  • Keelan Cole WR | LV

Raiders' Keelan Cole: Signed to active roster

The Raiders signed Cole to their active roster Wednesday.

Cole landed a practice-squad deal with Las Vegas after being released by the Raiders ahead of the 53-man roster deadline, but he now finds himself on the active roster after the team placed DJ Turner (ankle) on IR. Cole, an undrafted wideout out of Kentucky Wesleyan, has eclipsed 350 receiving yards in each of his first five NFL seasons, but it'll be difficult for him to garner many targets behind Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller.

  • James Proche WR | TEN

Ravens' James Proche: Dealing with groin injury

Proche (groin) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Proche played just five snaps during the season opener against the Jets, but it's unclear if his limited snaps were part of the game plan or due to his current groin injury. If he isn't upgraded to a full participant Thursday or Friday, the third-year wideout's status for Week 2 could be in jeopardy.

  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Still limited by shoulder

Smith (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Smith picked up a shoulder injury in the Saints' preseason finale and sat out the team's regular-season opener. His return to practice is an encouraging sign, but if he isn't upgraded to a full participant Thursday or Friday, he may be sidelined for a second straight game.

  • Allen Lazard WR | NYJ

Packers' Allen Lazard: Limited in return to practice

Lazard (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

Lazard's limited activity level in his first practice in roughly two weeks is no surprise as he continues to recover from getting his foot stepped on in an unofficial session. He'll have two more chances to jump up to full participation before the Packers will be required to give him a designation -- or not -- ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears.

  • Jets' Braxton Berrios: Limited at practice Wednesday

Berrios (heel) was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Berrios caught five of six targets for 37 yards and returned two punts for 30 yards during Sunday's season-opening loss to the Ravens. However, he presumably picked up a heel injury as well. The extent of the issue is unclear, but if he remains limited Thursday, his availability for Week 2 could be in doubt.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Limited with knee injury

Perriman was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a knee injury.

The Buccaneers are set to be without Chris Godwin (hamstring) for a few weeks, and the rest of the receiving corps is banged up at the moment, with Julio Jones (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring) sitting out Wednesday's practice and Mike Evans (calf) and Perriman having their reps capped. Perriman should see an elevated snap count during Godwin's absence, but the extent of his increased workload depends on who else is active Sunday at New Orleans and beyond.

  • Trent Taylor WR | SF

    Bengals' Trent Taylor: Misses practice

Taylor (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Taylor was questionable heading into Week 1 with the same injury, but he managed to suit up, and filled his role as the team's punt returner. Whether he can repeat that same feat in Week 2 will remain to be seen, with two more practices to go ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Sits out practice Wednesday

Godwin (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN.com, Godwin wasn't active during the media-access portion of the first session of Week 2 prep before going down as a non-participant on the injury report. Both Julio Jones (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring) joined Godwin on the sideline, while Mike Evans (calf) and Breshad Perriman (knee) were limited participants. Considering Godwin is expected to miss Sunday's game in New Orleans due to his hamstring injury and perhaps another week or two beyond that, the rest of the receiving corps stands to benefit on game days, assuming they're active.

  • Russell Gage WR | SF

    Buccaneers' Russell Gage: Doesn't practice

Gage missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury.

Gage, Julio Jones (knee) and Chris Godwin (hamstring) all missed practice, with Godwin all but certain to miss time after exiting the Week 1 win over the Cowboys early. Gage saw only two targets despite Godwin's early exit, perhaps still hampered by the hamstring injury that limited him for much of the summer and now has him absent from Wednesday's practice. Tampa Bay's injury reports will merit close watching throughout the rest of the week.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Tending to calf issue

Evans was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a calf injury.

While Chris Godwin's hamstring issue was already known as the Buccaneers navigate Week 2 prep, Evans joined him on the injury report with a health concern of his own. All of Godwin, Julio Jones (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, while Evans and Breshad Perriman (knee) were able to mix into individual drills. Due to all the injuries in the receiving corps, the status of Evans and company is worth watching as Sunday's game at New Orleans approaches.
