  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Bears' D'Andre Swift: Slated to play Sunday

Swift (quadriceps) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Swift handled 35 combined touches through the first two games of the season and then was limited in each practice of Week 3 prep due to the quad injury. Now that he's in line to suit up Sunday, he'll take on his typical role as the Bears' No. 1 back, assuming he's confirmed to be active about 90 minutes before a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Jakob Johnson RB | HOU

Texans' Jakob Johnson: Signed to active roster

The Texans signed Johnson to the active roster from their practice squad Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Johnson had been elevated for the first two games of the season and will join the team's active roster. The 30-year-old has seen playing time on both offense and special teams across the team's first two games. While he hasn't recorded any offensive stats, he did manage to block a punt during last week's loss versus Tampa Bay.

  • Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Could see uptick in snaps

Coach Pete Carroll expects Jeanty's workload to increase in the coming weeks, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports.

In the Raiders' 20-13 season-opening win over the Patriots, Jeanty logged 54 of a possible 63 snaps on offense, with 19 carries for 38 yards and a TD while adding two catches for two yards. Then, in this past Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft was on the field for 39 of 70 snaps on offense en route to carrying 11 times for 43 yards and catching three of his four targets for one yard. While game flow impacted Jeanty's usage in Week 2 (per offensive coordinator Chip Kelly) and inconsistent run blocking has been an issue early on, McFadden relays that Carroll wants Jeanty to play eight to nine more snaps per game, with the idea of getting the promising running back around 20 carries in the coming weeks. Such an outcome would no doubt please those who roster Jeanty, with his workload in Week 3 -- both in terms of snaps and touches -- of particular interest, based on his head coach's comments. In any case, backups Zamir White, Dylan Laube and Raheem Mostert aren't threats to Jeanty's status as Las Vegas' clear-cut top backfield option.

  • Damien Martinez: Released from practice squad

Martinez was released from the Seahawks' practice squad Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

The Seahawks waived Martinez at the end of the preseason, and he'd been on the practice squad since. He's likely to find an opportunity elsewhere around the league, or he could be re-signed by Seattle if the team shuffles its practice squad roster.

  • George Holani RB | SEA

Seahawks' George Holani: Role could increase

Holani will serve as Kenneth Walker's backup if Zach Charbonnet (foot) is unable to play Sunday against New Orleans, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Charbonnet enters the weekend with a doubtful tag after failing to practice in any capacity during the week. The primary fantasy impact if he's unable to play Sunday against the Saints will be a big workload for Walker, but Holani could see his first offensive snaps and potentially carries of the season.

  • Rasheen Ali RB | BAL

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Logs full session

Ali (concussion) logged a full practice session Friday.

Ali suffered a concussion in Sunday's win over the Browns and was a limited participant Thursday. While his full practice Friday is a positive sign, he'll need to clear the league's concussion protocol before being cleared for Monday's matchup against the Lions.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Set for leading role in Week 3

Walker is in line to be the Seahawks' unquestioned top running back Sunday against the Saints due to Zach Charbonnet (foot) being listed as doubtful for that contest, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Charbonnet wasn't able to practice at all during Week 3 prep due to a foot injury, and the aforementioned listing doesn't give him much leeway to be available Sunday. He actually received the greater share of the offensive snaps between the two in Seattle's first two games, but both players sit at 27 touches on the season. Walker has been far more effective with them, accounting for 142 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD to Charbonnet's 57 yards and one score on the ground. Assuming Charbonnet is deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, Walker would draw the start, while George Holani (no offensive snaps in 2025) and potentially practice-squad member Jacardia Wright (no NFL snaps to speak of) would be on hand for any RB reps that linger.

  • Kalel Mullings RB | TEN

Titans' Kalel Mullings: Could return Sunday

Mullings (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Mullings was inactive in Week 2 after suffering an ankle injury in his regular-season debut. He logged a trio of limited practices leading up to Tennessee's Week 3 matchup, suggesting he has a reasonable chance to play. If he is able to suit up, Mullings will likely see most of his snaps on special teams.

  • Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Could see more snaps this week

Judkins could see an uptick in snaps during Sunday's game against the Packers, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

In his season debut in a 41-17 loss to the Ravens in Week 2, Judkins was in Cleveland's starting lineup en route to recording 20 snaps and carrying 10 times for 61 yards and catching all three of his targets for 10 yards. The 2025 second-round pick was out-snapped in the contest by Jerome Ford (35 snaps, six carries and five catches), while fellow rookie Dylan Sampson (17 snaps, four carries and three catches) also mixed in. Per Jackson, while the Browns likely will continue rotating their running backs situationally, Judkins -- who didn't sign his rookie contract until Sept. 6 -- is a candidate to see his role increase this weekend now that he has one game under his belt.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Cleared to play

Jacobs (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Cleveland.

Jacobs never made the upgrade to full practice participation but at least took part in a limited capacity this week. He should stay busy Sunday with the Packers heavily favored to win, although Cleveland's one distinct strength so far this season has been shutting down the run. If nothing else, Jacobs is always a strong bet to rack up volume and score a touchdown.
