Buffalo signed Gore to its practice squad Wednesday, Alec White of the team's official site reports.

Gore was waived by the Bills on cutdown day Tuesday, but he's remaining with the organization on the practice squad. The 23-year-old will look to earn a chance on the active roster at some point during the season for what would be his NFL regular-season debut.

Milton signed with Cincinnati's practice squad Wednesday.

Milton and Gary Brightwell both joined the Bengals' practice squad after going unclaimed on waivers following final cuts. They will provide organizational backfield depth behind Chase Brown, Samaje Perine and Tahj Brooks, who all made the 53-man roster.

Texans general manager Nick Caserio declined to answer in the affirmative when asked Wednesday whether Mixon (foot/ankle) will suit up this season, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN reports.

Mixon is officially out the first four games of the year after having been placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list Tuesday, but when prompted Wednesday for more clarity about a timetable for his potential return to the field, all Caserio said was that the team will "take it one day at a time," and that players on IR or the NFI lists will be evaluated "after four weeks and see where they are in their progression and then make a determination." Mixon has been sidelined throughout spring activities, training camp and the preseason, leaving Nick Chubb, Dameon Pierce, Woody Marks and Dare Ogunbowale as Houston's top backfield options to open the regular season.

Steele signed with Kansas City's practice squad Wednesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Steele failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp but went unclaimed on waivers, so he'll stick with the Chiefs organization. He can contribute as either a running back or fullback in the backfield, but Steele isn't guaranteed to be the next man up if injuries strike, as Clyde Edwards-Helaire is also signing with Kansas City's practice squad.

Edwards-Helaire spent the offseason competing for a depth role with New Orleans, where he suited up for two regular-season games in 2024, but after being released Tuesday he now rejoins the team that selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He'll provide backfield depth for Kansas City.

Wilson is signing with Miami's practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Wilson is familiar with coach Mike McDaniel's rushing scheme and gives the Dolphins some depth at running back, with De'Von Achane (calf) injured but expected to be ready for Week 1 but Jaylen Wright (leg) a candidate to miss a bit of time early in the year. If Miami's backfield health doesn't improve in time to face off against the Colts in Week 1, it's possible Wilson gets elevated from the practice squad, though if Achane is healthy Wilson would figure to work, at best, in a reserve No. 3 capacity behind Ollie Gordon.

The Browns claimed Sanders off waivers from the Chargers on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The undrafted rookie out of South Carolina failed to make the cut with the Chargers, but he now gets a second NFL opportunity in short order. The Browns let go Pierre Strong on Tuesday, leaving the team with only Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson on the roster as backfield options. Quinshon Judkins remains unsigned and is uncertain to be available for Week 1, likely setting up a timeshare between Ford and Sampson. An injury could quickly thrust Sanders into playing time if he manages to stick around with Cleveland for at least a few weeks.

Carter made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday.

The Falcons cut Jashaun Corbin and Carlos Washington on Tuesday, leaving Carter as the No. 3 RB behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier to open the campaign. Carter is an undrafted rookie out of Michigan State and ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at his pro day. He finished the preseason with 16 rushing attempts for 85 yards in three games and scored the Falcons' only rushing touchdown, a 43-yard run against the Titans.

Holani was named the No. 3 running back after the Seahawks waived Damien Martinez on Tuesday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

An undrafted free agent in 2024, Holani was far from a roster lock after he suited up in just five games during his rookie season before the Seahawks selected Martinez in the seventh round. Holani earned his spot during a short but definitive preseason, as he rushed 12 times for 110 yards (9.2 YPC) and a touchdown while mixing in on the kick return. The Boise State product carries little fantasy value as long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy, but Holani's a fine stash in deeper dynasty leagues due to Walker's injury history.
