  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Remains sidelined at practice

Edmonds (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Yet again, Edmonds was listed as a DNP on the team's injury report, but in the part of Thursday's session open to the media, Edmonds was spotted working on the side, per Urban. Until he takes part in practice, Edmonds won't be a candidate to return to action, leaving him in danger of missing his third consecutive game Sunday in San Francisco. In that reality, Kenyan Drake and David Johnson will share the team's Week 11 backfield duties.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: DNP on Thursday

    Montgomery (ankle) didn't practice Thursday.

Montgomery made a surprise appearance on the Bears' first Week 11 injury report as a limited participant. The reason become clear Thursday, when coach Matt Nagy relayed Montgomery "lightly" rolled his ankle at Wednesday's session, per Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune. As a result, Montgomery's lack of reps Thursday is concerning, giving him just one more chance to get in some work before the weekend. If he's limited or even absent Sunday against the Rams in L.A., Tarik Cohen and Ryan Nall are next up for work out of the Bears' backfield.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Another limited practice

Jacobs (shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

We expect Jacobs to be a go Sunday against the Bengals, but he'll probably have to log a full practice Friday to approach the contest minus a Week 11 injury designation.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: Not on hand for practice

Breida (ankle) wasn't on the field for Thursday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Breida would likely be sidelined for 1-to-2 weeks after aggravating a low-ankle sprain in Monday's loss to the Seahawks, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he's been withheld from both of the 49ers' first two practices of Week 11. With Breida trending toward an inactive status this weekend versus Arizona, Tevin Coleman -- who was also absent from Thursday's practice due to a non-injury-related matter -- is expected to take on a more pronounced role in the San Francisco backfield.

  • Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE

Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Not practicing Thursday

Wilkins (ankle) was not spotted at the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Wilkins appears on track for a "DNP" designation on Thursday's practice report, putting his chances of suiting up versus the Jaguars on Sunday in legitimate jeopardy. He hasn't practiced in any capacity since suffering an ankle injury Week 10 versus the Dolphins. Jonathan Williams would slot in as Indianapolis' No. 3 running back if Wilkins were forced to miss any time.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Gets in full practice

McCaffrey (foot) practiced fully Thursday, Brendan Marks of The Charlotte Observer reports.

McCaffrey has had limitations on his practice reps for three consecutive weeks at this point, but they were lifted on each occasion. As a result, his foot issue won't impact his availability for the Panthers' Week 11 divisional matchup with the Falcons, who have conceded 124.9 yards from scrimmage per game and nine touchdowns to running backs in nine contests this season.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Week 11 status in question

Coach Matt Nagy said that Montgomery "lightly" rolled an ankle during Wednesday's practice, leaving the running back's availability uncertain for this weekend's game against the Rams, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Nagy's comments provide an explanation for why Montgomery was surprisingly listed as a limited participant Wednesday in the Bears' first practice of the week. It's uncertain whether the rookie will be able to resume practicing Thursday and/or Friday, but his ability to bounce back from the ankle sprain over the next couple of days will likely have significant sway on his status for the weekend. If Montgomery -- who has played at least 60 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the last three weeks while garnering 17-plus touches on every occasion -- is limited or sidelined against the Rams, Tarik Cohen and Ryan Nall would be in store for heightened roles in the team's backfield.

  • 49ers' Raheem Mostert: Still nursing knee injury

Mostert (knee) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

Mostert has been playing through the knee injury for about a month, so it's no real surprise to see him on the injury report again this week. The 27-year-old's ability to practice to start the week puts him on track to once again play through the injury Sunday against the Cardinals.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Held out Wednesday

Edmonds (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Edmonds has made negligible progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, missing every practice and two games since picking up the issue Week 8. With Kenyan Drake and David Johnson in their backfield, the Cardinals don't need to rush Edmonds through his rehab. Plus, the team has a bye after Sunday's game at Arizona, so it wouldn't surprise if Edmonds misses a third consecutive contest this weekend.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: No practice Wednesday

Breida (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Breida is expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks as a result of a low-ankle sprain, so his listing on Wednesday's injury report isn't a surprise. If he indeed takes a seat Sunday versus the Cardinals, the 49ers backfield will be down to Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson.
