Engram is slated to play at least the first half of next Sunday's preseason finale versus the Patriots, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.

Kept out of the Giants' first two exhibitions to date, Engram now is poised to get some in-game reps before the regular season. He'll be doing so with Daniel Jones, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, but it remains to be seen if Saquon Barkley (knee) and Kenny Golladay (hamstring) will do enough this week to be given the all-clear by the team.

Arnold made his Panthers debut but was not targeted on any of his eight snaps in Saturday's 20-3 preseason loss to the Ravens.

Arnold sat out Carolina's exhibition opener but got a small taste of the action this weekend. With consistently positive reviews of his performance during training camp, Arnold's stock is on the rise heading into the upcoming campaign, and he'll perhaps get to show his stuff more in Friday's preseason finale versus the Steelers, when coach Matt Rhule hopes to play his starters for about a half.

The Eagles signed Angeline on Sunday to take the place of the injured Jason Croom.

Angeline spent the offseason with the Cardinals before being released in favor of Demetrius Harris last week. The undrafted free agent recorded 27 catches for 412 yards and six touchdowns during his final season at North Carolina State.

Schultz caught his only target for nine yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Texans.

Both Schultz and Blake Jarwin saw snaps with the first-team offense, but it was Jarwin who made the bigger impact as he caught a 25-yard pass to set up the Cowboys' first TD of the night. It could be tough for either tight end to make a consistent fantasy impact as long as both are healthy, but Schultz is more likely to be the secondary receiving option of the duo.

Cox started at tight end and didn't have a reception on his lone target in Saturday's preseason win at Minnesota.

Cox got the start at tight end with Jack Doyle sitting out. While Cox didn't show much on offense, he proved he's healthy after missing two weeks of practice due to a knee injury. Doyle looks set to remain the starter, and the Colts value Alie-Cox's blocking and in-line work, but Alie-Cox could emerge as a red-zone threat due to his height (6-foot-5) and promising hands.

Brown started at tight end for Saturday's 20-14 win over Dallas in preseason Week 2.

Brown and Jordan Akins each made their preseason debuts Saturday and neither was targeted. Akins entered training camp atop the tight end depth chart, but Brown is considered the better blocker of the two and could be the starter for an offense that's expected to run more than it did in 2020.

Akins was not targeted during Saturday's 20-14 win over the Cowboys in preseason Week 2.

Akins made his preseason debut but did not start, per Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle. That honor went to Pharaoh Brown, who also made his preseason debut. The tight end position group was largely invisible, as only rookie Brevin Jordan was targeted (twice) and had one catch for seven yards. Akins and Brown are one-two atop the depth chart, but if the Texans rely heavily on the ground game --which is the consensus -- then Brown is the more favored blocker of the two.

Sternberger was targeted three times and caught two passes for five yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets.

Sternberger hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass from Kurt Benkert in the second quarter of Saturday's contest, but he also mishandled a third-down pass earlier in the game that would have given the Packers a first down, so it was not the clean showing he could have used to secure a spot on the roster. Sternberger will have one more chance to impress before the Packers decide to keep him around -- and place him on the suspended list to start the season -- or move on.

Kroft caught both of his targets for 36 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 23-14 preseason win over the Packers.

Kroft scored a pair of 18-yard touchdowns thrown by starting quarterback Zach Wilson -- the first two touchdowns of Wilson's NFL career. On both plays, Kroft caught the ball outside the end zone and used his 6-foot-6, 252-pound frame to power his way over the goal line. After signing with the Jets in the offseason, the 28-year-old Kroft has made a strong impression and appears to have surpassed Chris Herndon for the top spot on the team's tight end depth chart heading into the preseason finale against the Eagles.

Andrews (undisclosed) didn't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

The same applies to starting quarterback Lamar Jackson, as well as Baltimore's top wide receivers. In the case of Andrews, the tight end had a severe bout of cramping at Thursday's practice, so it's no surprise he was held out of action Saturday. It remains to be seen if Andrews suits up for the team's preseason finale, but either way the 25-year-old approaches the 2021 regular season entrenched as the team's No. 1 tight end.
