  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Top receiver in preseason finale

Marshall (knee) caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets.

Marshall was sidelined by a knee injury for most of the preseason but made a strong case for a spot on Philadelphia's 53-man roster by leading the team in catches and receiving yards in Friday's preseason finale. The 2021 second-round pick of the Panthers is competing for a depth role with the Eagles. Marshall's chances of making the team got a boost this week when fellow wideout Johnny Wilson (knee) was placed on IR.

  • Tai Felton WR | MIN

Vikings' Tai Felton: Sits Friday due to soreness

Felton (arm) did not play in Friday's preseason game against the Titans, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Felton exited practice Wednesday with what looked to be a minor arm injury. Coach Kevin O'Connell noted that Felton was still sore Friday but confirmed that the injury isn't serious. Felton's health ahead of a Week 1 matchup against the Bears takes on added importance given the suspension of Jordan Addison and the uncertain status of Jalen Nailor (hand).

  • Eagles' John Metchie: One catch in preseason finale

Metchie caught one of two targets for 14 yards in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets.

Metchie made his Eagles debut after being acquired in a trade from the Texans on Sunday. With Philadelphia's preseason now concluded, Metchie is set to begin the regular season in a depth role, though Jahan Dotson didn't do much last season to cement himself as the No. 3 wide receiver behind A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (groin).

  • Van Jefferson WR | TEN

Titans' Van Jefferson: Big catch against Minnesota

Jefferson recorded three receptions on three targets for 102 yards and one touchdown in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.

Jefferson started as an outside receiver with Calvin Ridley being rested. Jefferson showed rapport with Cameron Ward on the team's second possession, catching a 17-yard out on the left sideline. He then scored from 65 yards away after catching a short pass from Brandon Allen by making a defender miss before racing down the sideline. Jefferson looks to be a starter heading into Tennessee's Week 1 matchup against Denver, but he'll likely rotate some snaps with rookie Elic Ayomanor.

  • Titans' Tyler Lockett: Brief look to end preseason

Lockett did not record a catch on one target in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.

Lockett technically didn't start the game because the Titans opened with two receivers, but he was targeted by Cameron Ward on the second play of the contest. That was Lockett's only appearance in the box score, and he ends the preseason with only one catch. Lockett looks to be Tennessee's primary slot receiver heading into a Week 1 matchup against the Broncos.

  • Elic Ayomanor WR | TEN

Titans' Elic Ayomanor: Flashes playmaking ability again

Ayomanor recorded three receptions on three targets for 25 yards in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.

Calvin Ridley didn't play in the contest, allowing Ayomanor to start as an outside receiver. Ayomanor continued to flash rapport with Cameron Ward, hauling in receptions of 13 and six yards -- the latter of which brought the Titans inside the Vikings' one-yard line. He also played ahead of fellow rookie Chimere Dike, which likely sets up Ayomanor to be the third outside receiver after Ridley and Van Jefferson to begin the regular season.

  • CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL

Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Not slated to suit up Friday

Lamb isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason contest against the Falcons, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Lamb thus won't see any exhibition action ahead of the Cowboys' season opener Thursday, Sept. 4 at Philadelphia. Since he was selected in the first round of the 2020 Draft, he has four 1,000-yard campaigns under his belt, three of which he also surpassed 100 catches and averaged nine TDs per year in those seasons. Such output makes him a consensus first-round pick in the vast majority of fantasy drafts.

  • Jalen Tolbert WR | DAL

Cowboys' Jalen Tolbert: Not suited up Friday

Tolbert isn't dressed ahead of Friday's preseason game against the Falcons, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The Cowboys are keeping QB Dak Prescott on the sideline in their exhibition finale and seem poised to do the same with a number of key players. Tolbert's inclusion in that group isn't much of a surprise considering he's the clear-cut No. 3 WR behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. A 2022 third-round pick,Tolbert is coming off his best campaign as a pro in which he put together a 49-610-7 line on 79 targets in 17 regular-season games in 2024.

  • Jaden Smith WR | TB

    Jaden Smith: Waived/injured by Buccaneers

Tampa Bay waived Smith (undisclosed) on Friday with an injury designation, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Smith will be set to revert to season-ending IR if he goes unclaimed on waivers. The nature and severity of the 6-foot-6 former Nevada standout's injury remain undisclosed, but if he does revert to IR, the only way Smith will be eligible to play in 2025 is by reaching an injury settlement with the Buccaneers.

  • A.J. Brown WR | PHI

Eagles' A.J. Brown: Running routes pre-game

Brown (hamstring) went through a pregame workout Friday, John Clark of NBC Philadelphia reports.

Brown has been managing a hamstring injury since the first week of August, with no indication so far that it's considered a threat to his Week 1 availability. Fantasy managers will feel much better if he returns to full practice participation soon, but Friday's video of the pregame workout suggests Brown's hamstring is feeling much better, running routes and catching passes at close to full speed.
