  • Zay Jones WR | HOU

Jaguars' Zay Jones: Ties for team lead in targets

Jones caught four of 10 targets for 54 yards and had one carry for 14 yards during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants.

The 27-year-old tied for the team lead in targets but finished fourth in yardage as QB Trevor Lawrence completed only 51 percent of his passes. Jones has at least three receptions in all six games he's played in this season, and in total this year he has 31 catches for 281 yards and one touchdown.

  • Alec Pierce WR | IND

Colts' Alec Pierce: Just three receptions

Pierce had three receptions for 37 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss at Tennessee.

Pierce has become a favorite target of Matt Ryan, but he didn't get many looks Sunday with the passing offense struggling. Ryan needed to check down to shorter targets while constantly under pressure, leading to nine targets for Michael Pittman in the slot and five for running back Nyheim Hines.

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Won't need surgery

Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Metcalf (knee) "does not need surgery," Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Metcalf was carted off the field during Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers, and in addition to his X-rays coming back negative, Carroll now says that Metcalf "hurt his patellar tendon some," per John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site, and even expressed a desire to practice Wednesday, though that may not be realistic. While a timetable for Metcalf's recovery remains unclear, he appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario.

  • Chase Claypool WR | BUF

Steelers' Chase Claypool: Logs five receptions Sunday

Claypool secured five of eight targets for 41 yards during the Steelers' 16-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Claypool was relatively quiet early in Sunday's primetime matchup, but he had three receptions late in the fourth quarter to help prop up his fantasy numbers. The 2020 second-rounder has been targeted at least six times in six of the first seven games of the season, but his efficiency has been inconsistent. He was outpaced in receiving yards by Pat Freiermuth, George Pickens and Diontae Johnson on Sunday and will continue to have somewhat limited upside as long as the rest of the Steelers' pass catchers are healthy.

  • 49ers' Ray-Ray McCloud: Scores first TD of career

McCloud hauled in all four targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-23 loss to Kansas City.

McCloud came out of nowhere to post his best offensive game as a professional. The 25-year-old didn't benefit from an injured starter nor a notable increase in playing time (25 percent of offensive snaps), so we have to write this off as a career game in unique circumstances. There's no reason to believe that the return specialist will produce these results moving forward. McCloud will continue to handle return duties and serve as the 49ers' fourth receiver on the depth chart against the Rams next Sunday.

  • Samori Toure WR | PHI

Packers' Samori Toure: Sees first NFL action

Toure hauled in his lone target and picked up four yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Commanders.

Toure suited up Sunday for the first time as a professional and was credited with a start, but he only saw one pass in his direction and finished fourth among Packers wideouts in offensive snaps. It remains to be seen what the Packers' receiving corps will look like next Sunday against the Bills, but it's unlikely Toure's role will get upgraded significantly.

  • Falcons' Olamide Zaccheaus: Modest production in loss

Zaccheaus caught three of four targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 35-17 loss to the Bengals.

Zaccheaus finished second on the team in targets and yards while tying Kyle Pitts with a team-high three receptions. Atlanta's passing attack has struggled to produce consistent fantasy options this season, but Zaccheaus has been Marcus Mariota's most reliable target, catching multiple passes and finishing with at least 20 receiving yards in each of the first seven games of the season. Regardless, Zaccheaus' fantasy potential likely remains limited in Arthur Smith's run-heavy offense.

  • Damiere Byrd WR | BUF

Falcons' Damiere Byrd: Catches first pass of season

Byrd caught his only target for 75 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 35-17 loss to the Bengals.

After being a healthy inactive for the first three games of the season, Byrd has appeared in four straight contests and garnered just one target in three of those appearances. However, he made the most of his only target against Cincinnati by burning the Bengals secondary for a 75-yard touchdown at the end of the second quarter, marking his first reception and touchdown of the 2022 campaign.

  • Amari Rodgers WR | IND

Packers' Amari Rodgers: Remains in bit role

Rodgers was targeted three times and caught two passes for 14 yards in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Commanders. He also returned two punts for 16 yards, fumbled twice and lost one of them.

The target, reception and yardage totals all set or tied career highs for Rodgers, who played around 30 percent of the snaps for a second straight week but again played only a small role in the offense. Even on a day when the Packers were down two wideouts and lost another mid-game, Rodgers finished fifth among Packers receivers with 16 offensive snaps, so he remains tough to trust from a fantasy perspective.

  • Russell Gage WR | SF

Buccaneers' Russell Gage: Set for MRI on hamstring

Gage (hamstring) will have an MRI to determine the severity of his injury Monday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Gage was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Panthers in the fourth quarter, so his status will need to be monitored ahead of Thursday's contest against the Ravens. It's possible that the fifth-year wideout aggravated the hamstring injury that hampered him during the first four weeks of the season. Coach Todd Bowles said Monday's he's currently uncertain about Gage's status for Week 8, per Greg Auman of The Athletic, but the receiver's MRI results should provide more information.
