  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Back in limited capacity

Hubbard (calf) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday.

This marks Hubbard's first on-field work since Week 4 prep, as he sat out Weeks 5 and 6 due to a calf injury. Coach Dave Canales told Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer on Wednesday that Hubbard looked "great," but he likely will need to string together multiple practices in a row in order to put himself in a position to play Sunday at the Jets. Assuming Hubbard is back in action this weekend, the Panthers are expected to keep both him and Rico Dowdle, who has sprung for 473 yards from scrimmage and two total TDs on 60 touches the last two games, involved in the offense, though who would have the upper hand between them remains to be seen, per Dan Graziano of ESPN.com.

  • Blake Corum RB | LAR

Rams' Blake Corum: Won't practice Wednesday

Rams coach Sean McVay said Corum (ankle) will not practice Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.

Corum is considered day-to-day due to an ankle injury he sustained during Los Angeles' win over Baltimore in Week 6. He was able to retake the field versus the Ravens after being evaluated, but Corum's status for Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars nonetheless looks uncertain and figures to be reliant on the extent of his activity at practice Thursday and Friday. If Corum misses any time, rookie fourth-rounder Jarquez Hunter will likely get a chance to handle added reserve opportunities behind Kyren Williams.

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Seen at practice Wednesday

Hubbard (calf) was present for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Hubbard initially came down with a calf injury during Week 4 prep but was able to suit up Sunday, Sept. 28 against the Patriots and log a 51 percent snap share en route to 13 touches for 69 yards from scrimmage. He then didn't practice at all the past two weeks due to the same health concern and was inactive Weeks 5 and 6, allowing fellow RB Rico Dowdle to rip off back-to-back monster performances on the ground. Hubbard taking part in drills Wednesday will be a step in the right direction, but it's unclear if he'd take on the largest share of Carolina's backfield reps whenever he's cleared for game action considering how well Dowdle has performed.

  • Packers' MarShawn Lloyd: Getting closer to return

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Lloyd (hamstring), who remains on IR, is getting closer to a return to practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.comg reports.

Lloyd began the regular season on IR and has already missed more than the requisite minimum four contests, so he's eligible to be designated for a return to practice at any point, once Green Bay deems in healthy enough. Once that transaction is submitted, Lloyd will have a 21-day window wherein he can be evaluated at practice without counting against the active roster. The second-year pro will be positioned for a reserve role behind lead back Josh Jacobs once back in action, but Lloyd's early-season absence has allowed both Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks to further establish themselves as reserve backfield options.

  • Packers' Chris Brooks: Handles one carry in Week 6

Brooks rushed once for one yard in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.

Brooks continued to operate as the No. 3 running back behind Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson, playing just five of the Packers' 61 offensive snaps Sunday. The 25-year-old can be ignored for fantasy purposes going forward based on his extremely limited usage. Next up for the Packers is a road game against the Cardinals in Week 7.

  • Emanuel Wilson RB | SEA

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Four touches in win

Wilson rushed three times for 11 yards and caught his lone target for minus-four yards in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.

Wilson continued to operate as the primary backup to Josh Jacobs in Week 6. The 26-year-old running back played just 11 of the Packers' 61 offensive snaps Sunday, while Jacobs handled 48 snaps. Barring an injury to Jacobs, Wilson remains far off the fantasy radar as anything more than an insurance policy. The Fort Valley State University product will have his next chance to spell Jacobs out of the backfield in Week 7 when the Packers visit the Cardinals.

  • Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: No touches in Week 6

Mitchell failed to log a rushing attempt or target while playing just two of the Ravens' 78 offensive snaps in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He returned one kickoff for 17 yards over six snaps on special teams.

After touching the ball on all four of the snaps he played in a Week 5 loss to the Texans, Mitchell didn't see any usage Sunday and ranked fourth in snaps among Ravens running backs, trailing Derrick Henry (38), Justice Hill (35) and Rasheen Ali (three). The 23-year-old speedster doesn't appear to be a priority in Baltimore's offensive attack at the moment, despite the playmaking ability he can offer as a change-of-pace back.

  • Avery Williams RB | NYJ

Avery Williams: Let go from Jets' practice squad

The Jets cut Williams from the practice squad Tuesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports.

The move makes room on the Jets' practice squad for fellow wide receiver Trenton Irwin. Williams joined the Jets' practice squad Oct. 3 and was elevated for Week 5 loss to the Cowboys, when he returned five kickoffs for 133 yards and four punts for 41 yards across 12 snaps on special teams. Williams should garner interest from teams looking for another return option on special teams.

  • Michael Wiley: Gets opportunity with Tampa Bay

The Buccaneers signed Wiley to the practice squad Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Wiley was unable to make the Chiefs' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but the 24-year-old running back will get an opportunity on the Bucs' practice squad. He has not played in a single regular-season game since signing with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent in April of 2024.

  • Chiefs' Brashard Smith: Nabs three passes

Smith didn't record a carry but reeled in three of his four targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 30-17 victory versus Detroit.

Smith claimed just six total offensive snaps in this contest and has totaled double-digit offensive snaps just once all season. He remains a reliable weapon as a receiver out of the backfield, handling three catches in each of the last three tilts, but he failed to register a carry Sunday for the first time since the season opener versus the Chargers. Smith converted from wide receiver to running back late in his career at SMU, so it shouldn't be shocking that he excels in the receiving department. The rookie primarily remains a speculative hold in dynasty formats at this juncture.
