  • Ian Thomas TE | LV

Panthers' Ian Thomas: Makes two catches vs. Seahawks

Thomas caught two of four targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Seahawks.

Although Thomas started in the absence of Greg Olsen (concussion) in a favorable matchup on paper, he simply wasn't used often enough to make much of an impact. The lack of production was especially frustrating for fantasy managers who scooped Thomas up after he received 10 targets a week ago. Even if the second-year pro receives another starting nod next Sunday against the Colts, this outing illustrates the risk associated with starting him in fantasy lineups.

  • Browns' Ricky Seals-Jones: Leaves with shoulder injury

Seals-Jones was forced out of Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a shoulder injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Seals-Jones was in line for increased duties with David Njoku serving as a healthy scratch, and he executed against his former team, hauling in three passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. The 24-year-old Seals-Jones' fantasy value the rest of the season relies on his health and whether Njoku returns to the lineup.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Five grabs in win

Goedert caught five of six targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Redskins.

Philadelphia's backup tight end continues to play a sizable role in the offense with all of the team's injuries at the wide receiver position. Goedert has now totaled at least three receptions in each of his past nine games, and this was his third time topping 50 yards in that stretch.

  • Jonnu Smith TE | PIT

Titans' Jonnu Smith: Tears off 57-yard run

Smith caught all five of his targets for 60 yards and picked up 57 yards on his lone rush attempt during a 24-21 loss to Houston on Sunday.

Smith lined up behind Ryan Tannehill on the Titans' opening snap of the fourth quarter and peeled off a 57-yard gain on a toss play to the right, the longest run by a tight end in 43 years. Prior to Sunday there had only been three occasions all season in which a tight end had broken 20 miles per hour as a ball carrier, but Smith was able to achieve that feat two times Week 15 while gaining 17-plus yards on three of his six offensive touches. In Tennessee's upcoming Week 16 matchup against New Orleans, Smith will be in search of his second touchdown in three games, taking on a Saints defense that has surrendered just three TDs to opposing tight ends all season.

  • Mike Gesicki TE | CIN

Dolphins' Mike Gesicki: Four catches in loss

Gesicki caught four of eight targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 36-20 loss to the Giants.

Gesicki has cooled down after a two-game touchdown streak, totaling five catches for 53 yards in two games since. The second-year tight end has tantalizing physical gifts, but he's still trying to find consistency. Playing for a 3-11 Dolphins team doesn't help in that regard, though a prime matchup awaits Week 16 with the 1-13 Bengals coming to town.

  • Jesper Horsted TE | CAR

Bears' Jesper Horsted: Targeted three times

Horsted caught one pass for 18 yards in the Bears' 21-13 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Even though the Bears were trailing by double digits for most of the second half, Horsted was targeted just three times on a day that Mitchell Trubisky threw the ball 53 times. He's averaging fewer than three targets per game, and he'll be a low-floor fantasy option at home in Week 16 against the Chiefs.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Racks up 142 yards in win

Kelce caught 11 of 13 targets for 142 yards during Sunday's 23-3 win over Denver.

Sunday's snow-covered field wasn't necessarily conducive to a prolific passing attack, but the Chiefs hummed for most of the game thanks in large part to Kelce's work. The veteran tight end consistently shook open over the middle of the field for a season-high 11 catches, 13 targets and 142 yards, the most meaningful of which was likely an 11-yard reception late in the first quarter that made Kelce the first tight end in NFL history to record four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Kelce has been the picture of consistency this season with at least five catches in 10 of 14 games. He'll be relied on Sunday against Chicago's 13th-ranked pass defense.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Stays hot in important win

Ertz caught five of 10 targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 win over Washington.

Ertz was shaken up in the first half after taking a high hit that was flagged for a personal foul, but he stayed in the game and paced the Eagles in targets while tying Greg Ward for the team lead in receiving yards. His two-yard touchdown gave the Eagles a 24-21 lead with 9:59 to play. The star tight end is in the midst of a terrific stretch that's seen him total 47 catches for 464 yards and five touchdowns over the past six games. Ertz should stay busy in the critical Week 16 meeting with the Cowboys.

  • Tanner Hudson TE | CIN

Buccaneers' Tanner Hudson: Suffers possible concussion

Hudson left Sunday's game against the Lions to be evaluated for a concussion, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

The injury was announced in the latter stages of the fourth quarter, so Hudson may not be able to return regardless of whether he has a concussion. The 25-year-old caught his lone target for 14 yards prior to leaving the game.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Broncos' Noah Fant: Returns to action

Fant, who was forced out of Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a shoulder injury, was later able to return to the contest.

This is great news for the Broncos, with the young tight end coming off a strong effort Week 14 and in line to be a key cog in the team's passing game down the stretch, health permitting.
