Nico Collins WR | HOU
Texans' Nico Collins: Two catches in Week 1
Collins brought in two of three targets for 26 yards in the Texans' 20-20 overtime tie with the Colts on Sunday.
Collins drew the start alongside Brandin Cooks, but he was able to deliver only modest numbers overall. The second-year wideout has the talent to make an impact in the offense over the course of the season while developing alongside fellow sophomore Davis Mills, but a Week 2 surge may be an uphill battle with a road matchup against the Broncos on tap next Sunday.

Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Shows off rushing prowess
Samuel rushed eight times for 52 yards and a touchdown while catching just two of eight targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Bears. He also lost a fumble.
There were rough weather conditions at Soldier Field for both teams' passing attacks, but Samuel's dual-positionality allowed him to still provide his fantasy managers with a strong line. Trey Lance struggled to get on the same page with his strongest offensive weapon left standing following the early loss of Elijah Mitchell (knee) and the inability of George Kittle (groin) to suit up. Samuel could continue to get heavy run at both of his positions if Mitchell's knee injury is confirmed to be a long-term one. Standing sturdy with a 6-foot, 215-pound frame, the fantasy superstar has the build to handle such a workload. Despite the 49ers' underwhelming 2022 debut, Samuel's fantasy managers have to feel good heading into a home matchup against the Seahawks next Sunday.

Russell Gage WR | SF
Buccaneers' Russell Gage: Modestly involved in Week 1 win
Gage brought in both targets for 13 yards in the Buccaneers' 19-3 win over the Cowboys on Sunday night.
Gage's team debut was a quiet one overall, but of overriding importance was the fact the veteran made it through the game without setbacks after having missed multiple weeks with a hamstring issue. Gage should enjoy an expanded role as the season unfolds and he gets acclimated to working with Tom Brady, and he could see a boost in workload as early as next Sunday's Week 2 divisional clash against the Saints if Chris Godwin isn't able to play due to the hamstring injury that forced his early exit from Sunday night's contest.
-
Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Touchdown grab in Week 1 win
Evans brought in five of seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 19-3 win over the Cowboys on Sunday night.
Evans paced the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night and capped off his solid fantasy effort with an impressive diving, one-handed, five-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter. The multi-time Pro Bowler projects for an expansive role once again this season, but he could see even more work than usual in a Week 2 road matchup against the Saints next Sunday if fellow wideout Chris Godwin, who exited in the second quarter with a hamstring issue, can't suit up.
-
Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Ruled out with hamstring injury
Godwin (hamstring) will miss the remainder of Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
Godwin was evaluated at halftime and deemed out for the rest of the game. It's unclear whether this injury was related in any way to his recovery from a torn ACL, as Godwin came back from that injury earlier than expected. Godwin's absence should pave the way for Russell Gage and Julio Jones to see more playing time alongside Mike Evans. The next chance for Godwin to play will come in Week 2 against the NFC South rival Saints.
-
Robert Woods WR | PIT
Titans' Robert Woods: Nearly invisible in Titans debut
Woods caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Giants.
The veteran receiver was brought in to replace A.J. Brown as the Titans' No. 1 option in the passing game, but Woods failed to show much chemistry with Ryan Tannehill in his first game with his new club. Rookies Treylon Burks and, surprisingly, fifth-round pick Kyle Philips both had much stronger performances, but Woods will likely need to show up in Week 2 as Tennessee travels to Buffalo for a Monday night clash.
-
Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Titans' Treylon Burks: Solid showing in NFL debut
Burks caught three of five targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Giants.
The 18th overall pick in the 2022 Draft flashed his upside in his NFL debut, and Burks had two receptions of 20 or more yards -- both of which helped set up Tennessee touchdowns. Surprisingly, fifth-round pick Kyle Philips wound up being the Titans' leading receiver, but Burks figures to take on that mantle soon enough, perhaps as soon as Monday night in a Week 2 clash with the Bills.
-
Justin Watson WR | HOU
Chiefs' Justin Watson: Doesn't return to Sunday's game
Watson suffered a chest injury during Sunday's win over the Cardinals, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Watson failed to secure his lone target during Sunday's season opener, and he was unable to return to the game after sustaining a chest injury during the second half. His availability for Thursday's matchup against the Chargers isn't yet clear.
-
Sterling Shepard WR | NYJ
Giants' Sterling Shepard: Finds end zone in Week 1
Shepard caught two of four targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-20 win over the Titans.
With the Giants down 13-6 in the third quarter, Shepard got free deep and hauled in a 65-yard TD pass from Daniel Jones. That was enough to lead the Giants in receiving, as no other New York player reached 60 yards. Shepard hasn't stayed healthy enough to reach 100 targets in a season since 2018, but he saw more volume in Week 1 than Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney combined, and the veteran could prove to be the team's most reliable option at wideout in 2022.
-
Greg Dortch WR | BUF
Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Surprising leading receiver Sunday
Dortch caught seven of nine targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 44-21 loss to Kansas City.
The 24-year-old came into the game with only three career receptions in seven NFL games, but Dortch wound up leading the Cardinals in catches, targets and receiving yards. He took full advantage of the absences of DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) and Rondale Moore (hamstring), and while Marquise Brown should be Kyler Murray's top target in the long run, Dortch could supply some surprising production in the early part of the year until Arizona's receiving corps is closer to full strength.
