Trautman caught three of six targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 38-3 victory over the Packers.

Trautman led the Saints in targets on a day when Jameis Winston needed to throw only 20 passes, but he dropped two of them while fellow tight end Juwan Johnson caught all three of his targets for 21 yards and two touchdowns. While his high target share is encouraging, the second-year tight end will warrant fantasy consideration only in deeper leagues until he becomes more impactful as a receiver down the field.

Everett caught both of his targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.

Everett caught a quick slant for a nine-yard touchdown on the second drive of the game. The former Ram wasn't targeted the rest of the day, while fellow tight end Will Dissly finished with three catches for 37 yards. The Seahawks lost two of their five wide receivers -- Dee Eskridge and Penny Hart -- to concussions in the season opener, so Everett may be counted on more in Week 2 against the Titans if neither player is cleared in time.

Kroft caught three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers.

Kroft and Ryan Griffin (three catches for 22 yards on six targets) saw similar involvement. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson targeted the tight end position 11 times in this one, but the absences of veteran wide receivers Jamison Crowder (illness) and Keelan Cole (knee) likely played a role in that volume. Even though he sits atop the tight-end depth chart, Kroft's role will likely remain limited compared to some of the Jets' other pass-catchers.

Thomas caught all three of his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Chargers.

Washington as a whole mustered just 133 passing yards, with Thomas scoring the team's only touchdown on the day. The veteran tight end finished second in yardage and third in targets, but given the mundane offensive figures as a whole it's hard to really gauge where Thomas fits into the gameplan for future weeks. Ryan Fitzpatrick left Sunday's game early with a hip injury, which could mean Taylor Heinicke will be forced into action for future weeks, complicating the target share even further.

Goedert brought in four of five targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 32-6 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

The top receiving duo of DeVonta Smith and Jalen Reagor outpaced him in receptions and receiving yards, but Goedert joined his speedy pair of teammates in finding the end zone. The fourth-year tight end saw three more targets than position mate Zach Ertz, and he and quarterback Jalen Hurts looked like they hadn't missed a beat after their productive finish to the 2020 campaign. Goedert will look to build on the strong season-opening effort versus the 49ers in Week 2.

Deguara suffered a concussion and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Saints.

It was a scary scene in Jacksonville as Deguara was down for several minutes while trainers looked at him, but he was ultimately able to walk off under his own power. If the 24-year-old can't return for Week 2 against Detroit, Dominique Dafney may get some extra snaps as Green Bay's no. 3 tight end.

Hockenson caught eight of 10 targets for 97 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 41-33 loss to San Francisco. He also caught a two-point conversion.

As expected, Hockenson and D'Andre Swift (11 targets) were the Lions' top options in the passing game as Jared Goff struggled to attack the 49ers' questionable group of cornerbacks. While it should be noted that Detroit was down 38-10 halfway through the third quarter -- which played a large role in Goff attempting a hefty 57 passes, and, in turn, Hockenson seeing double-digit targets -- the Lions defense may be bad enough to regularly force Goff to throw at will. Hockenson should be one of the top fantasy options at tight end when Detroit travels to Green Bay in Week 2.

Pitts brought in four of eight targets for 31 yards in the Falcons' 32-6 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Pitts' highly anticipated regular-season debut was a disappointing microcosm of the Falcons' afternoon, even as the rookie tight end tied for second on the team in receptions and also was the runner-up in receiving yardage, despite his modest total. His longest reception went for 18 yards, meaning he netted a measly 13 on his three other grabs. Pitts did draw even with Calvin Ridley for the team lead in targets, however, offering a glimmer of optimism for disheartened fantasy managers who invested heavy draft capital in him. Pitts will have the tough task of trying to better his production in a Week 2 road battle against the defending champion Buccaneers.

Kittle caught four of five targets for 78 yards Sunday, but he lost a fumble in a 41-33 win over the Lions.

Deebo Samuel (nine catches, 189 yards and a touchdown) did most of the heavy lifting on the receiving end, but Kittle still managed to do some damage between the numbers against an inexperienced Detroit defense. The 27-year-old remains one of the top tight ends in the league, but he will have the occasional moderate volume game, like this one, due to his elite run blocking on a run-heavy offense. Kittle remains a bona fide TE1 heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Eagles.

Bryant is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, according to Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site.

Bryant makes the active roster for the season opener, but he is behind both Austin Hooper and David Njoku on the depth chart. As a result, he's not expected to have a big role in the Browns' passing attack Sunday.
