Cedrick Wilson Jr. WR | DET
Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Wilson (toe) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Wilson secured both of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's season opener, but he presumably picked up a toe injury as well. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but if he isn't upgraded to a full participant Thursday or Friday, his status for Week 2 could be in serious jeopardy.

Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Officially limited Wednesday
Gallup (knee) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Like he did during Week 1 prep, Gallup was contained to individual drills in the first session of Week 2. Head coach Mike McCarthy told Gehlken on Wednesday that Gallup "might do some group stuff" on the field this week, but that will have to wait until Thursday and/or Friday. Gallup is closing in on completing his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered in his left knee Jan. 2, but it's not yet clear whether or not game action is possible this Sunday against the Bengals. If he suits up, he won't be on the receiving end of passes from Dak Prescott (thumb), as Cooper Rush will be filling in for the franchise signal-caller for the foreseeable future.
-
Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Limited with quad injury
Pittman was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a quadriceps injury.
It's likely a minor injury, considering he was able to practice in some capacity and played 98 percent of the Colts' offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-20 tie with the Texans. While Pittman likely will be OK for this weekend's game in Jacksonville, the status of fellow wideout Alec Pierce (concussion) is up in the air, potentially giving Ashton Dulin an opportunity to fill in as the No. 3 receiver.

Velus Jones Jr. RB | SEA
Bears' Velus Jones: Back at practice Wednesday
Jones (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.
Jones was unable to practice at all during Week 1 prep and ultimately didn't play this past Sunday against the 49ers. As such, his ability to get on the field Wednesday is a step in the right direction as he attempts to put a hamstring injury behind him. The rookie third-round pick has two more opportunities to bump up to full activity before the Bears potentially give him a designation for this weekend's game at Green Bay.

James Washington WR | ATL
Cowboys' James Washington: Spotted doing rehab work
Washington (foot) took part in rehab work while the Cowboys practiced Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Working his way back from a broken foot, Washington is on injured reserve and has thus been ruled out for the first four games of the season. He seems to be making progress and could be available in October, though at that point he'll likely have missed his chance to take the field without competing against Michael Gallup (knee) for targets.

DeAndre Carter WR | CLE
Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Should be involved again
Carter is expected to serve as the Chargers' No. 3 receiver Thursday against Kansas City with Keenan Allen (hamstring) ruled out for the contest.
Carter stepped up after Allen's departure from the season-opening win over Las Vegas, catching three of four targets for 64 yards and a touchdown to outproduce both Mike Williams and Joshua Palmer. Those two played at least three-fourths of offensive snaps, however, while Carter finished at 37 percent. Now on his fifth team in five seasons, Carter has enjoyed flashes of deep-league fantasy relevance but hasn't yet reached even 300 receiving yards in a single season.
-
Josh Palmer WR | BUF
Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Primed for key role
Palmer could have a heightened role in the Chargers' passing attack Thursday against the Chiefs with teammate Keenan Allen (hamstring) ruled out for the contest.
Palmer profiles as the Chargers' No. 2 receiver in a game with one of the highest expected point totals of Week 2. He managed just five receiving yards on four targets in a 24-19 win over Las Vegas in Week 1, but Palmer's 75 percent snap share in the contest was third-largest of his career. The Chargers used Palmer as their No. 2 receiver and DeAndre Carter as the No. 3 after Allen was injured last week, while Jalen Guyton barely got off the bench (five snaps).
-
Wan'Dale Robinson WR | TEN
Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Sits out practice
Robinson (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Head coach Brian Daboll said Robinson is day-to-day after an early exit from Sunday's win over the Titans, though Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com notes that the wide receiver has a brace over his knee and appears likely to miss some time. If so, candidates to see extra snaps include Richie James, Kadarius Toney and David Sills.
-
Keenan Allen WR | IND
Chargers' Keenan Allen: Ruled out for Thursday's game
Allen (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Chiefs.
Allen will thus target a potential return to action Week 3, when the Chargers face the Jaguars on Sept. 25. In Allen's absence Thursday, Mike Williams, Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter are in line to lead the team's wideout corps.
-
Shi Smith WR | KC
Panthers' Shi Smith: Set to take over punt-return duties
Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said Wednesday that Smith will operate as the team's primary punt returner while Andre Roberts (knee) is on injured reserve, Schuyler Callihan of SI.com reprots.
Roberts was diagnosed with a PCL sprain and will be forced to miss at least four games after landing on IR, leaving Smith to take over as the punt returner and Chuba Hubbard to handle kick returns. Smith didn't return any punts as a rookie, but his skill set figures to fit the position well.
