Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that he doesn't believe Herbert (hip) is dealing with a season-ending injury, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The Bears placed Herbert on injured reserve Tuesday after the running back was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Lions after he suffered the injury in question on his final kickoff return of the day. The move to IR makes Herbert ineligible to play until Week 16, but Eberflus is apparently hopeful that the running back can make it back to action at some point during the final three weeks of the season. While Herbert is out of commission, top back David Montgomery stands to see increased opportunities, and Trestan Ebner should step up as his top backup starting with Sunday's game at Atlanta.

Bolden logged all 17 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Colts.

For only the second time in his eight appearances on the season, Bolden didn't pick up a snap on offense, as the Raiders had all of Josh Jacobs, Ameer Abdullah, Zamir White and Jakob Johnson work out of the backfield ahead of him. Bolden's status as a core special teams contributor should be enough to keep him active on game days moving forward, but he doesn't look like he'll have a role as a change-of-pace back unless one of Jacobs or Abdullah is sidelined.

Scott rushed once for five yards in Monday's Week 10 loss to Washington.

The Eagles were limited to just 50 offensive snaps as the Commanders dominated time of possession. Scott was on the field for just five of those snaps and made a minimal impression.

Gainwell finished with one carry for seven yards and one catch for five yards in Monday's loss to the Commanders.

After tying his season high with seven touches and a score in Week 9, Gainwell tied his season low with just two touches in Week 10. He continues to have minimal fantasy relevance and doesn't even produce all that many points when he happens to find the end zone, as his workload is simply too small.

Jones (shin) was a limited participant at Tuesday's walk-through practice.

After exiting early in the Packers' Week 9 loss to the Giants with the shin injury, Jones approached this past Sunday's game against the Cowboys without a designation even though he was limited in practices Wednesday through Friday. He proceeded to carry the ball a season-high 24 times in the Packers' 31-28 overtime win over Dallas, finishing with 138 yards and a touchdown. With a quick turnaround for Green Bay's Week 11 matchup with the Titans on Thursday, the Packers could aim to manage Jones' workload to some degree, but the shin injury doesn't look to be anything that will prevent him from suiting up.

Patterson reverted back to the Commanders' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Patterson made his first NFL appearance in 2022 in Week 10 against the Eagles, but he ultimately played just four special-teams snaps in the contest. The 22-year-old will now transition back to Washington's practice squad as an emergency running back depth option, though he could receive another promotion to the team's 53-man roster if either J.D. McKissic (neck) or Jonathan Williams (knee) are unable to gain medical clearance in time for Sunday's game in Houston.

The Saints cut Gore from their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

The Saints signed Gore to their practice squad last Wednesday, but he's since been let go as a result of Tuesday's transaction. The 27-year-old was waived by the Chiefs with an injury settlement in late August after injuring his thumb in a preseason game, but he'll now search elsewhere to continue his playing career.

Ebner will step into the No. 2 running back role after the Bears placed Khalil Herbert (hip) on injured reserve Tuesday, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

When David Montgomery was sidelined for two games earlier in the season, Ebner operated behind Hebert and rushed 13 times for 43 yards while securing two of three targets for eight yards across Weeks 3 and 4. The rookie sixth-round pick could reclaim a similar workload now that Herbert is due to miss at least the Bears' next four games. Montgomery has recorded more than 15 rushing attempts just once this season, so there's certainly room for Ebner to carve out a useful role for fantasy purposes.

Taylor was signed to the Packers' active roster from their practice squad Tuesday.

Taylor's addition to the active roster comes as the team waived Kylin Hill on Tuesday. The 24-year-old has already appeared in seven games for the Packers this season, but has only seen one snap on offense. With Aaron Jones (shin) questionable for Thursday's game with the Titans, Taylor could be in for a considerable workload, if Jones were to sit.

Despite playing second fiddle to David Montgomery this season, Herbert has been one of the NFL's most productive backup running backs, as he compiled 643 yards and four touchdowns on 108 carries to go with six receptions for 62 yards and another score through his first 10 games. With Herbert sidelined until at least Week 16, Montgomery should benefit from a slight bump in his projected workload, while third-stringer Trestan Ebner steps into the top backup role as a change-of-pace option behind Montgomery.
