Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Inefficient with 17 touches
Judkins rushed 12 times for 21 yards and brought in all five targets for 27 yards in the Browns' 23-19 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Judkins once again handled a clear No. 1 role in Cleveland's ground attack, but he unsurprisingly found running room at a premium against the Buccaneers' stout defensive front. The second-year back was able to make up for the lack of rushing production to an extent with his work as a receiver, which saw him tie for the second-most receptions on the afternoon for the Browns. Judkins is averaging a meager 2.3 yards per carry through the first two games, but he has a useful 7-44-0 receiving line on seven targets in that same span as a Week 3 home matchup against the Panthers approaches next Sunday.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Tallies 50 total yards in loss
Judkins rushed 12 times for 33 yards and brought in both targets for 17 yards in the Browns' 34-10 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
Judkins operated as the unquestioned lead back for the Browns as expected, yet his opportunities on the ground were limited overall thanks to a game script that saw Cleveland already down 24-0 at the half. Judkins unsurprisingly found running room difficult to come by when he did carry the ball, but he was efficient with his pair of receptions. Judkins could face loaded defensive fronts most weeks if the Browns' quarterback play doesn't improve, and a Week 2 road matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday doesn't offer much promise on paper.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Doesn't suit up for preseason finale
Judkins didn't play in Thursday's exhibition win over New England.
Judkins also missed the team's second preseason game due to an undisclosed injury, but he returned to practice this past Monday and seems to be past the issue. He ended up logging action in only the first of the Browns' exhibition contests, when he carried four times for nine yards. Judkins is the clear No. 1 RB for Cleveland and could be headed for a heavy workload on a team that may again deploy a shaky passing game.

Judkins missed consecutive training camp practices earlier this week while recovering from an undisclosed issue. It looks like he'll observe Saturday's exhibition game in street clothes, and it's unclear whether he'll suit up for the Browns' preseason finale against the Patriots on Thursday. Judkins' absence means Dylan Sampson will lead the Browns' backfield against the Bills, with Raheim Sanders, Ahmani Marshall and Davon Booth also in the mix for reps.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Injury downplayed by Monken
Judkins (undisclosed) didn't practice Thursday, but coach Todd Monken said afterward that the running back is tending to "a little something nagging, nothing big," Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Judkins has missed back-to-back sessions due to an unspecified injury, but considering Monken's comment, the Browns nonetheless are taking a cautious approach with the second-year pro. As a rookie second-round pick in 2025, Judkins tallied 230 carries for 827 yards and seven touchdowns while hauling in 26 of 36 targets for 171 yards in 14 regular-season games before suffering a dislocated right ankle and broken right fibula Week 16 that required surgery. He was taking 11-on-11 drills as of mid-May and otherwise was back to 100 percent before the recent setback, health-wise. It's unclear if Judkins will suit up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Bills as a result.
