James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Suiting up Saturday
Conner (knee) is listed as active Saturday at the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Less than a week removed from injuring his right knee last Sunday in Carolina, Conner will be available to the Cardinals offense Week 17, as a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network implied he would be. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network also relayed that Conner will be a "full go" Saturday, meaning he should approach the 18.5 touches per game that he's averaged this season. With rookie third-round pick Trey Benson (ankle) out again, Michael Carter and DeeJay Dallas are the backfield options not named Conner for Arizona this weekend.

Isaac Guerendo RB | SF
49ers' Isaac Guerendo: Clear to return in Week 17
Guerendo (foot/hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Monday's game versus the Lions, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Guerendo managed limited practices Thursday and Friday due to foot and hamstring injuries that sidelined him last Sunday in Miami. Adam Schefter of ESPN then reported Saturday afternoon that Guerendo was expected to play Week 17, which now is a formality following comments from coach Kyle Shanahan. Guerendo thus will pace the 49ers backfield Monday after doing so Weeks 14 and 15, when he combined for 37 touches for 203 total yards and two rushing TDs.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Starts but barely plays
Stevenson started against the Chargers on Saturday but carried the ball only twice for one yard in the Patriots' 40-7 loss.
The Patriots indicated that they would bench Stevenson for Antonio Gibson on Saturday and more or less did -- Gibson saw 12 carries to Stevenson's two -- yet they bizarrely had Stevenson open the game as the starter, apparently in a ceremonial capacity. It's not clear what the Patriots meant to accomplish by doing that, but the result either way is that Stevenson has uncertain standing as the Patriots prepare to face the Bills in Week 18. Gibson did well with the workload, running for 63 yards, so it's not obvious what the Patriots mean to do next with Stevenson or/and Gibson.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Patriots' Antonio Gibson: Leads team backfield Saturday
Gibson ran for 63 yards on 12 carries during Saturday's 40-7 loss to the Chargers.
The Patriots previously indicated that Gibson would start over Rhamondre Stevenson in this game, but evidently the Patriots meant that Gibson would merely get the most usage of the two, as Stevenson was for some reason still the ceremonial starter Saturday. It's not clear what New England meant to convey with that, but Stevenson finished with only two carries for one yard while Gibson otherwise took over the backfield. Stevenson was previously reported as benched due to his prolific fumbling, and it remains to be seen if the Patriots mean to continue making a point on that front. Neither Patriots running back is likely set up all that great against the Bills in Week 18 unless Buffalo plays only second and third stringers in what could be a meaningless game, but it seems like Gibson has the recent momentum, mixed signals from the Patriots coaches aside.

Tyrion Davis-Price RB | GB
Eagles' Tyrion Davis-Price: Elevated for Week 17
Davis-Price was elevated from the Eagles' practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Davis-Price signed with the Eagles' practice squad in late August after failing to make the 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. It's his first elevation of the regular season, and he'll be on the Eagles' active roster for Sunday's game against the Cowboys as the No. 3 running back behind Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell due to Will Shipley (concussion) being ruled out. Davis-Price has appeared in seven regular-season games since being selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has turned 40 carries into 120 yards over that span.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Chargers' J.K. Dobbins: Finds end zone in return
Dobbins ran for 76 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries in Saturday's 40-7 win over the Patriots.
It was a grinding effort for Dobbins as the Patriots clearly made it a priority to stop him, but Dobbins held up well in his first game back from a four-week knee injury. Not just that, but the Patriots paid dearly for focusing on the run, as Justin Herbert torched them for 281 yards and three touchdowns while completing targets to nine different pass catchers. If the Chargers feed Dobbins against the Raiders in Week 18, he'll be a strong bet to make it two good games in a row, though it's worth noting the team has now clinched a playoff berth.

Michael Carter RB | ARI
Cardinals' Michael Carter: Back on active roster
The Cardinals elevated Carter from the practice squad ahead of Saturday's game at the Rams, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Arizona listed its top two running backs James Conner (knee) and Trey Benson (ankle) as questionable for Week 17 action, and while the former at the very least is expected to play Saturday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Carter will serve as insurance in the event either player is limited or inactive. Last Sunday at Carolina, Carter earned 25 (of 70) offensive snaps, which he parlayed into 10 touches for 48 yards from scrimmage, while position mate DeeJay Dallas had a one-yard TD catch during 18 plays.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Saints' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Elevated to active roster
The Saints promoted Edwards-Helaire to the active roster Saturday.
With Alvin Kamara (groin) still sidelined, Edwards-Halaire will join a plethora of available backs for New Orleans, including Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims. This will be Edwards-Helaire's first time suiting up on a 53-man roster this season.

Tyjae Spears RB | TEN
Titans' Tyjae Spears: Set to fill in for Pollard
With Tony Pollard (ankle/illness) ruled out, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, Spears is slated to see an expanded role Sunday against the Jaguars.
In the absence of Pollard, Spears is slated to lead Tennessee's backfield, with Julius Chestnut and Joshua Kelley available to mix in. Spears, who carried 10 times for 27 yards and two touchdowns and caught three of his four targets for 39 yards in a 38-30 loss to the Colts last weekend on a 61 percent snap share, is thus in a position to absorb some of Pollard's workload versus Jacksonville, a context that boosts his fantasy upside in Week 17.

Isaac Guerendo RB | SF
49ers' Isaac Guerendo: Week 17 return expected
Guerendo (foot/hamstring) is expected to play Monday against the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The 49ers have yet to post their final Week 17 injury report, but he seems destined to be listed as questionable considering he was limited in practice Thursday and Friday due to the foot and hamstring issues that sidelined him Week 16 at Miami. Assuming he's able to suit up Monday, he should take on the lead role out of San Francisco's backfield, which amounted to 37 touches for 203 yards from scrimmage and two rushing TDs between Weeks 14 and 15.
