  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Unable to practice Wednesday

Goedert (hamstring) isn't participating in Wednesday's practice, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Goedert sat out Philadelphia's win over the Giants in Week 7, and he hasn't yet resumed practicing in any capacity since being forced out of the team's Week 6 win over Cleveland due to a hamstring issue. The standout tight end is trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game against the Bengals, and he'll only have two more chances to log some practice reps this week. Grant Calcaterra -- who secured his only catch for five yards last week -- will be in line to serve as the Eagles' primary pass-catching tight end Sunday if Goedert ends up missing a second straight game.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

    Bills' Dawson Knox: Not practicing

Knox missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury.

Knox appeared to have gotten hurt at one point in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Titans, but he nonetheless ended up playing 57 percent of snaps on offense. An absence this Sunday at Seattle likely would free up a few extra snaps for Dalton Kincaid, who was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a collarbone injury.

  • Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Limited in practice

Kincaid was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a collarbone injury.

His ability to practice in any capacity at the start of the week suggests Kincaid's injury probably isn't too serious and is unlikely to prevent him from playing this Sunday at Seattle. Fellow Bills tight end Dawson Knox (ankle) was held out of Wednesday's practice entirely, potentially opening the door for Kincaid to play a few more snaps than usual Week 8.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Officially questionable for Thursday

Hockenson (knee), who remains on the reserve/PUP list, is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Rams.

Hockenson will need to be added to the 53-man roster in order to be eligible to play Thursday, but the team hasn't yet committed to the standout tight end making his season debut Week 8. Given that Hockenson is working his way back from surgery to address ACL and MCL tears in his right knee, fantasy managers will need to be wary of the real possibility that he's worked in slowly even once cleared to play. The Vikings officially opened Hockenson's 21-day practice window Oct. 4, and he's been listed as a limited participant in every practice since.

  • Josiah Deguara TE | ARI

Jaguars' Josiah Deguara: Seeing minimal playing time

Deguara was on the field for three of the Jaguars' 61 snaps on offense and didn't draw a target in Sunday's 32-16 win over the Patriots.

Deguara has suited up in each of Jacksonville's last five games and has been limited to two receptions for 10 yards on two targets. He's played no more than 10 snaps on offense in either of those contests, but his involvement on the Jaguars' special-teams units could be enough for Jacksonville to keep him active on game days moving forward.

  • Luke Farrell TE | SF

Jaguars' Luke Farrell: No targets in Week 8

Farrell played 31 of the Jaguars' 61 snaps on offense and didn't draw a target in Sunday's 32-16 win over the Patriots.

After drawing either one or two targets from Weeks 2 through 5, Farrell has seen his already minimal role in the passing game disappear since top tight end Evan Engram returned from a hamstring injury Week 6. Farrell wasn't targeted in either of the past two contests, though he played double-digit snaps on both occasions thanks to his blocking skills.

  • Ross Dwelley TE | CAR

Falcons' Ross Dwelley: Not seeing much time on offense

Dwelley logged eight of the Falcons' 73 snaps on offense in Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Seahawks.

Dwelley and fellow backup tight end Charlie Woerner (11 snaps) saw limited playing time behind starter Kyle Pitts (55 snaps), a trend that's likely to persist moving forward, especially when the Falcons fall into a negative game script. Though he should continue to suit up on most game days due to his blocking skills and ability to contribute on special teams, Dwelley is unlikely to draw many looks in the passing game from quarterback Kirk Cousins. Dwelley has yet to earn a target through Atlanta's first seven contests.

  • Stone Smartt TE | PHI

Chargers' Stone Smartt: Hauls in 31-yard reception

Smartt played seven of the Chargers' 66 snaps on offense and recorded one reception for 31 yards on two targets in Monday's 17-15 loss to the Cardinals.

After failing to draw a target while playing just nine snaps on offense through the Chargers' first four games of the season, Smartt now has a reception in two straight contests. He's seen a slight uptick in playing time while Hayden Hurst (groin) missed all of Monday's game and most of the Week 6 win over the Broncos due to injury, but Smartt could see his snap counts take a hit once the Chargers' tight-end room is back to full strength.

  • Devin Culp TE | TB

Buccaneers' Devin Culp: Makes NFL debut

Culp played one of the Buccaneers' 82 snaps on offense and wasn't targeted in Monday's 41-31 loss to the Ravens.

With Payne Durham (calf) sitting out the Week 7 contest, Culp got the chance to make his NFL debut as the No. 3 tight end behind Cade Otton and Ko Kieft. Otton (80 snaps) dominated the playing time, leaving few snaps left over for either Culp or Kieft (six snaps). Culp will likely return to the inactive list Week 8 against the Falcons if Durham is able to play.

  • Ko Kieft TE | TB

Buccaneers' Ko Kieft: Seeing few snaps behind Otton

Kieft went without a target while playing six of the Buccaneers' 82 snaps on offense in Monday's 41-31 loss to the Ravens.

With Cade Otton dominating the snaps at tight end for the Buccaneers through the first seven weeks, Kieft nor the team's other depth options at the position have been able to carve out much playing time. Though Kieft has suited up in all seven of the Bucs' contests, the six snaps he played Monday represented a season high.
