  • Emanuel Wilson RB | SEA

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Questionable for Week 1

Wilson (hip) is listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Eagles in Brazil, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Wilson opened and closed Week 1 prep with limited listings across the board due to a hip issue. Meanwhile, rookie third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd finally logged an official limited practice Thursday as a result of the calf injury that has plagued him since Aug. 10, also leaving him questionable for Friday. Josh Jacobs represents Green Bay's clear-cut No. 1 running back, but who among Wilson or Lloyd will handle direct backup duties to kick off the campaign remains to be seen.

  • Patriots' Antonio Gibson: Limited with hip injury

Gibson (hip) was added to Thursday's injury report as a limited participant in practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Gibson practiced in full Wednesday, so it appears his current hip injury is a new issue. The backup running back will have one more chance to upgrade his practice level ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener against the Bengals. If Gibson were to miss any time, JaMycal Hasty would stand to step in as the No. 2 option behind starter Rhamondre Stevenson.

  • Packers' MarShawn Lloyd: Questionable for Friday

Lloyd (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Eagles in Brazil, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

A hamstring injury has plagued Lloyd since Aug. 10 and followed the rookie third-round pick into Week 1 prep, which kept him off the practice field Tuesday but didn't stop him from logging a limited session Thursday. Fellow RB Emanuel Wilson (hip) also had a cap on his reps all week and heads into Friday's contest listed as questionable, placing a cloud over who among the duo will be the No. 2 back behind starter Josh Jacobs in the wake of AJ Dillon's season-ending stinger.

  • Rasheen Ali RB | BAL

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Lands on IR

Ali (neck) has been placed on IR by the Ravens.

As a result, Ali will miss at least Baltimore's first four regular-season contests. To provide the team with backfield depth for Thursday night's opener against the Chiefs, John Kelly was elevated from the Ravens' practice squad to work behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.

  • John Kelly RB | CLE

Ravens' John Kelly: Promoted for Thursday night

The Ravens activated Kelly from the practice squad for Thursday night's Week 1 season opener against the Chiefs.

With Rasheen Ali (neck) out versus Kansas City, the veteran Kelly gets the call as the Ravens' RB3 behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. Kelly rushed 13 times for 52 yards during the preseason. He's unlikely to play more than a handful of snaps Thursday night.

  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Logs full practice

Warren (hamstring) was listed as a full participant in Thursday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Warren has been rehabbing a hamstring issue since being injured in an Aug. 17 preseason game, including being limited in Wednesday's practice, but it looks like he's fully ready for Week 1. The third-year pro doesn't look like he'll carry an injury designation into Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons, so it appears as though fantasy managers can be confident in Warren handling a key role out of the Pittsburgh backfield alongside Najee Harris.

  • 49ers' Christian McCaffrey: To be limited Thursday

Coach Kyle Shanahan said McCaffrey (calf/Achilles) will be a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The injury that forced McCaffrey to miss the entire preseason slate was termed a strained calf, but Shanahan tacked on Achilles in his session with the media Thursday. There doesn't seem to be much worry about McCaffrey's availability for Monday's Week 1 matchup with the Jets, but his status nonetheless bears watching in the coming days. Behind McCaffrey, Jordan Mason is the likely next man up at running back for the 49ers with Elijah Mitchell (hamstring, IR) out for the season, and Isaac Guerendo (groin) and Patrick Taylor also on the team's active roster.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Panthers' Miles Sanders: Ready to rock

Sanders (finger) practiced in full Thursday.

Sanders was listed as a limited participant Wednesday, but he's now fully shed his finger injury. The veteran running back looks primed to contribute behind Chuba Hubbard out of the backfield to begin the 2024 regular season, starting with a Week 1 matchup on the road against the Saints on Sunday.

  • Dillon Johnson RB | CAR

    Dillon Johnson: Gets another opportunity

Johnson signed with the Panthers' practice squad Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Johnson joined Carolina in July and was unable to make the 53-man roster out of training camp. However, the Washington product will get a second opportunity with the team, taking the last open spot on their practice squad.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Sidesteps injury report

Charbonnet (undisclosed) wasn't listed on the Seattle injury report Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Charbonnet missed practice Aug. 14 due to undisclosed tightness, and while he returned to drills Aug. 20, he wasn't wearing pads during that session. A little more than two weeks later, he was able to handle every on-field rep, indicating his health is up to par for Sunday's season opener versus the Broncos. Charbonnet again will take a back seat to No. 1 back Kenneth Walker in Seattle's offense in the upcoming campaign, a reality that contained him to 141 touches for 671 yards from scrimmage and one rushing touchdown in 16 games as a second-round rookie in 2023.
