  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Remains sidelined at practice

Thomas (foot) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.

Thomas continues to focus on rehab of the foot injury that forced him to sit out Weeks 4 and 5. While he has one more chance to make his presence felt in practice this week, the Saints could make a ruling on his availability for Sunday's game versus the Bengals after Friday's session. Jarvis Landry (ankle) also didn't practice Thursday, but rookie Chris Olave (concussion) returned in a limited capacity, so one of the team's top three wide receivers seems to be making a bid to play this weekend.

  • Zay Jones WR | HOU

Jaguars' Zay Jones: Another limited practice

Jones (ankle) remained limited at Thursday's practice.

After being inactive Week 4 due to an ankle issue, Jones was back in uniform for this past Sunday's loss to the Texans, en route to logging 60 snaps and catching three of his eight targets for 12 yards. After logging limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Jones probably will have to practice fully Friday to avoid a Week 6 injury designation, but so far there's been nothing to suggest that he's suffered any setbacks that would put his availability for this weekend's game against the Colts in danger.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Stays limited in practice

Robinson (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

With a pair of limited practices to kick off Week 6 prep, Robinson at least appears to have a better chance to play Sunday against the Ravens than either Kadarius Toney (hamstrings) or Kenny Golladay (knee), with both of those receivers having not practiced in any capacity Wednesday or Thursday. Even so, Robinson may need to upgrade to full participation Friday in order for the Giants to feel comfortable making him active this weekend after the rookie second-round pick missed each of the previous four contests. The depleted state of the Giants' receiving corps should leave plenty of reps available for Robinson if and when he's ultimately cleared to play again.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Officially limited Thursday

Olave (concussion) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Olave didn't join his teammates in drills Wednesday, officially going down as a DNP, but Underhill reported after the session that the rookie wide receiver was in the third stage of the protocol for head injuries. With Thursday's development, Olave has taken another step in his recovery, taking part in football-specific exercise during the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, according to Underhill. Olave will have a chance to bump to full participation Friday, but even if he doesn't he at least has put himself in a position to miss no time due to the concussion that he suffered this past Sunday versus the Seahawks.

  • Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Practices fully

Johnson (hip) returned to practice Thursday as a full participant, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

After being limited Wednesday, Johnson's ability to take every rep Thursday puts him on track to suit up for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Though Johnson, who scored eight touchdowns in 16 games last season, has yet to find the end zone through his first five games in 2022, the 26-year-old has retained a degree of fantasy utility while leading the Steelers with 28 catches and 267 receiving yards in that span.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Gets day off Thursday

Godwin (hip/knee) logged a veteran rest day Thursday.

On Wednesday, Godwin added a hip issue to his list of health concerns this season, practicing on a limited basis. After Thursday's day off, he'll aim to do enough at Friday's session to be cleared for game action. Even if he enters the weekend with a designation, though, there hasn't been any inkling that his status is in danger for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. As for the rest of the receiving corps, Julio Jones (knee) also didn't practice, Russell Gage (ankle) was limited, and Breshad Perriman (knee/hamstring) and Jaelon Darden (tooth) practiced in full Thursday, so the group as a whole seems to be a bit healthier than most weeks to date.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Giants' Kadarius Toney: Trending toward another absence

Toney (hamstrings) didn't practice Thursday, Darryl Slater of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

For the second day in a row, Toney was rehabbing under the supervision of the Giants' training staff while he works his way back from injuries to both of his hamstrings. The Giants won't give Toney an official designation for Sunday's contest against the Ravens until after Friday's practice, but the wideout doesn't appear to be a good bet to put an end to his three-game absence this weekend.

  • Panthers' Laviska Shenault: Doesn't practice again

Shenault (hamstring) did not participate during Thursday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Shenault did not practice for the second day in a row after missing Sunday's loss to the 49ers with a lingering hamstring injury. Now, unless he can work his way back onto the practice field Friday, the third-year wideout appears likely to sit out once again in Week 6. Shenault caught two passes for 90 yards and a touchdown over just 11 offensive snaps against the Saints in Week 3, though his production could be limited by Carolina's depleted quarterback position if he does play Sunday.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Not practicing again

Thomas (foot) wasn't on the field for the open portion of Thursday's practice and is expected to be listed as a non-participant, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Though Adam Schefter of ESPN reported over the weekend that Thomas was likely to return from a two-game hiatus to play Sunday against the Bengals, the wideout's continued absences from practice would seem to suggest otherwise. The Saints will wait until after Friday's session before providing an update on Thomas' status for the team's matchup with Cincinnati, but the 29-year-old will likely need to put in a full workout just to avoid taking a questionable designation into the weekend.

  • Rashod Bateman WR | BAL

Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Out for another practice

Bateman (foot) isn't practicing Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Bateman will sit out for the second consecutive day and will be missing his fifth consecutive practice overall while he continues to tend to the left foot injury that forced him out late in the Ravens' Week 4 loss to the Bills. He'll almost certainly need to get back on the field in some capacity Friday to have a legitimate shot at returning to action Sunday against the Giants. If Bateman can't go, the Ravens would be more likely to spread his vacated targets among their tight ends and running backs; Devin Duvernay was the only Baltimore wide receiver to draw more than two targets in last week's win over the Bengals.
