While Skattebo was deployed as the clear lead back -- he logged 57 offensive snaps to Singletary's 19 -- the latter finished with season-high marks in both touches and yards. Singletary remains an unappealing fantasy asset in most formats, but he figures to continue seeing a slight uptick in usage for as long as Tracy is unable to suit up.

McNichols rushed two times for three yards and caught one of two targets for no yards in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Falcons.

The veteran back played fewer offensive snaps (17) than Chris Rodriguez (20) and matched Jacory Croskey-Merritt (17) in Sunday's loss. McNichols also received fewer touches than both Rodriguez (seven) and Croskey-Merritt (nine), suggesting he's firmly behind them in the Commanders' backfield rotation. He's likely to remain a depth option, working primarily on passing downs, in Washington's Week 5 matchup against the Chargers.

Allen caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the 49ers.

The rookie running back from Syracuse now hasn't received a carry in consecutive weeks, despite playing 32 offensive snaps during that span. Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that Mixon (foot) is not ready to return to the field at this time, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Mixon is on the reserve/non-football injury list and is eligible to begin practicing this week, but Ryans suggested that's not going to happen. Sources indicate it will be much longer before Mixon returns to the field and believe there's a chance the running back won't play this season. Woody Marks had a breakout performance against the Titans in Week 4 and appears poised to take more control of the backfield alongside Nick Chubb moving forward.

Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that he's excited to see how much more work Marks can handle going forward following his breakout performance in the Texans' win over the Titans on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

After touching the ball a combined 14 times across the Texans' first three games of the season, Marks set season highs in offensive snap share (56 percent), touches (21) and total yards (119) against Tennessee. He also scored a pair of touchdowns in the second half to help salt the game away. Additionally, Marks held up well in pass protection. Marks is shaping up as the leader of the Houston backfield moving forward and should be a priority pickup in fantasy leagues where he's available. Nick Chubb is averaging 4.0 yards per carry on his 47 rushing attempts this season and has done nothing to lose his job, but Marks is noticeably more explosive with the ball in his hands at this stage of his career.

Davis rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 31-19 win over the Saints.

The 2024 fourth-round pick from Kentucky has logged just nine offensive snaps and received one touch over the Bills' last two games, suggesting he's now playing behind both James Cook and Ty Johnson. Davis has rushed 11 times for 29 yards through four games this season, and he'll likely play another reserve role in Buffalo's backfield in the Week 5 matchup against the Patriots.

Dowdle rushed nine times for 32 yards and caught his only target for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 42-13 loss to the Patriots.

The first-year Panther has now received double-digit touches in each of his last two games. Although Sunday's loss was a blowout, seven of Dowdle's 10 touches came in the first half while the game was still competitive, suggesting he's carved out a valuable role in Carolina's offense. However, he still worked behind Chuba Hubbard, who tallied 69 yards on 13 touches over 34 offensive snaps. Dowdle was also inefficient with the ball in his hands Sunday, averaging just 3.0 yards per touch. He's expected to continue serving as the Panthers' No. 2 running back ahead of a Week 5 matchup against the Dolphins.

Etienne rushed seven times for 33 yards during Sunday's 42-13 loss to the Patriots.

With the Patriots holding a 36-point lead early in the fourth quarter, Etienne saw increased offensive work as Carolina benched its starters. The 2025 fourth-round pick played a career-high 11 offensive snaps and rushed for 33 yards, highlighted by a 22-yard carry. However, he was still out-touched by Chuba Hubbard (13 touches) and Rico Dowdle (10 touches), indicating that he remains firmly behind them in the Panthers' backfield. Etienne is likely to remain a depth option while continuing to operate as the team's top return man heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Dolphins.

Sampson had one carry for minus-2 yards and did not secure his lone target in Sundays 34-10 loss to Detroit in Week 4.

The Browns' backfield is securely in the hands of Quinshon Judkins, who has steadily increased his dominance since being activated in Week 2, while Jerome Ford has a tenuous hold on the No. 2 spot. Sampson has a combined 14 snaps and one target over the last two games.

Ford was on the field for a season-low 18 snaps, as Cleveland's backfield is now topped by Quinshon Judkins, who had 21 of the 23 carries allotted to running backs. Ford still contributes as a third-down back and has been targeted multiple times in three consecutive contests, and he appears to still be slightly ahead of Dylan Sampson in the pecking order for touches.
