  • E.J. Jenkins TE | PHI

Eagles' E.J. Jenkins: Elevated for Week 9

The Eagles elevated Jenkins from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Chris McPherson of the team's official site reports.

It's the third and final time Jenkins can be elevated by the Eagles this season, and Philadelphia would have to sign the 26-year-old tight end to the active roster following Sunday's game. With Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen) yet to return from IR, Jenkins will serve as the Eagles' No. 3 tight end behind Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll.

  • Shane Zylstra TE | DET

Lions' Shane Zylstra: Elevated for Week 9

The Lions elevated Zylstra from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

This is the third and final time that the Lions can elevate Zylstra from the practice squad this season. He'll serve as Detroit's No. 3 tight end Sunday against the Packers behind starter Sam LaPorta and backup Brock Wright.

  • Josh Whyle TE | GB

Titans' Josh Whyle: Late addition to injury report

Whyle was added to Tennessee's injury report Saturday due to an illness, and he's now questionable for Sunday's contest against New England, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Whyle's addition to the injury report one day before Sunday's contest puts his chance of suiting up in considerable question, though it's not clear how severe his ailment is. The tight end has had two of his better games this season over the past two weeks, totaling five catches on six targets for 67 yards during that span. Nick Vannett could see more opportunities behind No. 1 tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo on Sunday if Whyle doesn't play, and David Martin-Robinson could suit up after being a healthy scratch in every game so far this season.

  • Panthers' Jordan Matthews: Signed to Panthers' active roster

Carolina signed Matthews from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reported Saturday that Matthews was expected to be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, but the 2014 second-round pick has been signed to the 53-man roster instead. With Feleipe Franks (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against New Orleans and Tommy Tremble (back) listed as questionable, Matthews could see meaningful snaps on offense behind rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders and Ian Thomas.

  • Thomas Odukoya: Let go by Tennessee

The Titans waived Odukoya on Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Odukoya has been a healthy scratch for most of the regular season, and in his lone outing in Week 7 against the Bills, he played 19 snaps on special teams. Assuming he clears waivers, Odukoya could stick around in Tennessee on the practice squad or explore his options elsewhere.

  • Anthony Firkser: Headed to Kansas City

The Chiefs signed Firkser to the practice squad Saturday.

Firkser was released by the Jets on Thursday as he served mostly on special teams over the past three games. Firkser will now head to Kansas City and take the spot on the practice squad vacated by Peyton Hendershot, who was signed to the Chiefs' active roster Saturday following Jared Wiley's season-ending torn ACL.

  • Chiefs' Peyton Hendershot: Back on Chiefs' active roster

The Chiefs signed Hendershot from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Hendershot began the regular season on the Chiefs' active roster but was waived Sept. 16. He oped to stay in Kansas City on the practice squad, but he's back on the 53-man roster after rookie tight end Jared Wiley suffered a torn ACL during Friday's practice. Hendershot will serve as the Chiefs' No. 3 tight end behind Travis Kelce and Noah Gray.

  • Jared Wiley TE | KC

Chiefs' Jared Wiley: Placed on IR

The Chiefs placed Wiley (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Wiley suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Friday's practice. The rookie fourth-round pick will shift his attention toward being healthy for the 2025 season. The Chiefs signed Peyton Hendershot from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move.

  • Jared Wiley TE | KC

Chiefs' Jared Wiley: Tears ACL in practice

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Saturday that Wiley tore his ACL during Friday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

The rookie fourth-round pick has served as the Chiefs' No. 3 tight end behind starter Travis Kelce and backup Noah Gray. Wiley's rookie season will end after seven games, and he'll finish with one catch for seven yards. He'll turn his attention toward being fully healthy for the 2025 campaign.

  • Jordan Matthews: Set to be elevated for Sunday

The Panthers are expected to elevate Matthews from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Matthews was on the Panthers' active roster for the first two games of the regular season. He was released from the 53-man roster Sept. 17, but he opted to stay in Carolina on the practice squad. Matthews will provide depth at tight end Sunday, as Feleipe Franks (concussion) has been ruled out and Tommy Tremble (back) is listed as questionable.
