  • Foster Moreau TE | HOU

Raiders' Foster Moreau: Playing time decreases in loss

Moreau was not targeted during the Raiders' 28-14 loss to the Chargers on Monday.

Moreau played just 17 offensive snaps while fellow tight end Darren Waller turned seven targets into four receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. Moreau could see a slight rebound in playing time if the Raiders are able to get out to an early lead against the Bears in Week 5.

  • Johnny Mundt TE | PHI

Rams' Johnny Mundt: Grabs first catch of season

Mundt had a nine-yard reception during Sunday's 37-20 loss to Arizona.

Primarily deployed as a blocker, Mundt's fantasy value is limited. He's caught just 10 passes through his five-year career. Even if No. 1 tight end Tyler Higbee were to miss time, it's unlikely Mundt would emerge as a consistent contributor in the passing attack.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Season-high 60 yards in loss

Ertz caught six of eight targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 42-30 loss to the Chiefs.

For the second-straight week, Ertz finished in at least a tie for second in every receiving category and has firmly re-established himself in the Philadelphia offense after a slow first two weeks. He played only 35 snaps to Dallas Goedert's 52, and while Goedert got the touchdown, it was his only red-zone target compared to three for the 30-year-old Ertz on the day. Sharing key tight end duties still caps each one's upside, but both have managed to be productive so far.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Raiders' Darren Waller: Scores in defeat

Waller caught four of seven targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 28-14 loss to the Chargers.

Waller's first target didn't come until the second quarter, setting the stage for a relatively quiet night by the Pro Bowler's standards. Fortunately, Waller still made a significant contribution in the form of a three-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter, pulling the Raiders to within one score at the time. Despite not topping five catches or 65 yards since Week 1, Waller remains Las Vegas' most important option in the passing game, and he'll strive to help the team get back to its winning ways Sunday versus the Bears.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Seahawks' Gerald Everett: May be activated Tuesday

Everett (illness) may be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list before Thursday's game against the Rams after returning a negative test Monday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "At this point, we're saying there's a chance," coach Pete Carroll said. "We'll know more tomorrow."

Everett landed on the COVID list last Wednesday after testing positive, but because he's vaccinated, he only needs to test negative again Tuesday to return to the active roster. Of course, if he doesn't, he'll have to do so Wednesday and Thursday to give himself a chance to suit up Week 5. This past Sunday at San Francisco with Everett sidelined, Will Dissly led Seahawks tight ends with an 82-percent share of the offensive snaps, Colby Parkinson got 68 percent, and Tyler Mabry brought up the rear with 14 percent.

  • Geoff Swaim TE | CLE

Titans' Geoff Swaim: Only one target

Swaim failed to bring in his only target during Sunday's overtime loss to the Jets.

Swaim was on the field for 32 percent of the team's offensive snaps, second at the position behind Anthony Firkser. However, as has been typical, he primary served as a blocker. In the two games that Firkser has been on the field this season, Swaim has combined to record only two targets and no receptions.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Calf injury lingers

Kittle is considered day-to-day with a calf injury, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Kittle emerged from the 49ers' Week 3 loss to the Packers with a sore calf, which contained him to one limited practice last week. He still was active Sunday against the Seahawks and logged 70 of 76 offensive snaps (92 percent), but he didn't produce much on 11 targets (four catches for 40 yards). The lack of output may have been the result of the injury, but he was also on the receiving end of passes from both Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance because the former suffered a bruised calf in the contest. Garoppolo is a question mark to suit up this Sunday in Arizona, meaning Kittle could be working with Lance for a full game Week 5.

  • Kylen Granson TE | TEN

Colts' Kylen Granson: Gets first NFL reception

Granson had one reception for three yards on two targets in Sunday's win at Miami. It was his first career NFL reception.

Granson saw his first sizeable playing time as Jack Doyle was likely limited by a sore back. Granson played on 30 of the offense's 71 snaps and went out on 18 routes. Doyle played just 21 snaps. While Granson didn't produce viable fantasy stats, his progress bears monitoring, as there were some reports during the preseason that he could be featured in the passing game. While that hasn't materialized yet, the rookie could see a larger role later in the season.

  • Ross Dwelley TE | CAR

49ers' Ross Dwelley: First catch goes for a score

Dwelley caught his lone target for a 21-yard touchdown in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Seahawks.

Dwelley got the scoring going on a seam route where he boxed out his assignment and corralled the pass for a touchdown. It was the backup tight end's first catch (and target) through four games, which emphasizes his role -- or lack thereof -- on offense while George Kittle is active.

  • Tyler Conklin TE | DET

Vikings' Tyler Conklin: Six targets but few yards

Conklin had four receptions for 18 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.

Conklin missed practice Wednesday due to glute and elbow injuries, but he made it back on the field Thursday and Friday and looked at full speed Sunday. While he produced just 18 yards from scrimmage, it was encouraging that he had six targets after eight in Week 3. Minnesota struggled to move the ball against Cleveland's tough defense, so his continued involvement in the passing game bodes well for an easier matchup next week against Detroit.
