  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Seven catches in Monday's win

Moreau caught seven of nine targets for 65 yards in Monday's 16-14 win over Cleveland.

Moreau filled in admirably for Darren Waller (knee/back) in this one, leading the Raiders in catches and tying Zay Jones for the team lead in targets while trailing Jones by two receiving yards for the game's high-water mark. If Waller isn't ready to return Week 16 against the Broncos, Moreau would retain the starting tight end job and the attention from quarterback Derek Carr that comes with that role.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Three catches in Week 15

Njoku caught three of five targets for 29 yards in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Raiders.

Njoku finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Donovan Peoples-Jones, but more was expected out of Njoku with fellow tight end Austin Hooper (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list. It actually was third-string tight end Harrison Bryant (ankle) who caught the only touchdown pass thrown by Browns quarterback Nick Mullens, giving Cleveland a short-lived 14-13 lead with his six-yard score in the fourth quarter. Cleveland will hope to get more of its regular starters, including quarterback Baker Mayfield (illness), back from COVID-19 protocols by the time the team travels to Green Bay in Week 16.

  • Adam Trautman TE | DEN

Saints' Adam Trautman: Catches pass in return to field

Trautman caught one of two passes for four yards during Sunday's 9-0 win over Tampa Bay.

Trautman only needed the minimum of three games to return from an MCL sprain that landed him on injured reserve. However, he ultimately tied Nick Vannett with 57 percent of the playing time, while Juwan Johnson (35 percent) saw a healthy amount of snaps as well. Considering Trautman regularly topped 80 percent pre-injury, it wouldn't be a surprise to see his opportunities rise down the stretch.

  • Brock Wright TE | DET

Lions' Brock Wright: No catches against Arizona

Wright was targeted once but did not catch a pass during Sunday's 30-12 win over the Cardinals.

Wright trailed Shane Zylstra in offensive snaps last week against Denver, but this time Wright logged three quarters of the playing time while Zylstra was held under half of it. However, neither tight end found much success as a receiver, despite Detroit finding immense offensive success. As such, neither of Wright nor Zylstra is worth much fantasy consideration, especially with Jared Goff (COVID-19) uncertain to play Sunday against Atlanta.

  • Jonnu Smith TE | PIT

Patriots' Jonnu Smith: One catch in Week 15

Smith caught just one of his three targets for three yards in Saturday's 27-17 loss to Indianapolis.

Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Smith logged 17 of a possible 68 snaps in the contest, while fellow tight end Hunter Henry was on the field for 55 snaps, en route to catching six of his eight targets for 77 yards and two TDs. Back-to-back one-catch efforts doesn't inspire much confidence in Smith as a Week 16 fantasy option, but if the Patriots' wideout depth is compromised this weekend -- which is possible -- the team may need to focus more attention on its tight end duo versus Buffalo on Sunday.

  • Jody Fortson TE | KC

Chiefs' Jody Fortson: Activated off COVID-19 list

Fortson (Achilles) was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Forston has cleared protocols and can return to the team facility. However, the 26-year-old is still expected to miss the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles, so this move was simply procedural.

  • David Wells TE | TB

Cardinals' David Wells: Activated from injured reserve

Wells (hand) was activated from injured reserve Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Wells has only appeared in one game for Arizona this season, registering just one offensive snap during the contest. Now that he's healthy, the depth tight end is expected to compete with Demetrius Harris and Darrell Daniels for snaps behind Zach Ertz.

  • Jesse James TE | LV

Bears' Jesse James: Not activated Monday

James will remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be available for Monday's game against the Vikings, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.

The reserve tight end is one of 14 members of the Bears roster or practice squad who won't suit up Monday after being placed on the list in recent days. James had drawn just one target over the Bears' last five games, so his absence will likely go unnoticed for fantasy purposes.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Headed to COVID list

The Chiefs placed Kelce on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Kelce is vaccinated, which means his placement on the list is the result of a positive test. Due the NFL's new COVID-19 return-to-play protocols, Kelce could be cleared in advance of Sunday's game against the Steelers if he's asymptomatic of the virus. For the time being, however, Kansas City's available tight ends are Blake Bell and Noah Gray.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

Titans' MyCole Pruitt: One yard against Pittsburgh

Pruitt recorded one catch on one target for one yard in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Pittsburgh.

Pruitt was on the field for 34 percent of offensive snaps, good for second among the team's tight ends. However, his involvement in the passing game was minimal, and he has now been limited to one or fewer receptions in his last six contests.
