Freiermuth brought in three of five targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 27-24 loss to the Browns on Thursday.

Freiermuth and fellow tight end Darnell Washington each had three catches and a touchdown on five targets, as the two continued in a pretty even timeshare at the position. Freiermuth's scoring grab was particularly timely, as it came with 1:42 remaining and put the Steelers within two points of knotting the game up at 24-24. Freiermuth has multiple receptions in every game this season and a pair of touchdown catches, and he should remain in a similar role when Pittsburgh returns to action in a Week 5 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Fannin secured three of five targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in the Browns' 27-24 win over the Steelers on Thursday.

After surging over the last pair of contests, Fannin had a quiet night somewhat reminiscent of his Week 1 performance against the Jaguars. However, the second-year tight end still rewarded fantasy managers by crossing the goal line for the third time in the last two games on a two-yard catch late in the first half. Fannin does have at least five targets in three straight games, and he should have a good chance of continuing to serve as a key target for a resurgent Deshaun Watson in a Week 5 road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Raridon (thigh) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Raridon was limited again Thursday. If the thigh injury keeps the rookie off the field in the Week 4 meeting with the Bills, Tanner Arkin could see more snaps behind Hunter Henry and Cameron Latu.

Parkinson (knee/shoulder) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

In addition to the shoulder injury he suffered last Sunday against Denver, Parkinson is still battling through a knee issue. If neither he nor Terrance Ferguson (ankle) are able to play Sunday against the Eagles, the Rams will need to lean on Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Max Klare at tight end.

Ferguson (ankle) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Like Ferguson, Colby Parkinson (knee/shoulder) also logged a second straight DNP to begin the practice week. If neither tight end is able to play Sunday against Philadelphia, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Max Klare would be in line for heavy snaps in a Los Angeles offense that uses three-plus tight ends more than any other team.

Smythe (heel) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Smythe was limited during practice Wednesday, though he managed to participate fully Thursday. The 31-year-old veteran logged 108 offensive snaps for the Ravens throughout the first three weeks of the 2026 campaign, with fellow tight end Mark Andrews (hand) recording 123. However, Smythe hasn't done much of relevance in his three appearances, catching one pass (two targets) for four yards.

Kolar (forearm) didn't practice Thursday.

Kolar hasn't practiced in any fashion since fracturing his left forearm in a Sept. 20 loss to the Raiders and undergoing surgery two days later. The Chargers have avoided placing Kolar on injured reserve with the expectation that he'll return to action within four games, but he'll almost certainly miss a second straight contest this Sunday in Seattle.

Boerkircher (illness) did not practice Thursday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Boerkircher was added to the injury report due to an illness, though barring a setback, he should be good to go for the Week 4 meeting with the Bengals. The 25-year-old logged 89 offensive snaps combined in the first three weeks of the 2026 campaign, second to Brenton Strange (136) at the tight-end position. However, Boerkircher hasn't been productive, catching one pass (two targets) for nine yards during that span.

Goedert (knee) officially didn't practice Thursday.

Goedert has yet to practice since emerging from Week 2 with an MCL sprain in his right knee, and Friday's injury report may seal his fate for a second straight game after sitting out Monday's loss at Chicago. During that contest, the breakdown of offensive snaps among the Eagles' active tight ends was Johnny Mundt's 26 (of 50), followed by Zach Ertz's 19 and E.J. Jenkins' 13.

Ruckert (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.

Ruckert marked his second straight limited practice in preparation for Week 4. The 26-year-old likely suffered the knee injury in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Lions, when he hauled in five targets for 39 yards and a touchdown. If his status doesn't improve, the fifth-year pro could be in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Bears.
