  • Football Team's Ricky Seals-Jones: Good to go, replacing Thomas

Seals-Jones (hip) has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Seals-Jones comes back from a three-game absence right after fellow tight end Logan Thomas suffered a season-ending knee injury. During his first stint replacing Thomas, the 26-year-old took on an every-down role and saw four or more targets in six straight games, averaging 3.7 catches for 35.2 yards on 5.7 targets despite leaving the sixth game in the first half with a hip injury. A similar workload down the stretch would keep Seals-Jones on the radar in most fantasy leagues, but it is possible rookie John Bates takes on a little more work this time around, having played more than half the offensive snaps in four straight games entering Sunday.

  • Trevon Wesco TE | LV

Jets' Trevon Wesco: Will miss Week 14

Wesco (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Wesco will miss a second straight game while working his way back from an ankle injury. In his stead, and especially with Ryan Griffin (ankle) also managing an injury and Tyler Kroft (chest) still on IR, Kenny Yeboah could handle increased reps versus New Orleans.

  • Tommy Sweeney TE | CHI

Bills' Tommy Sweeney: Ruled out for Week 14

Sweeney (hip) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Sweeney will miss his first game of the season due to a hip injury. The third-year tight end has only drawn one target in his last four appearances, so his absence may not have much of an impact on the involvement of Dawson Knox, but the Bills will likely now need to bring at least one of Quintin Morris or Kahale Warring up from the practice squad.

  • Pat Freiermuth TE | PIT

Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Bittersweet night in loss

Freiermuth brought in two of three targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 36-28 loss to the Vikings on Thursday night.

The rookie tight end played a key role in the Steelers' second-half comeback, but his inability to come up with a would-be touchdown grab as time expired also ensured that rally would fall short. Freiermuth got into the end zone from 15 yards out with 4:14 remaining to help bring Pittsburgh within eight points; however, he subsequently was stripped of the ball by Harrison Smith on a perfect throw from Ben Roethlisberger as time expired that would have brought the Steelers within a two-point conversion of sending the game into overtime had he hung on to it. The mixed bag of a night still yielded a decent fantasy performance thanks to the score, Freiermuth's seventh in what has been an impressive rookie campaign. The Penn State product heads into a Week 15 clash with the Titans a week from Sunday having scored six of those touchdowns across his last seven contests.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Bumps to limited practice

Jordan (hand) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.

This marks Jordan's first on-field work of Week 14 prep, leaving him one more chance to operate in a full capacity before the Texans potentially tab him with a designation for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Through five appearances in his rookie season, he's hauled in 11 of 16 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns, primarily working behind Pharaoh Brown.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Cardinals' Zach Ertz: Dealing with shoulder issue

Ertz was listed as limited on Thursday's practice report due to a shoulder injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Ertz now has made exactly six appearances apiece for the Eagles and Cardinals this season, and he has 31 targets in both locales. Still, he's produced more in Arizona, with a 23-279-3 receiving line versus 18-189-2 in Philly prior to his midseason trade. Ertz is tending to a shoulder injury Week 14, but he'll have a pair of sessions to bump up to full before the Cards potentially give him a designation for Monday night's game against the Rams.

  • Tommy Hudson TE | NO

Titans' Tommy Hudson: Not participating at practice

Hudson (ankle) was a non-participant at practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Hudson suffered an ankle injury in Week 12 against New England and still isn't practicing after the Titans' bye week. The 24-year-old seems to be trending in the wrong direction to play Sunday against Jacksonville.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Lions' T.J. Hockenson: Sits out Thursday's practice

    Hockenson (hand) didn't practice Thursday.

During the portion of Thursday's session open to the media, Hockenson was spotted with a heavy tape job on his left hand, according to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Hockenson's downgrade from limited Wednesday to no activity one day later may merely be maintenance-related, but Friday's injury report will relay whether the tight end is in possible danger of sitting out this weekend.

  • Football Team's Ricky Seals-Jones: Logs limited session Thursday

Seals-Jones (hip) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.

Seals-Jones has yet to log a full practice since injuring his hip back in Week 10 against the Buccaneers, missing three games as a result. With Washington placing Logan Thomas (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, there's now a void to fill at tight end for the Football Team's offense, which Seals-Jones will take on when he's able to gain clearance to play. Aside from Seals-Jones, John Bates is the other candidate to get significant work at the position.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Raiders' Darren Waller: Misses another practice

Waller (knee/back) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Back-to-back absences don't bode well for Waller's chances of returning to action Sunday against Kansas City, with Friday's injury report destined to add clarity with regard to the tight end's Week 14 status. If Waller is out or limited this weekend, Foster Moreau will continue to see added opportunities in the Raiders offense.
