  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Another absence Sunday

Smith (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Smith has been tending to a shoulder injury since the Saints' preseason finale, missing both of the team's first two games of the campaign in the process. However, he practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday through Friday, so he may be closing in on his first action of the season. In the meantime, Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harty will be New Orleans' main depth options behind the top wide-receiver trio of Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave.

  • Panthers' Laviska Shenault: Healthy scratch Sunday

Shenault (coach's decision) will not play Sunday against the Giants, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Shenault was also inactive in Week 1, as the third-year wideout was a late addition to Carolina's roster and is still learning the playbook. He'll continue to work to get more familiar with the offense in practice this week with the hopes of suiting up in Week 3, when the Panthers host the Saints.

  • Shi Smith WR | KC

Panthers' Shi Smith: Available Week 2

Smith (groin) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The 23-year-old was added to the injury report with the groin issue Friday and was listed as questionable after sitting out practice, but he's been cleared to play Sunday in New York. He worked as Carolina's No. 3 wideout and played 76 percent of the offensive snaps in the season opener. Smith caught one of three targets for 12 yards in that contest, and he'll also operate as the team's primary punt returner going forward after Andre Roberts (knee) was placed on injured reserve.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: In uniform Sunday

Wilson (toe) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Though he approached the game listed as questionable, Wilson will give it a go Sunday and is in line to serve as Miami's No. 3 wide receiver behind clear-cut top options Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In that capacity in Week 1, Wilson logged 28 snaps while catching both of his targets for 20 yards in the Dolphins' 20-9 win over the Patriots.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Cleared to play Sunday

Perriman (knee) is active for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Perriman was limited in practice all week due to the knee injury, but he'll be ready to give it a go Sunday. Though the Buccaneers are missing Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) on Sunday, both Mike Evans (calf) and Russell Gage (hamstring) avoided the inactive list after being listed as questionable heading into the weekend. As a result, Perriman may still find himself third in the pecking order at wideout in New Orleans and likely represents little more than a speculative fantasy option.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Giants' Kadarius Toney: Active in Week 2

Toney (hamstring) is active for Sunday's contest against the Panthers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Toney was a late addition to New York's Week 2 injury report, having a cap on his reps both Thursday and Friday due to a hamstring injury. While rookie wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) was ruled out Friday, Toney will be given a chance to contribute to the team's receiving corps this weekend. Toney will be on the lookout for his first target for the campaign after taking two carries for 23 yards in Week 1 in Tennessee.

  • James Proche WR | TEN

    Ravens' James Proche: Officially inactive

Proche (groin) is inactive Sunday against the Dolphins.

Proche went into Sunday doubtful after missing practice Thursday and Friday. In his absence, Tylan Wallace will slide up to No. 4 on the team's wide receiver positional depth chart, although it's unlikely Wallace will see more than a handful of snaps on offense.

  • Russell Gage WR | SF

Buccaneers' Russell Gage: Suiting up Week 2

Gage (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Gage missed the Buccaneers' first practice of the week Wednesday and was limited Thursday and Friday, but the hamstring issue evidently isn't severe enough to keep him out for Week 2. With Chris Godwin's own hamstring injury set to keep him on the sideline this weekend, Gage projects to serve as the primary replacement in the slot. Meanwhile, Julio Jones (knee) is also inactive and Mike Evans (calf) is suiting up but is likely to draw coverage from the Saints' top corner, Marshon Lattimore, so Gage could have some sneaky fantasy value this week as a key underneath target for quarterback Tom Brady.

  • Jets' Braxton Berrios: Active against Cleveland

Berrios (heel) is active for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Berrios remained on the injury report despite consecutive full practices this week, but his "questionable" status won't prevent him from suiting up against the Browns. The return specialist -- who also caught five passes in the opener -- shouldn't have any limitations for the Week 2 matchup.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Good to go Sunday

Evans (calf) is active for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Evans was one of five Buccaneers receivers who took an injury designation into the weekend, but only Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) ended up on the inactive list. Since he managed only two limited practices this week, Evans' reps could be capped to some extent, though no reports have indicated as much. Even if Evans is a full go for Sunday's contest, he'll still likely find himself covered most of the afternoon by cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who limited the wideout to three receptions for 62 yards in their two matchups in 2021.
