  • Cole Kmet TE | CHI

Bears' Cole Kmet: Tending to hamstring issue

Kmet was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury.

Prior to Week 6 prep, Kmet was untouched by injury this season, allowing him to record a 23-231-3 receiving line on 29 targets in five games. With a health concern in tow, his activity level will be one to monitor as the week goes on to ensure it won't affect his availability for Sunday's contest against the Vikings. Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis are the other tight ends on the Bears' active roster.

  • Chargers' Donald Parham: Participates in practice

Parham (wrist) participated in Tuesday's practice with a brace on his right hand, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

Parham was forced out early versus the Raiders in Week 4 due to a sprained wrist, but his health appears to have improved coming out of the Chargers' Week 5 bye. Since the Chargers host the Cowboys on Monday in Week 6, the Chargers won't hold their first official practice of the week until Thursday, when the extent of Parham's participation will be known. If he's able to take full reps Thursday, he'll be poised to reprise his usual role Monday as the Chargers' No. 2 tight end.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Questionable for Thursday

Kelce (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Denver.

Kelce played through a low-ankle sprain Sunday in Minnesota en route to a 10-67-1 receiving line, but that doesn't automatically mean he'll be able to suit up again four days later. He practiced Tuesday in a limited capacity, with reporters who observed the session noting that Kelce's right ankle was heavily taped. If Kelce ends up inactive Thursday, Noah Gray will take on most of Kelce's usual snaps and routes, albeit without the certainty of target volume the eight-time Pro Bowler receives when on the field. Other potential beneficiaries in terms of additional routes and targets include tight end Blake Bell and nearly all of the team's wide receivers.

  • Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Logs limited practice Wednesday

Kincaid (concussion) was listed as a limited practice participant during Wednesday's walk-through session.

Fellow tight end Dawson Knox (wrist) was also limited Wednesday, making the statuses of both players worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Giants approaches. Prior to exiting the Bills' Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, Kincaid logged 32 snaps and caught both of his targets for 19 yards.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Starts week with limited practice

Knox (wrist) was a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Knox hurt his wrist in Buffalo's 25-20 loss to the Jaguars in London this past Sunday, but it's encouraging that he was back on the field in some capacity to begin Week 6 prep.Fellow tight end Dalton Kincaid (concussion) was also deemed a limited participant Wednesday. Buffalo's top two tight ends will both have two more opportunities to upgrade to full participation and shed their injury designations before the Bills host the Giants on Sunday.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Sits out first Week 6 practice

Njoku (face/hand) won't practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Njoku suffered burns to his face and hand Sept. 29, but he played through the injuries just two days later in the Browns' 28-3 loss to the Ravens in Week 4, registering a season-high six catches. Despite previously playing through the burns, Njoku is apparently still experiencing some discomfort coming out of Cleveland's Week 5 bye. Among those joining Njoku on the sideline Wednesday was quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder), though both key offensive starters will have two more opportunities to practice before the Browns host the 49ers on Sunday.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Giants' Darren Waller: Misses practice, day-to-day

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Waller won't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury and is day-to-day, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Waller is coming off a season-best effort during the Giants' loss to the Dolphins this past Sunday, when he secured eight of 11 targets for 86 yards. He appears to have picked up a groin injury in the process, but he'll have two more chances to get back on the practice field before the Giants play the Bills on Sunday. Quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) also missed practice Wednesday and is being labeled day-to-day.

  • Irv Smith TE | HOU

Bengals' Irv Smith: Not targeted in win

Smith failed to draw a single target in Sunday's 34-20 win over the Cardinals.

Smith was a complete non-factor Sunday despite playing 61 percent of the Bengals' offensive snaps. The veteran tight end missed Weeks 3 and 4 due to a hamstring injury, and he wasn't a part of Cincinnati's game plan in his return while star wideout Ja'Marr Chase earned 19 targets in the contest. In the three games he's played this season, Smith has totaled just five catches for 27 yards.

  • Greg Dulcich TE | MIA

Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Limited in Tuesday's walkthrough

Dulcich (hamstring) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough, Aric DiLilla of the team's official site reports.

The 21-day practice window for Dulcich to return from injured reserve opened just two days before Thursday's game against Kansas City, making it unlikely he'll be active for that contest. That said, coach Sean Payton told Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post that the tight end was close to gaining clearance to suit up. Dulcich will have one more chance to prove the health of his hamstring before the Broncos determine his availability for Week 6.

  • Travis Kelce TE | KC

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Officially limited Tuesday

Kelce (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Tuesday.

Prior to Tuesday's session, coach Andy Reid told Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site that Kelce was slated to take part in drills. During the media-access portion, Kelce was spotted with a heavy tape job on the sprained right ankle that he sustained Sunday at Minnesota. He was able to play through the issue en route to 10 catches (on 11 targets) for 67 yards and one touchdown, but it remains to be seen if he can put himself in a position to suit up Thursday against the Broncos. Wednesday's injury report will unveil whether or not Kelce has a designation ahead of that contest.
