Cornell Powell WR | PIT
Chiefs' Cornell Powell: Buried on depth chart
Powell is listed as a fifth-string wideout on the Chiefs' initial depth chart release, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Powell was selected in the fifth round of this year's draft, which Goldman suggests may not prevent him from being a roster casualty if things don't pick up. That being said, it's still fairly early in camp and there is plenty of time for things to change. At the very least, Powell doesn't appear to be in a good spot to earn many reps as a rookie and may be competing just to hang on to a roster spot instead.

Rashod Bateman WR | BAL
Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Diagnosed with soft-tissue injury
Bateman suffered a soft-tissue injury of unknown severity at Tuesday's practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
While running a slant route Tuesday, Bateman tumbled to the ground and walked to the sideline with a visible limp. Fortunately for the rookie first rounder, he didn't suffer any structural damage, meaning a period of rest and rehab likely is in his future. The Ravens' receiving corps is pretty banged up at the moment, with Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin also tending to hamstring issues.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Listed as backup for now
Waddle is listed as a backup on the Dolphins' first depth chart of the season, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Waddle is listed behind entrenched starters DeVante Parker and Will Fuller (suspension/foot) in addition to Albert Wilson, who opted out of the 2020 season. Wilson is an experienced slot playmaker who could certainly contribute on offense if he's retained his explosiveness heading into his age-29 season, but Waddle's status as a first-round pick should let him find his way into the starting lineup sooner rather than later. As Mark Inabinett of AL.com reports, Waddle recently said his surgically repaired right ankle feels "totally back to normal." Both Waddle and Wilson have drawn positive reviews through the early portion of training camp.

Amari Cooper WR | LV
Cowboys' Amari Cooper: Removed from PUP list
Cooper (ankle) has been removed from the PUP list, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Per the report, the move doesn't ensure that Cooper will immediately re-join practice, but in any case, the wideout is expected to be ready for the team's regular-season opener, Jon Machota of The Athletic notes. It remains to be seen if/when Cooper will suit up for any preseason action, but Gehlken relayed Tuesday that the pass catcher is "considered to be in great shape" at this stage.

Rashod Bateman WR | BAL
Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Limps off Tuesday
Bateman limped off the field early at Tuesday's practice, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Bateman pulled up while running a slant and fell to the ground, then walked off the practice field with a noticeable limp. Last week, the rookie first-round pick missed a bit of time due to muscle tightness. Fellow wideouts Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin are still nursing hamstring injuries, leaving Baltimore's receiving corps short-handed.
-
Marquise Goodwin WR | CLE
Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Foot soreness an issue
Coach Matt Nagy said Tuesday that Goodwin is managing foot soreness, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Goodwin has always had trouble staying on the field in his NFL career, with 37 missed games to date, so the Bears will likely take a cautious approach to his recovery. A strong summer would go a long way toward Goodwin earning consistent reps in Chicago's offense, but if he's not back to full health in time for Chicago's preseason opener against the Dolphins on Saturday, the veteran speedster could end up watching from the sidelines.

Gary Jennings WR | LAC
Colts' Gary Jennings: Reverts to injured reserve
Jennings (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve Monday after he went unclaimed on waivers, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Jennings was waived/injured by the Colts on Sunday due to an unspecified issue, but he'll remain in the organization on IR. The 24-year-old has appeared in just one NFL game since he was drafted by Seattle in the fourth round in 2019.
-
Josh Reynolds WR | NYJ
Titans' Josh Reynolds: Listed as starter
Reynolds was listed as a starter on the team's first official depth chart of the season, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
Reynolds was sidelined by an undisclosed injury in early August, though he's since returned to log several consecutive practice sessions. Apparently that was enough to keep him in a starting spot on the depth chart, alongside Julio Jones (undisclosed) and A.J. Brown. Reynolds should be in line to command the third-highest target total on the team this season, though that still may not translate to enough volume for him to perform consistently on a weekly basis.
-
Nelson Agholor WR | BAL
Patriots' Nelson Agholor: Not much work in return to practice
Agholor (undisclosed) was limited in practice Monday, Andrew Callahan of Boston Herald reports.
Agholor got the day off Sunday due to an unknown injury, but upon his return one day later he was "virtually invisible in team periods," per Callahan. With just three days to go before the Patriots' preseason opener Thursday against Washington, Agholor doesn't seem like a candidate to suit up, with his health for Week 1 in mind. His absence opens up reps for the likes of Kendrick Bourne and N'Keal Harry alongside starter Jakobi Meyers.

Jauan Jennings WR | MIN
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Back from COVID list
Jennings (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Jennings is now back at practice after landing on the COVID list in late July. The 24-year-old spent time on San Francisco's practice squad last year after going undrafted out of Tennessee.
