  • Kelvin Harmon WR | DAL

    Kelvin Harmon: Cut by Cowboys

    Dallas waived Harmon on Tuesday.

Harmon signed with the Cowboys in late July while CeeDee Lamb was holding out for a contract extension. Harmon played in all three preseason games, registering five catches for 70 yards. The 2019 sixth-round pick will explore his next options should he clear waivers.

  • Dayton Wade WR | BAL

    Dayton Wade: Cut by Baltimore

Wade was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown during the preseason but it wasn't enough to land a roster spot. Wade signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in April after catching 55 passes for 830 yards and four touchdowns during his final collegiate season at Ole Miss.

  • Jalen Cropper: Let go by Dallas

The Cowboys waived Cropper on Tuesday.

Cropper spent all of 2023 on the Cowboys' practice squad. Sad Yousuf of The Athletic relayed Wednesday that Cropper had been one of the most consistent wide receivers during training camp. While Cropper accumulated five catches on 10 targets for 32 yards across three preseason games, it wasn't enough for him to stick around on the 53-man roster. Cropper could be invited back to Dallas to join the practice squad again, or he could explore his options elsewhere assuming he clears waivers.

  • CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL

Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Granted exempt status

The Cowboys were granted a two-game roster exemption for Lamb on Tuesday and have placed him on the commissioner's exempt list, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Lamb returned to practice Tuesday, one day after inking a lucrative four-year, $136 million contract extension with the Cowboys, though Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports the star wideout is currently limited to individual drills as he begins ramping up his activity level. Dallas' placement of Lamb on the exempt list, where he doesn't have to count against the 53-man roster, is simply a way for the team to better navigate Tuesday's cutdown deadline and not any indication that the No. 1 receiver is in danger of missing any action. Lamb can be activated at any time, and he still has just under two weeks left to get back into game shape prior to the Cowboys' Week 1 road matchup against the Browns on Sept. 8.

  • Giants' Isaiah McKenzie: Placed on season-ending IR

The Giants placed McKenzie (lower body) on injured reserve Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

New York opted not to designate McKenzie for return, meaning his placement on injured reserve is season-ending, barring an injury settlement. The veteran wideout reportedly suffered a knee laceration and a right foot injury during the Giants' final preseason game. His absence for the 2024 season will open up opportunities in the return game for other players on New York's roster, especially if Gunner Olszewski (groin) doesn't return to full health in quick fashion.

  • Ainias Smith WR | CAR

Eagles' Ainias Smith: Lands on IR, designated to return

The Eagles placed Smith (ankle/hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday and designated him to return, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

After being selected in the fifth round of April's NFL Draft, Smith came on strong late in training camp and tallied eight catches on 12 targets for 43 yards during the exhibition slate. However, he suffered an ankle injury during Philadelphia's preseason finale, and an MRI indicated that he'll likely need to miss four to six weeks. Under a new NFL rule, Philadelphia was able to leave Smith off the 53-man roster, place him on IR and designate him to return. He'll need to miss at least the Eagles' first four games of the regular season.

  • Braylon Sanders: Waived/injured by Miami

The Dolphins waived Sanders (lower body) with an injury designation Tuesday.

Since signing with Miami as an undrafted free agent in May of 2022, Sanders has spent most of his time on the Dolphins' practice squad, though he did appear in three regular-season games in 2022. Sanders accumulated two catches on 10 targets for 17 yards across the Dolphins' first two preseason games, but a lower-body injury kept him out of the preseason finale against the Buccaneers on Friday. Assuming he clears waivers, Sanders would revert to Miami's injured reserve and be forced to sit for the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached.

  • Mike Harley WR | MIA

Mike Harley: Let go by Miami

Harley was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday.

Harley was unable to earn a depth role in Miami's talented receiving corps after signing with the team early in training camp. The 26-year-old was an undrafted rookie in 2022 before spending time with the Browns, yet he failed to make it on to an active roster while in Cleveland. Harley will now hope to catch on with another team ahead of the 2024 season.

  • Erik Ezukanma WR | PHI

Erik Ezukanma: Let go by Miami

The Dolphins waived Ezukanma on Tuesday.

Ezukanma missed the first half of training camp due to a lingering neck injury from 2023, and he missed the Dolphins' final preseason game against the Buccaneers on Friday due to a foot injury. In his lone preseason outing, he posted five catches on seven targets for 65 yards against the Commanders on Aug. 17. Since being selected by Miami in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Ezukanma has played in just three regular-season games due to multiple injuries. Given his draft selection, he should receive interest from teams in need of wide receiver depth either on the roster or practice squad.

  • Kazmeir Allen RB | WAS

Kazmeir Allen: Let go by Washington

Allen was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.

Allen was unable to make the team despite the recent trade of Jahan Dotson, a relatively open receiver room behind Terry McLaurin and a Deebo Samuel comparison from Washington's offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury, almost a week ago. The wide receiver had four carries for 15 yards and one catch for 12 yards during the preseason.
