad Wednesday.
As injuries pile up in the Browns' running backs room, they saw fit to bring McCrary aboard to provide some depth at the position. If starter Jerome Ford can't go, McCrary could be elevated as soon as Sunday at Seattle.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Could sit out practice Wednesday
Jones (hamstring) stretched with his teammates Wednesday but then left the field before practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Jones has missed three of Green Bay's six games and took a backseat to AJ Dillon in two others, including a 19-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday. The Packers haven't relayed that Jones suffered a setback Sunday in his recovery from a hamstring injury, but fantasy managers will need to consider the possibility of his workloads being restricted even if he keeps suiting up. Week 8 brings a matchup with the Vikings, fresh off an upset win Monday over San Francisco.
