  • Bills' Darrynton Evans: Could return Monday

Evans (hamstring) practiced in full Saturday but doesn't have a designation for Monday's game against the Jets.

Evans was designated to return from IR on Wednesday and has been a full participant in practice all week. However, he has yet to be added to the 53-man roster, leaving his status for MNF up in the air. His status for the matchup may ultimately hinge on James Cook's (toe) ability to play.

  • Zamir White RB | LV

Raiders' Zamir White: Looks unlikely to suit up Week 6

White (groin) remains listed as questionable but is viewed as a "longshot" to play in Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Though White returned to practice in a limited fashion Friday, the Raiders seem to be leaning toward holding the 25-year-old running back out for a second straight game. Official word on White's status will arrive when the Raiders post their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he sits out as expected, he would still seem to be on a positive track to return Week 7 for a battle with the Rams. Alexander Mattison led Las Vegas' backfield in White's absence last week against Denver and will likely reprise that role again Sunday, with Ameer Abdullah mixing in for change-of-pace work.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Texans' Joe Mixon: In line to return Sunday

Mixon (ankle) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play in Sunday's game against New England, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The veteran running back hasn't played since Week 2, when he suffered an ankle sprain against the Bears. However, after turning in a pair of limited practices Thursday and Friday, Mixon looks to be trending toward a return to the lineup Sunday, though his workload could be monitored more carefully than usual. Backfield mate Dameon Pierce (hamstring) has also been cleared to play Sunday following a four-game absence, so Cam Akers -- who had been getting a healthy workload while Mixon was out -- will likely slide back to a limited role as the No. 2 or 3 option on the depth chart.

  • Dante Miller RB | NYG

Giants' Dante Miller: Elevated to active roster again

Miller was elevated to the Giants' active roster Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Miller will be on the active roster for the second consecutive week, as Devin Singletary (groin) was ruled out again. Miller played only one offensive snap in Week 5 and will likely play a minimal role once again in Week 6.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Trending toward Week 7 return

Chubb (knee) is expected to be activated from the PUP list to make his 2024 debut against the Bengals in Week 7, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Chubb had his 21-day practice window opened Oct. 2, though the Browns have thus far resisted adding him back on the 53-man roster. The 28-year-old has already been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the Eagles, but he was able to log a trio of limited practice sessions during the week, setting himself up for a Week 7 return. Chubb last saw game action in Week 2 of last season, when he tore the ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee and ultimately required two separate surgeries. Jerome Ford has been leading Cleveland's backfield this season and has averaged 5.2 yards per carry, though he's scored just one touchdown thus far. Chubb will likely lead to be eased back into action to some extent, but if he eventually proves to be close to his ability level prior to the injury, he'll likely take over the lead-back role for the Browns in due time.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Lands contract extension

Montgomery agreed to a two-year, $18.25 million contract extension with the Lions on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Montgomery will get $10.5 million guaranteed in the new deal, which keeps him on the Lions' books through 2027. He has been a tone setter on offense for the Lions this season, scoring one touchdown in each of the team's four contests and tallying 271 yards on 63 carries along with 94 yards on nine catches overall. Backfield mate Jahmyr Gibbs -- who has 285 rushing yards and three scores on 54 carries along with an 11-76-1 receiving line this season -- is also signed with the Lions through 2027.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Officially questionable for Monday

Cook was a limited participant in practice Saturday and is questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets with a toe injury, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

A report earlier Saturday indicated that Cook would be limited in practice, but he is trending toward suiting up Monday. With the first part of that scenario having officially occurred, there is reason to believe Cook is in line to play against the Jets. The running back didn't practice at all Thursday and Friday, so his upgrade to a limited session Saturday is a welcome sign for fantasy managers who roster him. Still, it makes sense to keep a close eye on any updates to Cook's status, as the Bills playing on Monday Night Football makes for a tricky situation in fantasy should there be any hint that he may actually not be cleared to start in the contest. Ty Johnson and Ray Davis are the ball carriers behind Cook on the depth chart.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Commanders' Austin Ekeler: Set for more work Sunday

Ekeler is poised to operate as the Washington's lead back after Brian Robinson (knee) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Though he's on the downslope of his career, Ekeler has a pedigree as a three-down workhorse, so he should be in store for an uptick in carries even if he can't completely replicate Robinson's bludgeoning rushing style. Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez are on hand as depth options and could spell Ekeler on occasions Sunday, but the 29-year-old should nonetheless have a path to his largest workload of the season. He hadn't earned more than 11 touches in any of his first four appearances with Washington.

  • Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Primed for massive opportunity

Tracy is expected to see the lion's share of the snaps out of the backfield Sunday against the Bengals with Devin Singletary (groin) ruled out for Week 6.

The 2024 fifth-round pick has another big opportunity ahead of him after he shined in his first extended NFL action in the Giants' Week 5 win over the Seahawks. Though Eric Gray seemed to operate as the team's preferred option early in the Week 5 contest, his fumble on the opening drive opened the door for Tracy, who blasted through to the tune of 7.2 yards per carry on just 12 attempts. The 24-year-old is a bit slight (210 pounds) for his 5-foot-11 frame, and while he doesn't profile as a true three-down workhorse, there's reason to believe the converted collegiate wide receiver could be used more in passing situations as well. With Malik Nabers (concussion) out again, the Giants might be forced to get creative offensively, which would be a boon for Tracy's fantasy prospects.

  • Giants' Devin Singletary: Will not play Sunday

Singletary (groin) has been downgraded ahead of the Sunday night game against the Bengals and will not play in the contest.

Head coach Brian Daboll was noncommittal when asked about Singletary's status earlier in the week, which said all fantasy managers probably needed to know entering the primetime contest. As a result, rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy is set to operate as the team's starting running back in a juicy matchup against a Bengals defense that has been pitiful all year long. A converted collegiate receiver, it's entirely possible Tracy will get more involved through the air after seeing only two targets in the Week 5 win.
