  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Vikings' Adam Thielen: Agrees to restructure deal

Thielen (ankle) is slated to restructure his contract with the Vikings, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.

Thielen's restructure is expected to lower his 2022 cap hit, possibly by converting a portion of his salary to a signing bonus. The veteran wideout is recovering from ankle surgery that he underwent in late December, but he is expected to be ready for spring workouts. By all accounts, Thielen is primed to play out his age-32 season in Minnesota as the No. 2 wideout alongside Justin Jefferson, and his restructured deal could make it easier for the team to maneuver in free agency.

  • Robbie Chosen WR | WAS

    Panthers' Robby Anderson: Restructures contract

Anderson agreed to restructure his contract with the Panthers on Friday, creating $5.9 million in cap space, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

To do so, Carolina converted $11.8 million of Anderson's salary into a signing bonus. Anderson, who is heading into his age-29 season and is approaching the final year of his deal with the Panthers, is currently staring down a developing quarterback situation. With just Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker currently holding down the fort in Carolina's quarterback room, it seems all but certain that the team will explore more options for the 2022 season.

  • 49ers' Ray-Ray McCloud: Lands with San Francisco

McCloud signed a two-year contract with the 49ers on Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

McCloud was a key contributor for the Steelers in 2021. He regularly served as the team's third receiver and managed to haul in a career-best 39 passes for 277 yards. His role as a pass catcher is likely to dwindle in San Francisco as he will slot in behind at least Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk on the depth chart while also battling for targets with tight end George Kittle. As a result, McCloud's primary value could come as a punt returner, as he led the NFL with 367 punt return yards in 2021.

  • Byron Pringle WR | WAS

Bears' Byron Pringle: New home in Chicago

The Bears and Pringle agreed to a contract Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

As often happens following coach or general manager hirings, new GM Ryan Poles is bringing a player from his previous team to his new one. Pringle is on the heels of his best campaign by a long shot, as he reeled in 42 of 60 passes for 568 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games with the Chiefs last season. He'll slot in as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Darnell Mooney for the time being in Chicago.

  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Raiders' Davante Adams: Dealt to Vegas

The Packers traded Adams to the Raiders for two draft picks in the 2022 NFL Draft on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

A week and a half removed from receiving the franchise tag from the Packers, Adams suddenly finds himself on the move. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Adams will sign a new contract with the Raiders for five years, $141.25 million as he reunites with Derek Carr, his college quarterback at Fresno State. Adams is coming off a six-year stretch in which he surpassed 1,000 yards receiving three times and hit double-digit touchdowns on five occasions. As for the Packers, they'll receive Las Vegas' 2022 first- and second-round picks as compensation, per Schefter.

  • Bears' Equanimeous St. Brown: Expected to sign with Bears

St. Brown is expected to sign a contract with the Bears on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

St. Brown had a career-low mark in receiving yards last year, as he secured nine of 17 targets for 98 yards while rushing three times for 14 yards. The Bears lost Allen Robinson via free agency during the offseason, so St. Brown should have a chance to carve out a role behind Darnell Mooney in a re-tooling Chicago wideout corps.

  • Malik Taylor WR | DET

Packers' Malik Taylor: Tendered by Packers

The Packers tendered Taylor as an exclusive rights free agent Wednesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Taylor finished the 2021 campaign on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury, but he should be healthy heading into offseason activities. He made 10 appearances for Green Bay last year but didn't have a significant role in the passing game, as he hauled in just two of three targets for 14 yards.

  • Allen Robinson WR | DET

Rams' Allen Robinson: Joining Rams on three-year deal

Robinson is signing a three-year contract with the Rams, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Pelissero's initial report puts the deal at $46.5 million -- a $15.5 average annual value -- with nearly two-thirds of the money guaranteed at signing ($30.7 million). Robinson may have had offers with larger AAVs from other teams, but the reigning champs enticed him with the chance to play for a ring as well as the strong contract guarantees. Plus, he'll work with an above-average starting QB for the first time in his career, though this does mean Robinson will be the second or third receiving option, behind Cooper Kupp and possibly Robert Woods (knee). Of course, Woods is no lock to be ready for Week 1, and this deal might also shut the door on Odell Beckham (knee) returning to Los Angeles. Robinson turns 29 in August, and he had back-to-back seasons with over 1,100 yards before crashing in 2021 with 410 yards in 12 games.

  • Patriots' Ty Montgomery: Joining Patriots

Montgomery is signing a two-year deal with the Patriots, independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman reports.

Montgomery may provide depth behind passing-down back James White, who was re-signed earlier this week, or he could see more of his work at wide receiver. Either way, the versatile 29-year-old isn't likely to have a big role, with any fantasy value likely requiring injuries ahead of him.

  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

    Bills' Cole Beasley: Heading elsewhere

Beasley is set to be released by the Bills, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

The writing was already on the wall here, as the player and team seemed to have a falling out that got worse over time and the Bills gave him permission to seek a trade earlier this month, something that never materialized. Beasley is still as shifty as anyone on short, middle-of-the-field routes, so he'll make a good pickup for the right team. Meanwhile, Gabriel Davis' star continues to brighten.
