Austin signed to the Saints' practice squad Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Austin returned to the team's practice squad after being cut by the Saints on Tuesday. The 26-year-old played in the first four games of the regular season for New Orleans, catching his lone target for seven yards.

Evans (Achilles) wasn't present for the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Evans has yet to practice since aggravating his right Achilles during Monday's win against the Commanders, which forced him out just before halftime of that contest. Coach Kyle Shanahan called the injury "soreness" afterward, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, and at the same time he said he doesn't believe the wide receiver has a long-term injury. Evans doesn't need to practice in order to make himself available on game day, but Friday's injury report will reveal if he has a chance to play Sunday in Atlanta.

Mitchell (finger) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

After sitting out the Jets' last four games due to a finger injury he ultimately addressed with surgery, Mitchell has been back on the field as a limited participant for the team's first two Week 7 practice sessions. Given the length of his absence, Mitchell may need to upgrade to full participation Friday in order to avoid taking an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Prior to getting hurt, Mitchell had been operating as the Jets' No. 2 receiver and logged a 9-123-0 receiving line on 15 targets through the team's first two contests.

Egbuka (concussion/foot) was deemed a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Egbuka is fighting an uphill battle ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers after being unable to log any practice activity Wednesday or Thursday. The 2025 first-round pick was spotted working with trainers on a side field Thursday as he works his way through the concussion protocol. Egbuka would need to clear the protocol to suit up Sunday, and a foot injury further complicates his path to playing.

Wicks was not spotted during the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Jimmy Kempski of The Philly Voice reports.

The Eagles are holding a few key pass catchers out of practice Thursday, including Wicks, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. It could just be a rest day for those players, with clarification on any potential injuries to come on Thursday's injury report. If Wicks is dealing with an injury, he'll have an extra day to recover since the Eagles play Monday against Dallas.

Smith wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Smith sat out Weeks 4 and 5 due to a hamstring injury, but he logged a full practice last Friday before suiting up this past Sunday against the Panthers. His snap share (66 percent) in that contest was below his weekly norm, but he still hauled in seven of 14 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown while working with QB Tanner McKee. Thursday's practice report will reveal if Smith is dealing with a health concern, or is merely getting the day off.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the Packers have no concern regarding Golden's (shoulder) availability for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Golden and Christian Watson (ankle) were both listed as limited participants at Wednesday's practice, but Green Bay's coach is confident that both starting wideouts will be available Sunday. Watson (538) and Golden (501) have combined for the most yards by any pair of teammates at wide receiver in the league this season.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the team has no concern regarding Watson's (ankle) availability for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

LaFleur said the same thing about Matthew Golden (shoulder) after Green Bay's top two wide receivers were both limited participants at Wednesday's practice. Watson may continue to have his practice reps monitored, but he isn't in any danger of sitting out Sunday's matchup against Detroit's struggling secondary.

Egbuka (concussion/foot) was working on the side with a trainer at Thursday's practice, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

After sitting out Wednesday's practice, Egbuka was spotted Thursday but it remains to be seen whether or not he will be credited with any official level of practice participation. He'll need to log a full practice Friday to have a chance to clear concussion protocol before Sunday's game against the Panthers, and Egbuka is also nursing a foot injury to further complicate his path to availability.

Thompson (quadriceps) was active but didn't play any snaps Sunday in the Chargers' 22-6 loss to the Chiefs.

After sitting out the Chargers' previous three games due to the quad issue, Thompson was listed as questionable heading into Sunday's contest after three limited practices. Though he got the green light to suit up, Thompson was presumably available only in an emergency since the Chargers' seven-man inactive list consisted of players who were dealing with more significant injuries. Thompson will have added time to get healthy while the Chargers are on bye Week 7, and if he can fully practice at some point during Week 8, he'll have a good chance at seeing his first game action since Week 2 in the team's Nov. 1 matchup with the Rams.
