Hudson signed with the Titans' practice squad Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Hudson is sticking around with the Titans after being cut Monday. The Arizona State product hasn't played a game since entering the league as an undrafted free agent last season.

Jacobson signed with Seattle's practice squad Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

A basketball player at Iowa State, Jacobson is hoping to convert his raw athleticism and 6-foot-7, 244-pound frame to the football field.

Engram (calf) remained sidelined for Tuesday's walk-through practice session, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Engram has logged a pair of DNPs to open Week 2, which doesn't bode well for his chances of making the quick turnaround to suit up for Thursday's clash with Washington. Prior to the session, Giants head coach Joe Judge told Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News that Engram is moving around better and added that he's hopeful the tight end will play against the Football Team, but that may be wishful thinking at this stage. Engram still has one more chance to get in some work Wednesday before the Giants determine his status ahead of the divisional matchup.

Uzomah had just two catches for 35 yards in Sunday's win over the Vikings, but one of those was on fourth down in overtime, a grab that put the Bengals in position to kick a game-winning field goal.

Uzomah had just two targets on 51 snaps, but teammate Drew Sample had zero targets on 35 offensive snaps. With three strong wide receivers at Joe Burrow's disposal and Joe Mixon also involved in the passing game, there's little room for the tight ends to get much action.

Andrews caught three of five targets for 20 yards in Monday night's 33-27 overtime loss to the Raiders.

Andrews struggled to make an impact to open the season, but even so only Sammy Watkins (eight) and Marquise Brown (six) saw more targets than him on the Ravens. After recently cashing in with a long-term extension, Andrews will hope to put forth an improved showing in Week 2 versus Kansas City, even though he's never topped 25 receiving yards in three games against the AFC West powerhouse so far in his career.

Waller caught 10 of 19 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 33-27 overtime win against the Ravens.

Waller was targeted early and often, but he took a while to get going, with a couple of drops hurting his performance initially. However, once he found his rhythm, Waller consistently took advantage of man coverage, racking up the looks from quarterback Derek Carr. The star tight end comfortably led the Raiders in all major receiving categories, adding an exclamation point with a 10-yard touchdown to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Coming off his first Pro Bowl campaign, Waller's display Monday only added to the expectation that he's in for another huge year.

Gesicki was targeted twice and held without a catch in Sunday's season-opening 17-16 win over the Patriots, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Gesicki logged just 21 snaps in the contest, while Durham Smythe was out there for 38 and caught one pass (on two targets) for nine yards. Schad suggests that Gesicki's limited usage was in part due to the Dolphins starting a rookie (Liam Eichenberg) at left tackle in place of Austin Jackson, meaning that blocking was a prime consideration for TE snap allocation Week 1. Looking ahead, with Jackson presumably on track to step into his usual role this coming weekend, it wouldn't surprise us to see Gesicki more involved in the team's passing game versus the Bills in Week 2.

Knox caught all four of his targets for 41 yards in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.

While Knox isn't exactly Travis Kelce out there even though he has shown some nice athleticism, this is actually a decent start considering the yardage total would have been his second best during the 2020 regular season. If Knox can get into the end zone with some regularity, there's deep-league value to be found, as he has almost no competition in his position group for targets and can serve as an option if opponents try to take away too much from Buffalo's productive receivers group. Knox was the only Buffalo tight end to see a target Sunday. It's also worth noting that he caught all four balls thrown his way, as drops have been an issue for the third-year tight end in the past.

The Titans waived Hudson (toe) from their active roster Monday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Hudson didn't play in Week 1 as he dealt with a toe injury, which allowed MyCole Pruitt to be elevated from the practice squad. The Titans have now made the switch official, as Hudson was waived and Pruitt was signed to the active roster. Hudson joined the Titans as an UDFA last season, but he was suspended for the first six weeks of the season for violating the NFL's Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy.

The Titans signed Pruitt to their active roster Monday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Pruitt was elevated to the Titans' active roster ahead of Week 1 and will stick on the 53-man roster for awhile. He has replaced Tommy Hudson on the active roster as the primary backup behind Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser
