Quez Watkins WR | IND
Eagles' Quez Watkins: Doesn't get on stat sheet Thursday
Watkins failed to bring in his only target in the Eagles' 35-0 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday night.
Watkins recorded a 79-yard touchdown grab in the Eagles' preseason opener against the Steelers, but he couldn't replicate that success Thursday. The second-year wideout is fighting to move up the Eagles' crowded receiver depth chart, but he'll likely need a strong showing in the preseason finale against the Jets on Friday, Aug. 27 to have a shot at the No. 5 receiver role he's vying for.

Jalen Reagor WR | MIA
Eagles' Jalen Reagor: Minimal production Thursday
Reagor secured one of three targets for five yards in the Eagles' 35-0 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday night. He also returned two kickoffs for 37 yards.
Reagor has been drawing rave reviews of late for his work in training camp practices, but he was unable to translate much of that strong play to the field Thursday despite playing a solid chunk of the first half. However, it's worth noting Reagor didn't get a chance to play with Jalen Hurts, who was a late scratch due to an illness Thursday night. Meanwhile, Reagor made more of a contribution in the return game, although it remains to be seen how much work he'll get in that area once the regular season begins.

N'Keal Harry TE | SEA
Patriots' N'Keal Harry: Seen in sling
Harry (undisclosed) was seen leaving Lincoln Financial Field in a sling following Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.
Harry left the contest late in the first half after laying out in an attempt to make a catch deep down the field. He landed hard on his left shoulder, though the team has yet to provide any information on his status. That Harry was wearing a sling confirms that the injury was to his upper body, though more information should emerge in the coming days.

DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Pair of grabs in pro debut
Smith (knee) secured two of four targets for 19 yards in the Eagles' 35-0 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday night.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner just returned to team drills Tuesday after dealing with an MCL sprain and jumped into his first taste of NFL game action just 48 hours later. Smith didn't get an opportunity to work with Jalen Hurts, who was a late scratch due to an illness, but he was still able to benefit from playing with a very experienced signal-caller in Joe Flacco. Given he was able to suit up Thursday, Smith should have a chance to get some playing time with Hurts during the Eagles' preseason finale against the Jets a week from Friday.

Jakobi Meyers WR | JAC
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Connects with Cam in win
Meyers brought in all three targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' 35-0 preseason win over the Eagles on Thursday night.
Half of Meyers' yardage came on a 28-yard first-quarter touchdown grab in conjunction with Cam Newton. Meyers has been impressing throughout camp, and the NC State product appears set for another prominent role in the air attack again this season despite the offseason additions of Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne.

Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Giants' Kadarius Toney: Likely DNP on Sunday
Toney (undisclosed) is unlikely to play in Sunday's preseason contest in Cleveland, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
The Giants held a joint practice with the Browns on Thursday and will do so again Friday, but during the first session Toney worked on the side with the training staff, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger. Coach Joe Judge later told Paul Schwartz of the New York Post that Toney wouldn't be a part of any drills in the two practices, and the rookie first-round receiver now is slated to have his pro debut delayed further. Assuming he sits out this weekend, Toney will have one more chance (Sunday, Aug. 29 against the Patriots) to play in a game before Week 1.

N'Keal Harry TE | SEA
Patriots' N'Keal Harry: Hits locker room early
Harry (undisclosed) went to the locker room late in the first half of Thursday's preseason contest at Philadelphia, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.
Harry laid out and was unable to haul in a pass from Mac Jones, after which he landed hard on his left shoulder and remained on the turf for a spell. Following a brief visit to the sideline medical tent, Harry went to the locker room with the medical staff. The nature of his injury hasn't been divulged, but if he's unable to return he'll finish preseason Week 2 with one catch (on two targets) for 19 yards.

John Hightower WR | LAC
Eagles' John Hightower: Likely to play Thursday
Hightower (groin) is in uniform ahead of Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Hightower sustained a groin injury during practice in early August and was held out of the preseason opener against the Steelers. The 25-year-old should be available to make his preseason debut Thursday as he competes for a spot on the 53-man roster.

DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Likely to play Thursday
Smith (knee) is in pads prior to Thursday's preseason game versus the Patriots, suggesting he'll make his pro debut, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
As John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported earlier Thursday, Smith is slated to "get some plays" after tending to an MCL sprain in his left knee for the bulk of training camp. Smith missed two and half weeks due to the injury, but he got back on the practice field Monday and was in team drills Tuesday, setting him up for an appearance Thursday. The 2021 10th overall pick will work with the first-team offense, as he did to kick off camp in late July.

Tyler Lockett WR | LV
Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Back in team drills
Lockett (groin) mixed into team drills during Thursday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
The development doesn't mean Lockett is entirely past the groin injury that forced him out of recent on-field work, but he could be setting himself up to make an appearance in the preseason, perhaps as early as Saturday versus the Broncos. None the Seahawks' first-team skill-position players got on the field in their first exhibition, making this weekend the best shot for Lockett and company to suit up.
